This park has pretty cool play structure, but it's not so good for young children (toddlers). The really long slide looks very fun, but I wasn't about to send my one year old down. This is definitely a fun spot to let kids burn off some energy if the beach hasn't done it already!

I've taken my nephews to this park several times and each time we spend hours here. There are two playgrounds -- one for little kids and one for bigger kids -- with innovative climbing, rope and spinning features that keep them busy just trying to figure out how and then to actually do it. I've often found them getting instructions from an older girl who's mastered it. There's a bridge over a wetland garden and the landscaping in general is native and very nicely done. I've chased those boys all over the playground and there are plenty of places to hide or little ways to lose the one chasing you. There are benches and picnic tables which the adults usually sit at and strike up conversations with new friends. But the best feature of the playground is the large tube slide which starts at the top of hill in a pirate's ship. It twists and turns down and shoots you out the other end at which point the boys usually run laughing back up the hill for more. There are things to climb around on at the top as well, which offers a great view of Nye Beach. Located a block from the beach, walking distance from a bunch of great restaurants in historic district of Nye Beach, this is a great place to spend a few hours with kids.

Only once did I have a disappointing experience, but I learned that the classroom experiences just weren't flexible enough for me. I shifted to only touring the visitor's center for about an hour, and that is affordable and fun. My students gather data in the tide pools south of Newport, so it's nice to just play here afterwards. I'd like to be able to have them tour a dorm room and maybe a classroom for 10 minutes too, if that were offered. My students are college- bound juniors and seniors. Big parking lot with plenty of space for buses.

This park has been on my list to visit for sometime as their unique Bobsled coaster was calling my name and let's just say ego doesn't love bing put in a bobsled with a cage around it and sent flying down a mountainside in an out of control way yes it absolutely was a good time! They have a log flume too which you do get wet f but not soaked and this too was a good to me as it really put you right in the forest setting of the park with that steep water drop! They have a bunch of walk through attractions some if your favorite childhood stories like the one where this poor defenseless witch almost gets pushed in an oven by some bad kids as well as seven dwarfs of fun! They had some shows and also a dark ride then a haunted house so you really could spend a few hours here easily, this park was perfect for all ages as we as adults had fun too! They sell discounted presale tickets on their website so if you can plan your adventure here do it in advance it will save you some cash! This park did get busy on the Saturday I was here but not until like noon so do yourself a favor and rope drop it like I did and you'll get a ton of things done before the crowds show up! Overall super fun cute park that hopefully I get to visit again someday but let's just say I won't run back well maybe to see all the pretty trees that set the vibe of this beautiful park!

They have a cool free train ride that takes you around the park so definitely don't skip out on that! They also had a small county fair going on when I was here so that was a cool mix to add to an already super fun park! There really is something here for everyone so don't sell yourself short as this is a great local park that is definitely something I'd frequently visit if I lived here as I love places like this and there just aren't many out there like this anymore! A solid 4. Man alive is it EXPENSIVE to bowl now a days. Oh lord - do I sound OLD AF saying that!!!…read moreHa! My daughter and I went to bowl as part of celebrating her birthday. She and I chose King Pins. Well I technically chose them as the bowling was the least expensive in the area. And for us two, for 90 minutes, it was almost $70. Yes. That's EXPENSIVE. So we made the most of it and had a great time. We played with all the options in the bowling area for games and were silly and had fun. And clearly didn't bowl well lol But despite the price - fun was had. Service is okay at best over by the "Tap house," but at least the option exists to have "table service," while you bowl. This trip was just bowling. No arcade! Still 4 stars.

It was a last minute ask (thank you, dear child *eye roll*) that I was able to book at a preferred time in under a week, and the kids had fun, which is what mattered most! From start to finish, service was spot on: we were met by Coleton who walked us through the logistics & timing, as well as helped with some changes I requested due to attendance, and our server was Paige who made sure the boys never went without beverages. Pizzas came out quickly so the kids were able to eat & bowl, and everything was timed to perfection so they were able to sing to the Birthday Boy and enjoy cake before heading over for some Laser Tag & arcade time to end the festivities. It was also great to have a table reserved in the arcade area for belongings & whatnot, which also allowed some pitchers of beverages for the rest of the time. The space itself was immaculate and staff was buzzing around to keep tables turned over, bowling balls replaced to their rightful homes for future bowlers and the restrooms (at least the ladies!) were also clean (I know that can be a big deal for families, especially with Littles). All in all, I'd say this was money well spent, especially considering everything that is included in the package. For 7 total kids, I think they played 3-4 games of bowling, we did 2 laser tag games & their arcade time, didn't have to set up, break down or clean up party supplies/food, etc -- id do it again in a heartbeat!
