We had the absolute pleasure of working with Katy and her team for our June 2021 wedding. From the start, Katy was super responsive and attentive to our needs. We had to cancel our original wedding plans and replan a destination in less than 3 months. I was so stressed out, but Katy and her team made everything SO easy even being so far away. Typically I am a very hands on, want to plan everything myself type of person, but I completely put my trust in Katy's hands and she DELIVERED! In October of 2018 My fiancé and I started the search for wedding planners in the St. Augustine area. We had our hearts set on getting married at the Casa Monica hotel on Halloween night 2020. We live in Fort Lauderdale and needed to find someone we could trust with a lot of orchestrating as we wouldn't be able to come up too often before our date. During our first call with Katy we knew we had found the perfect partner in planning! Not only did Katy have some wonderful ideas, she was genuine and truly excited to work with us. We planned and planned. Katy put us in touch with amazing vendors and supported us every step of the way. We exchanged dozens of emails, calls and texts. Two years and a pandemic later, we had to make the very difficult decision of postponing our wedding to October 2021. Even now, as a type this - I have no idea if it's happening next year. What I can tell you is that Katy, in the midst of cancelling her own destination wedding, stopped and moved mountains for us. She and her team worked tirelessly to reach out to all of our vendors, confirm availability for our new dates and re-sign all of our contracts. Whether our actual wedding in St. Augustine happens or not, we will forever have Katy and her team in our hearts. I have never once in two years felt anxious or fearful. If I could choose one vendor to book over and over, it would hands down be Katy and Coastal. From the get go, she was so attentive, caring, detail oriented, and professional. As a destination bride, I knew I needed a coordinator, but I am SO HAPPY I did the full planning package. It was hands down the best money spent ever. Being a covid bride was so tough especially going from a pregnant bride to a mama bride, and I can honestly say without Katy I couldn't have done it. She made me feel so supported and calm through the whole process and I will be forever grateful! The day of, my dress strap broke, was soaking wet (because rain and wind in Florida-DUH!) and got black soot from the floor during pictures. MAN OH MAN, My review is long overdue and must be shared!!! What can I say abt Katy and her Team?!?!? I was in a wedding as the Best man in a wedding with a couple, family, and friends from NY state August 2021. I know the bride has already expressed how impressed and satisfied she and the groom were but; as part of the bridal party- I WAS SO IMPRESSED with how Katy and the team not only managed the event well, but THE PEOPLE! We as group of people from different backgrounds and cultures including, Haitian, African American, West Indian... ALL PEOPLE OF COLOR! I cannot say enough about Coastal Coordinating. We threw a big fat Indian/Pakistani wedding with 5 events in 3 day and Katy and Cayla knocked it out of the park. They were extremely detail oriented, calm, organized, and ready for anything. We booked them about 6 months before our wedding date and they took everything in stride.
