Seems to have this big wall which I believe is historic. I believe there is a sign there explaining some of the history. Cool little place to check out!

This is a nice little neighborhood park with grassy expanses, paved trails, picnic benches, and a…read morenice playset. There are some trees for shade but most of the park is unshaded - on a hot, sunny day it may not be ideal. I think one or two of the picnic tables might be partly-shaded in full sun, but the benches would not be. At least today, and my husband says the other couple times he's been, the lovely-looking grassy areas have been overwatered and a little squishy, even muddy in places, so sitting in the shade under a tree might not work well without a lawn chair. It's bounded on three sides by the back fences/hedges of the houses adjacent to it, the fourth is open to a very quiet residential road (SW Wimbledon Circle S). If you are coming on foot from the north, it may be a slightly shorter walk to take SW Wimbledon Circle N, where there is a little entrance path (paved, with signs at the entry to the park) through from the street between two houses. However, when they are watering near the fence, the paths in that area are in the spray path of the sprinklers.

If you're out for a hike and then you come back and make dinner. It's barely even dark at 9:00. I wish the showers stayed open until 11:00. Also some of the camping spots have zero shade and or privacy. So while the facilities are clean and nice, do be selective on the spot you get. I would happily come here again with friends but not a place I would come to on my own as it feels very exposed.

There's ample space in Apple parking and if you want to take a break from the playground and there's plenty of trails that walk around the river you can make some loops and more. There's also plenty of covered areas for birthday parties barbecues, or just get together which you can reserve at the beginning of the year they fill up fast.

Yes, the Quidditch game from the Harry Potter movies. Here's what the park has: Four tennis courts, Two basketball courts, Two multi-sport & well-maintained turf fields with stadium lights, a water feature surrounded by amphitheater seating Play structures and lots of parking on either side of the large fields! Oh, there's also Insomnia Coffee shop next to this park so if you need something to munch on or more caffeine to wake yourself up then just come to the coffee shop! There is also a sushi restaurant (Hero Sushi) and a sports bar (Coyote's Bar & Grill). I don't know what Quidditch position you play, but you sure look like a Keeper.
