There are a few different areas of the playground…read morewith a really tall play structure for older kids, and small play structures for littlest kids. There's also a climbing wall, zip line kinda thing, and a really big sand lot with a volcano-kinda thing in the middle that is deceptively difficult to walk up because the sand makes it slippery! PLUS there's a splash pad water fountain wet area! That part is not open year round. I mean it's open, but the fountains aren't running in the winter. All this is surrounded by covered picnic tables, very large grassy areas, walking paths covered by trees. Car parking. Bicycle parking. Clean bathrooms. Friendly clientele. We entered from the east side of the park where there is pedestrian access. On the west side of the park near the vehicle entrance, there is a skate park! And 4 half basketball courts, plus a boulder, I guess for bouldering.

Stunning views but dangerous. You know, The Ocean, Mother Nature. Just be careful. We stay at the hotel across the street from the park and like taking walks that end up here at the park. It's hard to pull yourself away from the beauty of the waves crashing against the rocks. There is a couple benches and a picnic table to sit at but no bathrooms or B.B.Q. Pits. Remember, it's a State Park in the city of Depoe Bay, that means "No Smoking."

It's not terribly far, but it's fun to get out and just enjoy the neighborhood. Neighbor's are always friendly, waving at us as we walk by, even saying hi. The park itself is pretty tiny, nothing really exciting about it. But if you're looking for a small park that's quiet, it's perfect. We've taken picnic items and just relaxed in the grass and shade to have a nice lunch. We've gone to Subway nearby and picked up sandwiches that we stop to eat in the park. Every once in a while it's fun to indulge our inner 5-year old selves by going down the slide or hanging from the monkey bars. It's an evening destination for us when it's cool for a great walk. I've been coming here for years, and will definitely return. I love that it's close enough to my house to walk to, get some good exercise, and just enjoy a relaxing outing.

This park has a great vibe and really expresses the culture and history of the area. Just a short…read morewalk across the creek bridge from historic Silverton's main street shops and restaurants. You can hear the babble of the small brook as your kids play in the park. The children have so much fun at this local Silverton Park they don't even notice when it starts to sprinkle on their heads nor do they care. As you can see from the photos the local residents take great pride in this park I do recommend spending a morning or afternoon.
