Have y'all been here before Choong Man Chicken Hampton?? I went today and every time i go to a different city i try a new spot. This place cooked Korean fried chicken and i had the soy chicken. Let's just say if you like wings hot or cold hours later these wings were still good. Honestly, i liked them better hours later. It was about $15 for ten wings but its was worth it. Now my friend got the soy gizzards which were hard and too chewy but that's what i expect if you don't boil the gizzards first. The shrimp tempura was okay but i wanted to go back to my wings but was too full from eating them earlier. Delicious, crispy fried chicken quickly served! I have already been to the location in Williamsburg but was craving their food today so we went to this one. I was a little disappointed they didn't have some of the other menu items at the Williamsburg location like the musubi but all was forgiven when the food arrived. We ordered shrimp tempura, the garlic soy wings, and curly fries. The tempura was crispy and delicious! The chicken was just as amazing as I remembered it. The sauce is a sweet and spicy one with lots of soy flavor. The curly fries were good but the regular fries at the other location were much better. Overall a yummy feast! read more

I lived in Seoul, Korea, for over a year, and one of the many cuisines I enjoyed while living there was their double-fried chicken. So, I was amazed when I saw a fast-food Korean chicken place nearby, Chong Man Chicken, and I really had to give it a try. The young lady behind the counter was friendly and accommodating, as she explained that the restaurant had not been there for long. They opened in February of 2020, the beginning of the Coronavirus pandemic, and by the end of March 2020, a number of businesses around them had closed while, somehow, they survived. I believe they survived because their chicken is simply delicious. Their chicken wasn't as crispy as I remembered from when I lived in Korea, however, they added a twist to their chicken by using different flavors, including soy, curry chicken, and others. I'm so glad they survived the pandemic! My Grubbing Buddies and I are finding this place to be another great spot to frequent. read more

Absolutely love this place! My mom told me about them earlier in the year and a few months ago I really had a taste for some wings. I've tried the soy, spicy, and spicy garlic! All really good! My fav is the spicy, it's definitely on the hotter side but it still has that sweet kick to it. The wings are still good the next day too! The woman who takes the orders is cool and always gives her opinion on what tastes good when I want to try something new. Perfect Korean fried chicken. Any time I want fried chicken I just go with these guys. Korean just means tasty, not some sort of strange variety of fried chicken. I've had the red hot pepper, soy, and lemon green onion. All three are great but the red hot pepper is my favorite. The lemon green onion is just plain crispy fried chicken with the toppings on the side which is nice. If you've never had this style of seasoned fried chicken and you like spicy, go for the red hot pepper. You won't be disappointed. The chicken is good quality and meaty and comes out hot. I'm not a huge fan of crispy, crispy chicken so why I would choose this place knowing they double fry, who knows? Th spicy garlic was intense. Spicy, flavorful. Really good. It was very very saucy and not soggy bc of the double fry. Original was plain, no seasoning but juicy so it was edible. Lunch special cost about 8 bucks for 5 or 6 big wings, 2 sides and a coke. Wow so I would not give this restaurant a one if it weren't for the fact that we just paid $17 for nine pieces of half wings, a container filled with thinly sliced raw onions, a cold sauce and daikin radish. It's described as "sliced onion smothered with sauce", whelp somehow I thought tasty onions smothered with a warm tasty sauce. Way over priced and the chicken tasted like KFC extra crispy. So sad I had high expectations. I ordered to go and they throw this bag at you with no plates. Wondering how they thought we were suppose to get that pretty picture up front in a small box. We had the garlic soy chicken wings... let me say, I am usually a 3 or 4 wings kind of girl. By the time I came up for air, I had eaten 6 of these! They are so crunchy, and the sauce is sweet, sticky, with just enough heat to make your mouth have a pleasant tingle. I am so glad we picked up 2 orders, because one is not enough! They package their chicken in a cardboard box ( think KFC style box) only with a u shaped vent in the top so that the steam doesn't make your order soggy during transport. Give them a chance. Wow! Their chicken wings are so good. Im a huge fan of korean style fried chicken with their authentic Korean sauce to it but this place has something similar. Its actually really good. To me, its not spicy enough but to my husband, its super spicy. We got their red hot spicy sauce and the spicy garlic sauce wings. As well as their curry popcorn shrimp. Surprised its actually amazing. Would definitely go again but the prices are pretty way up there so maybe not go there so often. I would recommend anyone to at least give this place a try. Their Korean fried chicken is good however it is too spicy for my taste which is why I rated it 3 stars. If you like spicy, you'll love CM Chicken! We ordered the soy garlic wings, soy garlic spicy wings, and the red hot pepper wings. The soy garlic flavors were good but again, even the regular soy garlic wings had a kick to them! I didn't even try the red hot pepper ones because my boyfriend said the spiciness lingers lol. Probably the best Korean fried chicken (kfc) in the area. They are a chain that has been quite popular on the eastern coast of the United States. Our household favorite is the soy garlic chicken with spring onion and each order of chicken is supposed to come with some radishes. While this establishment fits a much needed want for KFC, I do have to admit it isn't as great as it could be. Often times the chicken is soaked in sauce taking away from the crunchy. They're also very tight fisted in how much radish and spring onion. The ratio is extremely disproportionate and often times so upsetting. However, today I did my first online order here and the chicken was good but my chosen side of fries; 1. Were cold and 2. Only filled the left side spot of the tray, literally not even 10 fries and my meal was almost $20 to include the tip which was not deserving at all.
