Co-Sign Speakeasy serves a variety of excellent cocktails in the "Bank on 8th" building that was built in 1926. The bar's space was renovated to transport customers to the secrecy of the Prohibition era. Through OpenTable, I made a reservation for my husband and me. We entered the building through a side entrance on Amity Street, checked in with an employee at a desk, and then waited for another employee to walk us to the 100-year-old elevator (it still works!). On the fourth floor, we saw old bank items such as safety deposit boxes and mechanical check printers. We pushed a button to turn a clock handle to a certain time, and then a hidden door opened. We entered the bar, and two bartenders, Ryan and Robbie, greeted us. The menu listed vodkas, gins, tequilas, mezcals, liquors, bourbons, ryes, rums, seasonal drinks, and mocktails. Food could be ordered from the Puerto Rican restaurant Secretos De Mis Abuelos that is located elsewhere in the building. The bar consisted of a few rooms, each of which had glamorous interior design such as antique furniture, wallpaper with bold patterns, paintings, and dimly lit lamps. Beyond the bar was the Library, which had shelves of books and an old radio. The bartenders patiently repeated to us that we should pull a certain book to open another secret door that would lead us to the Red Room. We finally figured out which book to pull, and we walked down stairs to a parlor with rich, red hues, plush seating, and (at least at that time) a more private, quiet setting. I ordered the French martini (vodka, Chambord, pineapple juice, raspberry vanilla shrub, and raspberries) and the Painkiller (spiced rum, coconut rum and cream, pineapple juice, orange juice, and nutmeg), and I rate them both as 5 stars. We came here on Saturday night for a private event. My friend rented out the whole space for her birthday! I really enjoy the speakeasy aspect and how it's dark and moody inside. There's a main space with the bar with surrounding tables, a smaller back room with some comfy chairs, and a hidden room underneath that's fairly spacious. The service was great and I was able to get a drink really quickly. I liked how they let the birthday person bring in outside food and utensils and set it up in the back room. I love Co-Sign Speakeasy in Homestead, Pa, just outside of Pittsburgh. It's on the 4th floor of a 100 year old former bank building. There are multiple other immersive and fun businesses located in the building that you can do before or after going to Co-Sign for some amazing cocktails. They have Escape Room Pittsburgh, Ace Ax Throwing, and a little restaurant. The speakeasy has a prohibition era design/aesthetic, a clever puzzle to solve to enter, and another hidden room that you can enter through a trick in the study-I don't want to give the tricks away. The bartender, Robby, is incredible and does a great job guiding you towards what cocktail to order if you're in the fence or indecisive. I went to Co-Sign last night and was blown away! They are speakeasy located in Homestead and they are in an old bank, which is super cool. There is a little puzzle to solve inorder to open the door to the bar and honestly my friend and I were not sure if we were going to be able to solve it haha! But fear not, we cracked the code and were met with a swanky speakeasy bathed in dim lights and buzzing with good vibes. Some of the cocktails we sipped on were the dirty martini, cosmopolitan, and French Blonde. The cocktails were extremely delicious and super cute! The bartender was really nice and they had live music as well, giving you all the speakeasy vibes. Secret doors and hidden rooms were tucked away everywhere! We managed to discover the Red Room nestled under the bar, but don't worry, my lips are sealed on how we got there. Co-Sign is a must-visit for anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable night out. Delicious drinks, amazing vibes, and a touch of mystery - what more could you ask for? I'm so glad that I finally had the chance to check this place out. It has a true speakeasy vibe with no signage. You also have to solve a puzzle to get into the bar itself. It's set in an old bank and they play off that very well with their decorations. We stopped by on Friday night, around 9:30. We didn't have a reservation, but we're able to get in. It was fairly crowded, but we got seats at the bar and didn't have to wait all that long for our drinks. The bartender was definitely overwhelmed, but our drinks were still excellent! I've been wanting to check out this place since I heard about it. It is recommended that you get a reservation because it's quite small inside. It was a little difficult to find the entrance because there was a private party in the main room and it felt strange wandering through to get to the back. There is a neat little way to get into the bar once you get upstairs and you can see all the old bank elements which is neat. The atmosphere is neat and there is a little back room sort of like a library area. The cocktails were good and they infuse their own spirits- the earl grey gin and lavender cocktail was lovely.
