Mike and the team quickly identified the issue, found us a rental car and had my son back on the road in no time.

The owner was not professional in conducting business. After pointing out countless things wrong…read morewith a vehicle I was interested in I offered what I thought it was worth. He refused to conduct business with me and basically said I wasn't telling the truth about what I saw wrong with the vehicle. The only good part of the experience was the young salesman I spoke to the day prior. That salesman was respectful, helpful, and nice. The owner is definitly in denial of the quality of his inventory and needs to work on consumer relations.

A car purchase should be a transaction where two parties get what they want. I am happy to say this…read morewas my experience at Downtown. I was impressed with the vehicles they had on hand, but I knew what I wanted from their website after I found the car on Autotrader. Everyone was friendly on site, from the Clay the salesman, to the support staff and the owner. I did my homework in advance, and we came to a price that I thought was satisfactory. They are asking fair prices to begin with, in line with the market, so I don't think it's worth spending a lot of time and energy to try and squeeze blood from a stone. If you want a nice used car and a good experience buying it, these are decent and fair people to work with. And if you buy, go to the Charlottesville Downtown Mall and get a meal while they're doing the paperwork. It's about a five minute drive, and you don't have to just spend the time waiting.

The service department for this dealership is the worst I have ever had to deal with. I'm an ex…read moreautomotive employee as well as my dad and various other relatives. I have probably bought somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 new vehicles in my life. If it wasn't less than a mile from my house, I would never have dealt with them after the first experience. I have had the following experiences with them. - Quoted a price to fix my wife's vehicle - got to the dealership and it was $120 higher. After complaining, the original price was honored - there wasn't anything additionally repaired. - Quoted $600 to replace a gas door - they come in painted - after checking another dealership (30 minutes away) at $250, this dealership matched them. - Current vehicle has been out of alignment since I bought it (I know, mistake) 3 months ago. It has 6500 miles on it. I was charged for re-alignment due to it being normal wear and tear - I hope the front end isn't made out of plastic if it gets out alignment after 6500 miles. Buying a vehicle from this place was a chore also. I get an employee discount, and they acted as though it was something new. I had to pull up a competing dealership offers in order to get just the basic deal I'm qualified for due to the employee discount. This is the first review I have written on any business. If you value your money do not go to this dealership for anything - especially not service. I wish I could rate less than 1 star.

Found a great truck! However, the customer service of the sales team is lacking. I understand that…read morescheduling things during the holidays is tricky, but when a salesman leaves, don't let customers fall though the cracks. We ordered running boards, but they weren't ordered by the dealership right away. We asked for a picture of the running boards and were never sent one. The salesman who took over was less than polite and professional. Promised return calls, pictures, and delivery dates. None of it happened. Very disappointed to not get this truck, but it's not worth the hassle. Customer service should still be a priority, not just a way to "make things right."
