I write this review with sadness as our floral vision did not come to life as I had dreamed. I was…read morerecommended to use Ivy Floral Studio by a family friend who is a photographer who had used her for events previously for smaller arrangements. When we first began our conversations I was excited and could see the vision coming along. I was given great advice on how to maximize our budget, inspo photos and truly trusted in the company to bring the vision to life. Unfortunately, the most important part of the process is where my dissatisfaction came through: the wedding day delivery. Our event started at 3:30 and the florist and team arrived around 10:30 with a box truck and worked outside with the florals from 10:30-2:00 pm. Throughout this process florals were being sorted in the open, windy, un-air conditioned parking lot. My coordinator had raised some concerns when she noticed that all of the florals were being set up outside and not kept refrigerated or safe from the elements but was assured by the florist that everything was alright outside and it'd make its way in. The TEN bridesmaid bouquets valued at $100+ were delivered frail and a bit droopy with yellowing greenery and after getting a second opinion this indicates the florals are older, NOT fresh as the site promises. 6/10 of them had to be re-wrapped due to the wilted flowers. The bridal bouquet valued at $300+ not only had wilting florals and broken stems but had to be re-wrapped due to the poor/quick preparation of it. When the bridal bouquet was 1st delivered it had to be sent back to fill in holes where flowers were clearly lacking. One of the biggest disappointments was the discrepancies in how full our partial arch was supposed to be... the inspo photos that were sent and shown to me as what I could imagine with fullness, shape, size etc (just not color) was about 1.5x as full as our actual arch that was set up at the church. With a few more disappointments here and there (boutonnière, florals on dinner tables) we did our best to work with Vanessa to understand why this happened and our disappointment (within time frame suggested on site) and overall she explained that refunding 1.92% of our total expense is the best she can do. I'm sad and want to let other brides who have the most important day of their life coming up to just be weary especially when choosing who to spend $10,000 + on. I had seen the florists other work and was so excited for this vision board to come to life. At the end of the day, we don't feel seen or heard about our disappointment with this company.

If I could give the property and the company two different ratings I would…read more The layout of the property; the backyard, the private entrance to the beach, just enough dunes to create a great look - all are perfect. The company who manages it: Sue, Jake and Simon are a different story. Jake makes promises that he can't keep. Sue isn't organized and visible overwhelmed. Didn't work with Simon much, but when we did he backtracked on a lot of his answers to questions. No one could give me a solid answer on lights. Lights were supposedly hung by a licensed electrician. I've never seen a licensed electrician leave power cords with exposed openings hanging on the side of the building. Sue is great for trying to make the property's problem, your problem. Make sure you get EVERYTHING in writing. My clients absolutely LOVED the property which is THE only reason we stayed. If you use this property, please please please, get a day of coordinator to handle the mess of Sue and Simon (Jake has been MIA for months)! Don't rely on them or you may end up with LED backyard lights!

It was a shame to learn a week prior that Sarah, our wedding planner for the past year, would be unable to attend our events. As expected (without the original wedding planner) a few things went wrong along the way. I confronted Sue, the owner, with the issues in writing via email and she made it right with us in the end. We are confident since the company took responsibility we will be able to put the small things behind us in our future memories of our big day with the closure we received. It was a beautiful day on Clearwater Beach and we do have a lot to applaud Sun Coast Wedding for! I just wish it was perfect, but doesn't every bride? :) My advice: read your contract and make sure your original planner will be at your wedding! There were a few things I was promised and/or misunderstood with my original planner. Such as, Sun Coast is not your wedding "coordinators". They are your wedding "planners". Example: If you have things that need to be set up (like personal decor) they are not responsible for setting it up because it is not in the contract. So make sure everything is in writing in the contract, not just agreed upon via email or phone. Congratulations and good luck!
