had a highly unsatisfactory experience with Coast Capital Savings Bank. After having an account for only six weeks, I discovered an unauthorized transaction amounting to $680.89 from a foreign country. Coast Capital labeled this incident as "ATM skimming," despite the fact that I had only conducted four transactions--three with tellers at Coast Capital Savings Bank and one at an ATM located at the Coast Capital branch on North Road, Burnaby. This raises serious concerns about the integrity of Coast Capital Savings ATMs or potentially implicates their tellers and/or managers.
Furthermore, my attempt to resolve the issue by changing my PIN was met with significant obstacles at the branch located at 11911 Cambie, Richmond. Despite receiving an appointment confirmation for the following business day, the branch canceled my appointment upon my arrival, incorrectly claiming that no appointment had been scheduled. Even when I presented the email confirmation, the staff remained uncooperative and unhelpful.
In addition, phone representatives have been dismissive, offering only excuses and referring to similar incidents involving other customers from the previous year. This experience indicates severe shortcomings in the bank's operations and customer service. Based on this, I question whether Coast Capital Savings Bank should continue to operate. read more
