She is kind, considerate, and incredibly talented. She was able to work with my hectic schedule and respond quickly to me both via email and text; she is also a wealth of knowledge from all of the previous weddings she's worked, and very professional. Kristi also took into consideration my nuances on the wedding day (like having to stand on the right side, and not liking my profile, etc etc). We made an absolutely great decision there…read more We first met Melanie to do our engagement photos at the Blanton, those obviously turned out stunning, as she was able to get both of us to open up a little bit and get some good shots of us. Highly recommend doing an engagement session first, the chance to work with her twice was so awesome! Emails with her were always responded to in a very timely manner, and she was very helpful with any questions I had, so great to work with. She and her assistant James showed up and were ready to go on time, kept our day running smoothly through all the photos we wanted taken and they got so many shots of things that I didn't even think of! Finishing off the night with a gorgeous nighttime shot! Their personalities shone throughout the day, everyone was talking about how amazing and fun our photographers were. This was the first time that Melanie had worked with James, but you could not tell in the least, the two worked so well together and then the way they worked with the guests...I can't compliment them enough! As for the final product, it was beyond compare. Somehow she made it seem like when I scroll through the pictures of the day that I am just walking through memories of that day. It's so amazing, I truly am unable to pick my favorite pictures from the day, because they're all beautiful. I'm so glad that we hired her for our day, she made it truly great the day of and then the gift that keeps on giving, the memories she gave me are a true treasure. Hire Melanie anytime you want something important photographed, or you know just because you need pictures and want someone amazing to do it!

Most of the photography booths were hard to tell apart, and it seemed like theirs was the only one with a definite /style/. I didn't interact with "he" much, but "she" was awesome. Melanie and a helper photographed our wedding. They were friendly, relaxed, and totally flexible - there was no rigid list of shots to get, and they did some fun stuff working with the location. If you hire them, your wedding photos will look like a dream sequence in a slick modern magazine. That's probably because she's also a magazine photographer... http://www.melaniegrizzel.com/Grizzel_Portfolio.html Of the things that my husband and I paid for, the photography was a big ticket item. Before we started shopping for anything, we made a priority list (food, clothes, photo, venue, etc) and decided that even if everything went wrong, if it rained, and the cake fell over, and my dress was torn, and our friends had a brawl by the keg, it would all be okay if we had amazing photos. Because memories are strong, but photos can repaint your memories in better light. Luckily the day was perfect, but the gorgeous pictures help me remember it even more fondly :)

After looking at her work online and reading reviews, we expected great photos. We got our pictures today and they are unbelievably amazing! I could have never anticipated loving pictures this much! As cheesy as it sounds, it's like looking at a fairy-tale, except it's us, our friends and family. I can't stop looking at them! I think this quote from my mom sums up Cassie really well too. "She was everywhere and got everything, but I hardly noticed her being there". My big fear with hiring someone was an overly staged, no fun, guest herding, interruption filled day. Cassie captured the story of our day beautifully and completely without interrupting the moments of the day. She even got those family photos mom wanted.

She continued to berate the grooms father and step mother during the rehearsal. The brother of the bride told her in front of everyone "can you be nice?" Fast forward to today, I (bridesmaid) got an email from the wedding planner to all vendors (i did the brides hair) Attached is Inbal's response "this was not the easiest wedding..." I have been in the beauty and wedding industry for 20 years and have NEVER been treated or witnessed a vendor treat it's client in this manner. She has such a unique eye- able to capture the important moments, of course, but also so many little pockets of pure, candid joy, plus incredible composition on posed photos. She was able to walk us through all of the things that are vital for photos but that people who have never been married before wouldn't necessarily think of- where parents' arms should go while walking down the aisle, how to position each other's hands for ring photos, and so on. Inbal and her awesome assistant, Jerry, were able to divide and conquer at times, and it was great having him as a second shooter for different angles of our ceremony. (He also did an excellent job finding the perfect lighting and angles for shots of me getting ready while Inbal took care of photos of my bride.) On top of everything else, Inbal is unbelievably kind and fun, and she made sure to take a lot of time to get to know us before the wedding and find out what kinds of photos would best capture who we are. Oh, and she got our album back to us so quickly! We were unbelievably lucky to get her for our big day, and she was able to capture so many images that will stay with us forever.

Having been trained as a photojournalist, she captures moments as they happen, and her shots feel modern and natural. She knows so many little tricks - for example, instead of having me always hold my bouquet in front of me, she instructed me to have it handing down by my side in some shots. I look so comfortable and relaxed in those pictures, and it's something that a less experienced photographer wouldn't know to do. Nothing felt forced and we had a lot of fun with her during both the engagement shoot and the wedding. She brought a second shooter, so they could capture events happening simultaneously. She provided a standalone photobooth camera that guests could control themselves. She released a couple "teaser" photos just a couple days after the wedding, so we could start enjoying them right away. A few months later, she provided hundreds of photos on discs and worked with a company to make a beautiful flushmount album. We love looking back at our photos and we highly recommend Sasha.

We found it so easy to relax around her, which shows in the photos. She gives easy-to-follow instructions that make the photos look great without feeling overly posed or unnatural. We had great vendors for our wedding, but April was by our favorite by far! When booking with her, she shared multiple galleries with me so I could see the flow of a whole day and get a sense for her style. She was also a preferred vendor for our venue, so she was able to even help us decide on a wedding date based on past weddings she'd photographed there (and when the greenery was most lush without being too hot). She was very flexible about rescheduling our engagement session when I had a ring disaster that required repairs. We were able to do two locations for the shoot that allowed us to get a more park-like feel with our pups and some downtown vibes, too. April is organized, well collected and a source of calm on an otherwise hectic day. Really led the flow of the day (despite having a planner), and I am SO grateful we had her as our photographer. She is also very competitively priced for the level of service she provides. Besides her absolutely amazing work, another thing that stood out was that she did not have an hour limit of on her time with us on our wedding day. It was nice knowing she would be there for everything we wanted captured. We were also SO impressed with how quickly we got our photos for both engagement and wedding galleries. We received 600+ of our photos within 48 hours of our wedding and got a several hundred more within a few weeks! It was so wonderful getting to see them so soon after and made me even more grateful we went with her after hearing horror stories of other couples not getting photos back for 4+ months. I will never stop singing your praises for anyone who will listen!!!
