We knew we wanted something personal and very fun. After reading Irv's reviews on yelp, we decided to schedule a meeting. We met with Irv and within 20 minutes, I knew he was the one. He had me laughing and tearing up right away. He really has a great personality that engaged us and made us feel comfortable. We also got to write our own gifts or vows to each other. It was an interesting take on the old way of doing vows. It made it real and personal. During the ceremony, it was very special to see and hear our guests react to those stories because they each played a part in those them. I'll admit that planning a wedding is out of my league. Additionally, I work part-time and I'm studying to be a psychiatrist. My husband is a biological scientist and conservation planner, which requires him to frequently travel. Not only did we not have any idea where or how to begin planning a wedding, but we also both have very little free time. From our first interaction with Shannon, we were extremely impressed. In fact, our first interaction with Shannon was on a Friday night since that was the only time that our schedules allowed us to talk with her. Throughout the nine months that we worked with her to plan our wedding, Shannon always communicated with us when it was most convenient for us - including nights, weekends, and even holidays. Because we live in Tallahassee, FL - the location of our wedding - and Table 6 Productions is located in St Petersburg, FL, Shannon communicated with us by phone and email. Shannon worked with every vendor involved in our wedding, which included negotiating and securing contracts with them. Although Shannon was working outside of the area of our wedding venue, the planning process was seamless. Shannon listened to our ideas for our wedding, and she then turned our dreams into reality. We have no idea if Shannon was working with other couples during the time that she was planning our wedding, as she never mentioned it. Shannon gave my husband and I VIP treatment, making us both feel like royalty. Since wedding planning is about your big day, why wouldn't you want to feel like you are the most important couple in the world? We set an original budget, which Shannon strived hard to adhere to. We did exceed it, but that was only by our choice. Shannon was very conscientious with regards to our budget, and she made recommendations about rentals and other aspects of our wedding that were not necessary in an attempt to stay within our original budget. Again, we only went over our original budget by choosing to have specific elements in our wedding that were not originally discussed with Shannon. Three months prior to our wedding date, Shannon made a trip to Tallahassee, FL to meet with all of our vendors, my husband, and myself. Several of our vendors mentioned to us that they were impressed that Shannon came to meet with them in person, as that is rare for other wedding planners that they've worked with - including ones who live in our area. In fact, all of our vendors and everyone involved in our wedding informed us how friendly Shannon was and what a pleasure she was to work with. Shannon's knowledge of the wedding industry, coupled with her attention to detail, allowed her to execute every aspect of planning our wedding with flawless precision and class. There is no possible way that our wedding would have come to fruition without Shannon's help. Over the course of planning our wedding with Shannon, we became so close that we consider her more than our wedding planner - she is valued as a member of our family. When she finally did, she ignored the majority of my questions and only answered one part. She kept asking for info I had already sent, forgot details she told me & was very unorganized. She schedules all of her meetings on one day of the week so she was late to every meeting with us. The one before our rehearsal ran late, then she left early for another meeting scheduled directly after. After our wedding party waited for her to show, she rush it & we felt helpless when she left in a hurry. She ensured us that she would set everything up the wedding day but only arrived a few hours early. All the bridesmaids, groomsmen & families had to help set up because it was impossible for her to do it in such a short time. Because of this, we couldnt get ready & it delayed the entire night. Many things she or her staff said would be taken care of, were not done. For ex, I told her our table layout was so important to us & we were told a month before that they would create it. I asked her several times for the layout, in person & email & she ignored me. My mom & I had to waste 30 minutes helping her move tables when we should have been getting ready. We voiced our frustration, then she talked down to us condescendingly, blamed us & whipped her hair at us while she whispered nastily to her staff. I was shocked to be treated this way on my wedding day just because she didnt do her job. It affected my mood the entire day. While taking first look photos, Cindy was still inside setting up instead of coordinating or keeping track of the timeline, so guests entered early & watched us as we took photos - in my wedding dress - before I ever walked down the aisle. This was truly devastating. The rest of my photos with family & wedding parties were rushed so we didn't get all of the photos we wanted. The ceremony was delayed by 40 minutes so we did not get to enjoy cocktail hour which is what we made clear to her we really wanted to do. It took time away from our day & our guests. Everything else was rushed the entire night. I constantly felt stressed, anxious, frustrated, & disappointed. I felt bad for my guests who had to wait outside so long. Cindy and her staff kept asking me questions all night about what should be done next, which is her job. The vendors also came to me for questions about the timeline because she wasn't keeping track. I saw later that she was spending her time taking photos at my Photo Booth. At the end of the night, she left without telling me and one of her staff helped us put our decor away who mixed up our items with the venues and she threw our belongings carelessly in boxes, causing some to break. Because of Cindy, my wedding day was delayed. We missed moments we wanted, time with guests, photos we wanted to capture. It put me in a bad mood, I was worried about things that she should have been taking care of. I felt bad for my guests who were so confused & waited for so long. The vendors were confused and rushed. We didn't get sentimental moments with our families and friends in the morning. I wasn't able to be excited while anticipating the wedding. I couldn't fully enjoy the moment. I am devastated that she let this happen on the biggest day of my life. Based on her other reviews, she makes excuses, blames her clients & accuses every bad review of being fraudulent. I fully expect her to turn this around on me somehow, but everyone can see through her. Cindy, please don't waste your time, you have done enough to me that will stick with me for the rest of my life. You severely impacted my wedding day and I will never be able to have that moment back.
