This place is a joke. The nurses are incompetent and the staff are ridiculous. How is this place not shut down. Patients are in pain and being rushed out the door. The nurses were gossiping instead of working and surgery was delayed. Infection was horrible and had to go to the hospital after following instructions exactly. My friend had a similar experience. I gave them a 2 only because the nurses Alex & Diana have been Wonderful. Reception area, not so much. I had a procedure done on 11/06/24. The Insurance covering this was workman comp. I needed a something stating I was there & had the procedure to give to my employer as I had to take off from work that day. I called the Tracy Surgery Center the day of my procedure to ask if they could please fax or email my employer something stating I was there I left a detailed message with the email address. Then I called the front office again, same day the Receptionist said no problem I will have them do that. Called for a third time got the receptionist explained the same thing again. She tried to put me off by saying we don't deal with this call the office of the Dr. That did the procedure.It's a simple thing to ask and I've had numerous procedures done there & they've always in the past given me a note. The receptionist kept saying we will see what we can do as if she didn't want to help me. It's very simple!!!! read more

I had been a "frequent flyer" for many years, possibly since they started. I have seen many changes within the facility. The past 2 years or so they've had a MAJOR remodel. Both, aesthetically and staff. The facility might "look" great, but the staff and business changes are not in their favor. I've given them several opportunities, I have been loyal for many years, but all these changes make me feel very uneasy. For many years several staff members, management, and physicians, were like family, but now I see new faces every single time I come in. Most of the time, the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. It shows that the facility is hurting for business. I hate to see this place close. this facility is something else. i had a surgery scheduled on 08/08/24 and had a copay of $2400 and was willing to pay, but as i found out later on that week i had a secondary insuranceinsurance i wasnt aware of which was medi-cal. i asked about if it woul help with the high copay and they said they would call me back. i received a call back from the nurse telling me that unfortunatelynately they couldnt do the surgery since i had medi-cal due to the difference in paying would be from $2400 to $86 and thats to much to write-off. i asked for the manager/administratorator and she proceeds to tell me all of a sudden they are not contracted with medi-cal as secondary. the billing dept wouldve not given me these numbers if that were true. i was unable to get my severe bladder surgery and now have been waiting for another facility through my urologist dealing with this uncomfortable situation even longer due to money for a million dollar company. bullshit read more

My daughter is having a procedure today at UC Davis. They are concerned about "the reaction she had at Tracy Surgery Center and wanted to know more. However, this facility doesn't keep records past a certain amount of years. I find this ridiculous in the age of digital media. These guys sent us to collections for non payment - though they NEVER sent a bill. When I called, they said it was an error - I had to talk to 2-3 different organizations. They gave me a 6 month payment program, said I was not in collections and apologized. They started calling again for non payment - I called and they had ZERO notes on the confirmation - said it was not their department. they could not even transfer to the billing department. This center excessively over charges the patient and insurance companies. My son had a very simple surgery for a broken nose. He wasn't even in their facility for 3 hours total and they billed my insurance $70,000. What a crock of manure! This center even confirmed in advance that their center charges less than the local hospital's surgery center, ha me thinks they lied out their wahoo and I know this for a fact. OMG!! My son had an appointment for carpel tunnel surgery at 9:00am, it is now 11:30 am and we are still waiting, the excuse given is that the doctor is running 2 hours behind schedule! It's been over 2 hours with no further explanation! This is an insult to this doctors patients! How incompetent is this facility to not even care that their patients are waiting in this tiny waiting room! If we had been 2 hours late I'm sure they would have told us we are too late and reschedule!! We had to come from Modesto this morning and had to deal with several accidents along the way that backlogged traffic and we still made it on time! I guess the doctor just comes in whenever he feels like it!! If you can avoid this place!! I'M NOT HAPPY!! read more

This place is the bees knees. Just had knee surgery and everything was on time. I have a phobia of needles and the IV was the easiest one I have ever had. Didn't feel a thing. They use this lidocaine spray that makes you feel nothing. Great experience. Thanks staff and Dr. DeMayo. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! My wife scheduled a surgery 6 months in advance. Numerous Social and business sacrifices were made. She checked in on the day of the surgery. After waiting 1 hour and filling out the appropriate documentation the surgery was cancelled due to Surgery Center/Surgeon planning issues on their end. The point is why would they let my wife check in and wait an hour. She was then asked if she could re-schedule for the following week. Very sad if not just plain goofy. That being said the last thing I want is a business with leadership and planning issues being involved in any surgical procedures on my wife. Think about it before you use them. Tracy is just 30 minutes away from other Cities with most likely better options. read more

Horrible! Make sure to read everything they ask you to sign even though they tell you that they're sign in papers. My husband had a surgery scheduled at 7:30am. We arrive at 6:15am and the receptionist was all over the place. My husband was given a paper to sign which they said it was to sign him in. Nope!!! READ IT !!!! READ IT!!! Nobody told us "signing" him in didn't really mean signing him in. It means your signing to be responsible for an equipment you're coming out of pocket for and not even given an option to purchase. We wouldn't have bought it seeing we had access to the same exact equipment. Management at Tracy Surgery Center is super unprofessional and has zero courtesy to even get on the phone with you. Our ownership in all this was TRUSTING to sign a paper we were told they were just sign in papers. Even though this equipment was given to us by Tracy Surgery Center Management they're washing their hands by saying they don't have anything to do with equipment or their cost equipment company ro deal directly with them. Ummmm you gave me the equipment and yet you have nothing to do with???? How ridiculous is this?? Our lesson to learned was.... Never trust to sign anything anyone says its just this.... or its just that.... Beware Tracy Surgery Center is HORRIBLE!!!! read more

I just had my second procedure at TSC. The staff was courteous, efficient and extremely professional. I was treated like family. From the office staff to the anesthesiologist to the nurses, I was treated with respect as they answered all my questions. The facility was shiny clean and very orderly. A true test for any business is the follow up. I was treated more than fairly regarding post procedure billing and administrative questions. This is a great alternative to the larger hospitals for excellent care! read more
