A couple hours later they called and said a technician was on his way. He arrived found the problem. He had the correct tools to fix it and took care of the problem. We knew it was a warranty issue but just to make sure i was not immediately giving a bill for the service totally understand. While bill me twice if by chance it wasn't covered. I just received a text saying it was covered by warranty. Minus the service call. I paid the 75 dollars. Great deal if you ask me. Very long story but here's my point. This is exactly what I call great customer service. No drama no worries just great service. I received that from Bishs. Thank you so much.

Scot showed up promptly as promised. He was so polite and showed genuine concern for our issues on our new rv. He was extremely knowledgeable and thorough. He did several test on all the units, took photos for documentation...it didn't take him long to see that we needed 2 brand new units. He took care of all the warranty work that needed to be set up. He was so good I asked him to schedule the unit for winterization. Can't say enough about Scot, he is the gold standard for customer service. We purchased a 2019 5th wheel and realized it was used and leather would have issues, and components may be tired, but when you ask how the fireplace works and they skip by it and say good, but the remote is not available at the moment when what they mean is, "NO, it doesn't work, that tends to irk me. Then there's the issue that the large slide doesn't go out all the way, or the fact that on delivery they forgot to put the electric cord in the camper so I had to ask for it and wait 20 minutes while they played tag as to who was at fault. OK, maybe being a bit picky, so when I contact them and say I need to replace the fireplace, not looking for any favors because, as they pointed out, when you leave with it, there's no warranty, I just wished to replace the fireplace myself and thought I could get a deal by buying from them. I got; I will get right back to you. That was a couple weeks ago and I'm pretty sure the crickets that I've heard are going to continue. If it weren't for the fact that the rv we got from them was what we were looking for I'd be regretting the purchase. We love our 5th wheel, we just hated the service and bullshit we had to go through.

The findings clearly show the service was either incomplete or never performed: Critically low oil -- no evidence of an oil change ever being done. Cracked, heat-damaged exhaust. Clogged, deteriorated fuel filter. Leak in the main water board due to a damaged fitting. The total cost to correct these issues was $688.83, which we paid out of pocket. I have photo and video documentation of each issue, along with the repair invoice. Despite these findings and repeated outreach, we have still not received any response from the General Manager. The lack of follow-up or accountability is unacceptable and will be included in my formal complaints to the BBB, South Carolina Consumer Affairs, and other consumer protection agencies.

    I live in Raleigh, NC. I bought a boat in Surfside Beach, SC after driving down to look it over…read more This was at the end of May, 2025. In early June 2025, I hired Shane and SS Marine & RV Service for a pre-purchase inspection and received a very clean bill of health. It was on blocks so I also needed to buy a trailer. I worked with Shane and paid for a trailer and went ahead and bought 2 power poles, a new fuse box, 2 new batteries, a 9-inch chartplotter, 48" guide rails, and a full boat cleaning and detailing. After it sat in the previous owners driveway another month, It was finally moved.  And that is when things came off the rails. * The new trailers were "delayed"... It's mid-May 2026 and I've yet to see a trailer, although we've allegedly gone through 4 different options he claimed to have secured for me. * The power poles supplier shipped the wrong poles...then Shane thought the poles wouldn't hold the boat so a different pair was to be provided...I've yet to see my 2 power poles. * I've yet to see the new fuse box. * As for the 48" Guide rails for the trailer.  Have not seen the trailer OR these since there IS no trailer.  * I've yet to see the new chartplotter/electronics. * I traded Shane a new depth finder for a Bluetooth radio to be integrated into the 9" screen.  I've yet to see that. * I've seen zero proof that any work has been performed on my boat.  I've asked numerous times for pictures and videos but he finds ways to avoid sending them. * I drove 3.5 hours to pick up the boat just for him to tell me he noticed a gas tank leak. He said he would replace it but I've seen no proof that has been done. * On a separate occasion, I drove 3.5 hours again to be told my motor won't start...no Compression.  Worked out a deal to trade my motor for a repower.  He sent pictures to confirm my motor had been removed but no new motor has been confirmed back on the boat.  "I don't typically send pictures to customers!" * Shane has missed 15 confirmed Dates of Delivery, with one being where he just never showed up.  He claimed he told his secretary to call...  And these are dates HE set.  Just recently I got the, "I promise on my mother's grave we're sticking to this date!"  Yes...  we missed it. * The endless list of excuses range from his suppliers missing deadlines or not delivering the items I bought, more issues he's found but can't prove he's repaired them, his employees not returning from vacation, one employee allegedly getting held up, employees having family emergencies, Shane having family emergencies, car accidents, shooting scenes in the Netflix series "Outerbanks" (no I'm not making that up), and even his employees not receiving phone calls or texts so he could verify what work is being done. * He will tell me how much money HE is investing in my project to make it right, but 11-months in, there is zero progress other than he's proven hes removed my original motor.  And he will remind you that you are not his only customer as many times as you ask for updates. * Including my boat and the missing trade-in value of the motor he has removed, he is sitting on  $15,000 of my property and services not provided. And, we have the receipts he peovided. I've paid Shave via wire transfer across state lines over $7,500 and after 11-months, I have nothing to show, and cant even get to my boat since he keeps it behind his locked gates at storage yards. Shane says all the right things but proves none of the things he says.  If he tells you he will call you tomorrow, that means hes call you in 3-4 days, if calls at all. Do a free Google search and see what public information is out there.  Get to know Rusty Shane Shockley before you consider doing business with him and SS Marine & RV Service. However, My Extended Warranty Listed Campers Inn As Accepting My Warranty And They Could Get Me In Right Away, Thus I Happily Chose Them. . I Called Campers Inn In Advance To Verify Location, Hours And Appointment Time. I Spoke With Service Technician Keith. He Was Great!! Very Informative And Happy To Setup Servicing My Motorhome. Christian Even Searched And Found The Water Pump At Their Other Location Nearby And It Arrived Within 20 minutes or so. Bernie Replaced The Water Pump And I Was On My Way!! . Jamie Rosicki Originally Quoted Me The Wrong Part To Be Replaced And Informed Me That My Motorhome Would 'Probably' Be Ready The Next Day In The Afternoon. If I Had Not Demanded To Go To My Motorhome And Speak With Technician Directly, I Would Have Had To Get A Hotel Room To Spend The Night, Wait For An INCORRECT Part For No Good Reason, Only To Later Find Out A Correct Part Was Right Down The Street At Their Other Location. . We stopped in to see if they had someone that could come to the campground to look at it. They were very helpful and let us know someone could come out within a few hours. The tech arrived within a few hours as quoted and fixed our issues. The service fee was paid by the kings mountain, nc location since we just purchased it there about one month ago. I would definitely recommend campers inn to anyone looking to purchase a camper.
