But Katherine and her husband were wonderful! We met with her in her sweet studio, and she let us peruse all of her recent work (which you should also check out at her website and blog) and album options. Her prices are so reasonable and she is an artist. Most importantly, though she is a pleasure to be around and will enhance your wedding. We LOVE the hundreds of gorgeous images (digital: Color, B&W, Toy camera) and it was so hard to narrow it down to an album. Many of my more discriminating friends have told me that our wedding photos are the best made wedding photos they've ever seen. Check her out. She's an artist. And they were there all the way though the end of the night, with our sparkler send off. She finished processing the photos very quickly (less than 3 weeks) after our wedding. After we agreed on a date and…read moretime to take engagement photos, I received a text message an hour and half before our appointment that she would not be able to make it due to family issues. Considering that I had taken the day off work and had to wake up pretty early since I was doing my own hair and makeup, I was pretty upset about having to push back the photos till later in the day. Ms. Tagle suggested we arrange to try to meet at 4 or 5 in the afternoon. It's SXSW weekend and getting hotter and hotter as the day progresses and she wants to meet downtown during the worst time possible, seriously?!? It didn't help matters that my fiancé had specifically taken the morning off and had to go into work at the time she wanted to reschedule. Thanks to modern technology, I found out through facebook Ms. Tagle had spent the night before at SXSW till early in the morning and had the audacity to post status updates on her whereabouts. In others words, she lied to me on why she wasn't able to make our appointment. I immediately canceled our appointment and requested she refund my deposit. Photographers are a dime a dozen in this town and Ms. Tagle caused me a lot of stress and unneeded anxiety during an already stressful time. His communication is unparalleled. I had a question or sent email, BOOM response. Have a request? Boom, response. Have revision or question about his contract? BOOM, response. 2. He is punctual. We asked Dave to also photograph our rehearsal dinner and he was all over! He even sent us a few "sneak" peeks the night of the dinner. 3. Dave is creative! Given our wedding was in the early evening in November, it gets dark early. He suggested a first look to get better lighting. We are definitely glad we listened! During our wedding he was essentially a gymnast, getting the best angle and had a second photographer to assist with EVERY SHOT! 4. QUICK turnaround! I hope I'm not setting an unreasonable precedent, but we had our photos from our wedding back within 12 days of our wedding! Yes, TWELVE DAYS! He took and sent over 500 photos! 5. Affordable. I got recommendations from friends for over 10 photographers and Dave was among the most affordable. Essentially, I recommend DCM photography whole-heartedly! Don't hesitate just do it. We did :-). We interviewed two photographers before meeting with Dave. The first two were nice and had a good portfolio of pictures, but nothing that blew me away. I was a little discouraged thinking I'd simply have to settle. A friend of my husband recommended that we speak with Dave as he had heard good things. We instantly hit it off with him and we were blown away by his work. Needless to say, we booked him right then and there. Dave did our engagement photos in June. He was extremely flexible on time and locations. I have been told by many of my friends that their photographers only allowed them to shoot in two places -- anything else would be an up-charge. When I proposed a Saturday session at a winery outside of town, I was worried about the response I'd get. What do you know? Dave was completely game for it! We took the most beautiful sunset photos at William Chris Winery and a small park outside Johnson City. I had all of the photos in hand a week later, and they were spectacular. Our wedding was four months later. I'm not gonna lie, we missed our friend Dave during that time. We felt like we should schedule another session with him -- perhaps of our dog. Ha! Dave has a super cute family and you can keep up them on Instagram. Now for our wedding. We were married in a church and had an outdoor reception along the lake. Dave and his second shooter were running around the entire time, but no one ever really noticed. They worked so hard to capture every moment. I had several family members and friends come up to me after the wedding to say they met Dave or enjoyed his work. When we got back from our honeymoon, our pictures were in our inbox.
