Took several weeks to find that out from SJGH. Then spoke to CMC Referral dept and they said that they'd inform the Dr about it. Didn't here anything for a week, so I had to make an appointment in office to see someone at CMC about the MRI referral. So you might be thinking, then why are you giving 5 stars. This is because of the people that I saw at my in office appt I hope I remember their names correctly, because I'm writing this in the evening. Front desk/check-in are always busy but courteous and attentive once it's your turn. I saw FNP Human.Hussain and Nurse Larisa(Marisa) Larisa was very king/amiabla. Both listened to my health complaints and clearly cared about me. Both understood my situation and apologized for the length of time it was taking to get the MRI requested. Thanks to FNP Hussain, she make the request urgent sing it's been several months since I first started having the pain and discomfort. Their "bedside" manner is very appreciated and made me feel like a valued patient.

He won't even sign a paper if you're disabled, instead he'll give you the insurance number and they'll tell you it's supposed to be him, he's bigger than he should be as a doctor, obviously focusing on himself.

I have open complaints with the medical board and grievances filed with my health insurance. Here is my situation with this doctor. I've had an issue with my neck for a few years now. Tingling numbness and loss of function in my right hand. I went in to be seen and was prescribed a couple anti-inflammatories to try and scheduled a follow up. The prescriptions didn't agree with me and Dr Bai seemed surprised when I told him this. Dr Bai then sent a request for a Nerve Conduction Study. When the time came for him to perform it, the study itself caused me severe pain and distress. (Uncontrolled clenching of my right hand) When I told him how much it was hurting me, he told me to just let the machine work and not resist. When I told him I couldn't control the clenching, he seemed upset and didn't speak much the rest of the study. The results of the study were, in his opinion, "normal" and he then prescribed other forms of anti-inflammatory drugs for me to try and scheduled me a follow up. Every prescription he wrote for me gave me severe side effects. Severe enough that it was easier on me to just deal with the neck pain. When I told this to Dr Bai, he seemed aggravated and said, "Well then don't take them at all then." After that visit, my husband was hurt and I had to postpone my treatment to care for him for a couple of months. When I returned to continue my treatment, Dr Bai recommended an epidural injection. After seeing the great results my husband received from his, I decided to give it a try. (I went in fully aware that every person reacts differently to every medication) On April 1, 2015, I had the epidural done. I was aware that there would be some initial pain and discomfort but I wasn't totally prepared for the reaction I had to it. I was in tremendous pain, the tingling and numbness spread from the original area down my back and right arm. (Which has become permanent) I had terrible headaches, confusion, major changes with my menstrual cycle (like a continuous cycle for three months straight), and I noticed an increase in my symptoms from my rheumatoid arthritis and PTSD. Every follow up after the injection, (a total of 4), I spoke about these side effects especially the loss of function in my right arm, and every time I was told these effects were normal. A couple days before what would end up to be my finally appointment here, my headache was so severe I went to the ER and had a CT Scan done. Nothing abnormal, but the ER doctors said that headaches could be a sign of a severe adverse reaction to my injection. My last appointment with Dr Bai was my most horrible experience yet. I was in a lot of discomfort that day and made sure that Dr Bai knew how I was feeling physically. I told him about the ER trip and he recommended another injection. I told him how the ER doctors believed all my issues were because of the epidural. He reviewed the notes from my previous visits and told me that I had said I was having great results (Red flag!). I told him that was never spoken by my mouth and that I was thinking of seeking a second opinion. He then spent about 10 mins typing something on his computer, wrote me a "note" for my Primary care doctor that's was requesting a neurologist, and sent me on my way. A couple months after all this, and a fight with a faulty PCP who refused my requests to see any form of specialist, I decided to get a copy of my medical records. EVERY SINGLE PAGE HAD LIES ON IT. From procedures I've never received to saying my results from the epidural were good and I was without pain. (The tingling numbness is now constant and making it hard to even type this.) The fact that he lied in my records is affecting my level of care trying to go forward and get myself "fixed." I now have to start over from the beginning but this time with a larger problem than when I first started. If you value your quality of life, I would advise NOT being seen in this office.

After the swelling reduced, I noticed that the under eye area was bumpy and uneven. I called and spoke with the receptionist and she insisted I smooth it out on my own and give it a few days. To be generous, I gave it a month and after seeing the same results, I decided to email the business. I composed an email stating that I was unsatisfied, along with photos of the eye area. After not hearing back from anyone, I sent 3 more emails. It's now been over 2 months and I have yet to hear from anyone--I find this to be unacceptable. I expected a lot more from this "reputable" doctor.

As I pulled into the parking lot, I got a call saying the doctor had an emergency and had to stay in Redding for a patient. I was obviously irked, but I rescheduled and turned around and drove home. The appointment was rescheduled for today. Once again, I drove all the way to his office, got there and it was closed. I was about 15 minutes early, so I killed time in the bakery and went back. The door was unlocked this time, but no one was at the front desk. I called "hello" a couple times and nothing. After ten minutes, a rude lady came from the back and asked if she could help me. I told her I had a 10:30 appointment. She looked at me like I had two heads and asked "With who?!" I said "Dr. Blum". She said "Oh...no. He's on medical leave. I'm sorry but didn't anyone call you?" I refrained from responding "Yes...but I decided to drive here anyway." I explained that I had just driven from Marin AGAIN and all she did was escort me to the door and repeat that she was sorry. She rushed me out with zero concern. So now I'm out five hours, $15 in Bridge toll and gas money. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable.
