If I could give them a 1/2 star I would. Purchased a vehicle last February 2025. We paid in cash, We have never received the title. They put on our registration that we had a lien when we don't. Not only that they had never transferred the title to our name when we first got the vehicle and my son got pulled over by a state trooper thinking he had stollen the vehicle. I have called multiple times to get this taken care and was told there was nothing they could do. NOW, the transmission has gone out in the vehicle and we have to pay $8,000 to get that fixed. The dealership knew the transmission was bad when they sold it to us. Per the mechanic that we trust locally there are shards in the transmission that had to have been there when we purchased the vehicle. I have again called multiple times with nothing resolved. Service department is terrible. They force you to make an appointment, but apparently that appointment is only to "check in" with the service department. They then expect to be able to keep your daily driver for 2-3 days without any advance notice or understanding as to how disruptive that is. Also, if you own an electric vehicle, they only have 1 person in the service department that is able to work on them. So expect it to be several days before your vehicle is even looked at. Ford is great at selling the vehicle, but their customer service afterwards is pathetic. read more

Once they moved to their new building location the issues began. Damage by techs during recalls, returning to the dealership because recalls were not performed properly, False statements that parts were in when they weren't , and the list of POOR SERVICE AND LIES GOES ON!!! The new Service Manager even was upset because I left an HONEST BUT NEGATIVE REVIEW WITH FORD. I lost counts of the hours that I spent in the waiting room only to return days later with the same issues. In fact when I brought this concern up to the Service Manager he stated quote, "Maybe you should take your truck elsewhere for service". I had a very positive experience at Malloy Ford last week when I took in my broken car key. I was greeted in the service department with a big smile from Travis. He escorted me to the parts department where another staff member, Daiquan Harris, explained how long it would take to order my part and what I would have to do when I came back with both my car and the broken key. I highly recommend Malloy Ford. Great experience from the start. Found a truck online and Renee reached out to me and made this a smooth process. Answered all questions I had and sent me pictures of the truck. She came in on her day off so we could look at and test drive it. Eventually ended up buying it the same day. From the minute we got to the dealership we felt very welcomed and comfortable. She let us test drive it as a family. When we got back I had a couple questions and concerns so she grabbed her manager and he worked with us. Financing was easy as well. Friendly staff. Waited over a week for an appointment to put a bracket on my car. They told me it would take 20 minutes, when I got there I was told it would take two hours. They offered me the shuttle, but then told me it only runs until 5. Meaning I needed to take an Uber or come back on the shuttle before the bracket was complete. These guys are jokers. I had just bought a new pickup of another brand a couple of months ago but noticed the prices they were advertising for Ford Rangers online were super good. (Too good to be true apparently) Turns out the prices they advertise are if you qualify for every discount and incentive they are offering. So, almost no one if anyone buys a vehicle at these prices. Makes sense, right? No, not really. Anyway, I chatted with a salesman online and explained the situation to him and it probably didn't make any sense for me to even come in there. He suckered me into coming in there and after a short visit the sales manager and I agreed that I would lose too much money if I traded my two month old truck in for a new Ford Ranger. A couple of weeks later another salesman calls me and I explain the situation again and we text back and forth for a day or two. He tells me that he and his sales manager were working up a deal and told me to come in. Reluctantly, I paid another visit and guess what? The sales manager and I agreed.that I would lose too much money if I traded my two month old truck in for a new Ford Ranger! Best part was that he told me he didn't want to waste each others' time. I had to call for updates because god forbid they update you about your vehicle and what's happening. Then I call for an update and they say yea your car is ready, no call/ voicemail but claimed they had called. Asked when I dropped off the vehicle to get a check up. When I picked up the car they said service already left for the day and to go talk to service to schedule a checkup! Get to my car and it's filthy! Never again!!!! I've never had such poor service! I am in the market to buy a new car for a family member so naturally I contacted the dealer to inquire about employee pricing as I work for a Ford dealer out of state. Initially the sales manager was helpful and stated that he would honor the employee pricing but when I emailed back to clarify I can buy the car without any added accessories(such as paint protectant etc.) they ghosted me. That means to me when I ordered the vehicle and it showed up then magically some accessories would have shown up with the car. I contacted a different Ford dealer about 1.5 hours away and they have been the most transparent dealer and responsive unlike Malloy Ford. I understand that it gets busy but when somebody is trying to give your business money(especially because Ford reimburses you guys for the D Plan) then maybe you should help them out a little bit more and not just worry about the money right now only and worry about fostering superior relationships with all the customers contacting you guys. read more

I scheduled an appointment at 7:30AM to have the oil changed. I called at 11:30 AM to check on progress. I was told that, "Several people were at the door waiting" when they opened so they took those vehicles in for service. What's the point of an appointment? I asked. I was told that an appointment was just a sort of place keeper, the other people were going to wait so they got preference. If I could give this a giant ZERO I would. We purchased our Ford from this dealer before it was Malloy. Back when it was Battlefield, customer service was important. Now, they could care less. They just want your money. First, it's twice for an oil change and tire rotation than any other place in town. Secondly, they are rude and disorganized. Third, one rep looked like his shirt had been balled up on the floor before he put it on. Also, I was treated like a stupid female. Dude...I know how to change the oil in my car, I choose not to. Beware of price gouging and dishonest dealings! I ordered a new Ford Mach E online. A couple of minutes later a Malloy Ford of Charlottesville salesman called to inform me that the online orders were paused for the next few months, but that the dealership had a Mach E that was close to my online build and noted that the price was 52k. Great. He told me that the cashier was closed but that he would call me in the morning so I could leave a deposit before finalizing the purchase later in the week after I got back into town. The next morning, the salesman informed me that the manager had made a "market adjustment" but had not yet settle on a new price. Subsequently, he told me the price was now 57k, but that since we had already verbally agreed on a price, I could have it for 54.5k. This is no way to do business, IMO. Was it 1 crooked sales manager or a bait and switch?... you decide or just drive to Richmond Ford west and deal with unquestionable honesty. I sold a car to Malloy. I chose Malloy because of the gentleman that contacted me after I hit the cash offer on KBB (Shannon, you're the man... you should find a better company) was friendly, professional, and not pushy. I went in on a Thursday afternoon and spoke to the salesman Zac ( you did everything right as well thank you!) We did some negotiating after I was handed the printed purchase voucher (looks like check). I was happy with the final price and I asked him to write it on the voucher and he had me sign it. I told Zac that my wife was away on business (out of the country), and as soon as she was awake, I would contact her. If she was good with the deal, I'd be back in the morning. I returned the next morning with the signed voucher in hand. Zac was not available, so I introduced myself to the nearest salesman and gave him the voucher. [THIS IS WHERE IT GETS DIRTY] He took it and walked away. Minutes later, he returned with the message, " The sales manager says there is no way he is paying that much for the car." So I go talk to him, and he is talking to me like I'm a liar... He says to me, Zac is a salesman and has no authority to pay that much. There is no way that was agreed to, the car isn't worth that, etc. He asks, "Who authorized it." All this with a demeaning tone. I told him I'm the customer who received the message. How the hell am I to know who authorized it? I told him to get Zac on the phone and let me talk to him afterward. He spoke with Zac, and apparently, the other sales manager authorized the purchase price. So the arrogant axxhole says to me, "we are going to honor the purchase price, but I shouldn't." He then walks right up to me to explain why he shouldn't. Here is my analysis. He wanted to be the morning meeting hero by saving the dealership money at best. At worst, this was a planned bait and switch to see if I would bite on it. There were 10 other dealers that wanted to purchase the car from me, and I went with the one that treated me the best on the phone. Don't make my mistake. We also had a bad experience with trying to get transmission serviced on our expedition a year ago (rude on the phone and never calling back). We ended up going to Richmond Ford west and had a wonderful experience (3500 dollar service gladly spent to the right dealer). In closing... Malloy Ford will not get a cent from me, and I will share the experience with as many people as possible. My friend was at the dealer for the second part and witnessed the entire shady process. Shame on you, Malloy. If this is not a representation of your dealership, then you should give the rude older sales manager some training. According to some employees I talked to while waiting, this is his typical demeanor, " but he is very good at his job." Went to the Ford dealership and requested to speak to Shannon. They found out that a fuse had gone out in my car. They fixed it and gave me a new key. This would have cost me around $600.
