There are many teachers who I love and connect with, and to be honest their are some who's teaching styles don't speak to me. That's the beauty of this place and all the options. I did see someone leave a one star review that only took one class, and said that this place is only for beginners. I've been doing yoga for years, and have taken Flow and Power Flow classes at this studio with Faye, Chantal, and Virginia where they tried to guide you through more advanced poses/ techniques. Even in the gentle flow classes that I've taken with Faye and Darby, they give you the space to make it your own practice and go into more advanced techniques if you have them in your practice during their class. They always offer different options for everyone in class, based on their experience/ practice/ body. I also highly recommend taking breathwork with Elaine on Monday nights and the sound bath on Sunday nights, and give it a second chance if you're tried it once before. The first time, its hard to get out of your head, but once you can get present and go with the flow of what your body needs, its a great experience. I always feel lighter afterwards.

I want to start off by saying that Lorraine is a very genuine and authentic person. She truly cares…read moreabout this practice and it's obvious she was meant to follow this path with how passionate she talks about healing others and wanting everyone to be their best self. I have never received any type of healing work in person before. I was very excited to finally get some done to sorta compare it to the previous healings I've received in the past. Lorraine's work by far exceeded any expectations I had. After going through with our 3 sessions I could clearly feel and understand the difference between the other healers. She really takes her time and immersed her entire being into our sessions. I've labeled each experience by session number to make it easier to understand what happens in each session. Session 1: I came in not having the best of day. I had a headache and felt off. Once we began the session I felt vibrations going through my body. She started working on the head and that lasted about 20 mins. My headache slowly went away and I could feel my third eye really aligning with this healing. At the end she said she also felt my third eye really absorbing a lot which is great. She then went on to heal my body of any pain. She asked if I wanted her to focus on a specific area or if I wanted her to intuitively feel my body out and see where it needed healing. I told her both would be fine. I told her about pain I have in my lower back and she focused on that area. She also found some pain in my right leg/knee and focused on that for a bit too. At the end of our session I felt very relaxed and a bit tired. I was more at peace leaving our session than when I had entered. Session 2: when she started working on the temple I felt vibrations wash over my body again and became align with the energy. For session 2 you have the option to choose between more body healing or picking a negative habit to correct. I chose the negative habit corrector to really align myself with the new year. During the negative habit corrector, I started to feel nauseous, warm, and my head hurt a bit. This lasted a few moments and then I went back to feeling good. This reassured me that the negative habit corrector was going deep into my core and that feeling the unpleasantness was like a moment of release to rid myself of that negative habit. She also assured me that this is completely normal and can be similar to when our body releases toxins. During the last part of session 2 where Lorraine draws the symbols on our auric body, I actually was able to see one symbol when she was working on the right side of me. The symbol came across as pure light and almost arrow shaped but not a normal arrow. I also saw the different colors of the chakras throughout this process which was cool. After our session I asked her about the one symbol and although she can't show me what they look like, she did say that sounded like one of the symbols. This part of the healing felt like I was being pulled energetically in different directions. Not a bad thing, I just felt a little unstable at the start and then felt more balanced as she kept drawing them. At the end of our session I felt euphoric, I was able to really see things; all the small details and it felt brighter. This healing is definitely something you have to experience firsthand. There's nothing else like it. Session 3: For session 3 it starts off again with the 20 mins on your head/brain and then you can choose to either do some body healing or another negative habit corrector. This session Lorraine was able to work on 2 negative habits. Which was exciting that we had enough time in our hour session to focus on both. Again I saw different colors connected to our chakras and really felt my body downloading the healing taking place and also releasing the negative habits. Since having our final session I feel a lightness and ease with life. I've been more patient with myself and have been better with not people pleasing, not worrying about others actions, and being much kinder to myself. When I arrived there was no intro, no check in, nada~ I didn't love that for safety reasons and from a customer service perspective. Especially since it was only myself and the therapist inside. The room smelled heavily of paint fumes which in turn made me feel worse than when I arrived. I asked Janelle if the spa was painted recently and she said no, but there is adjacent construction. I had to place tissue on the face cradle to help with the smell and when I flipped onto my back I had her get me a tissue and put some essential oil on it so I could stuff it into my nostrils. While this construction is taking place the spa might consider investing in air purifiers, plants that absorb odors and toxins, as well as some essential oils diffusing. My body feels good thanks for Janelle, but I'm not sure I'll be back for the reasons listed.

Even some shoulder pain I was having was gone. She really gets into the reflexology points and works out the kinks. She can even tell where you are having problems from poking at your feet. A real reflexology treatment starts without any type of lotion. All the points in the feet are worked over and then at the very end Mitta uses some lotion to massage the calves and finish off the feet. She is formally trained and it shows.
