When you walk in you just sit yourself for dine in. I went around lunch time (1200). Dining area is a bit small but there was good seating options when during my visit. I ordered the tenders lunch special: 5 tenders (spicy garlic) that come with with coleslaw and choice of rice or fries. Staff who took order was very polite. Food came out fast. I would say in about 10 minutes. The spicy garlic sauce has a little heat to it but not too much to where you couldn't eat it. Not as sweet which is what I was expecting, but still good. Mom and I couldn't figure out what we wanted to eat today, but we were in Hampton and randomly decided to try this place out. It was definitely the best decision we could have made. Got an order of the Red Hot Pepper Chicken and two orders of curly fries. IT WAS SO GOOD. The flavor was amazing and the chicken was nice and crispy. It was also pretty spicy, just how we like it! I didn't expect that, so it was nice to finally order something spicy and actually have it live up to our expectations. Even my Korean mother was pleasantly surprised. Lmao. Anyway, at first we weren't sure it would be enough for the both of us because we were STARVING. But the chicken comes with 10 nice sized pieces and the two sides of curly fries made it just enough. I believe our total came out to about $25, which I think is very reasonable. And because of COVID, we ordered takeout. Food was ready within about 20 minutes which was amazing. I don't know the names of those who were working today (we went in around 2 PM), but they were very friendly! Overall, I really can't believe I've never been to this place before - especially as a lover of Korean food and also fried chicken. Lol. I'll definitely keep coming back until I've tried everything on the menu - and even after that. I have lived in Hampton all my life and I seriously only experienced the best chicken wings at Bowmen's Soul in the Wall.. but the wings at CM Chicken blew my mind!!!! They are good AF!!! Perfectly cooked and crispy and I got the Soy Ginger sauce .. which is a little spicy and sweet..absolutely delicious and taste even better cold .. even the fries were good cold!! I will definitely be back here numerous times. And for those complaining about the price.. we are in the middle of a pandemic and there is a shortage in wings so of course CM Chicken has to charge for all this deliciousness!! Lol! This place had some really good wings. They were super crispy and much better tasting than the soggy wings you might get other places. The only caveat is that you better like spice or you'll hate this place. I would also stay away from the pickled radishes. I know it's a pallet cleanser but it is just a big no. This place just opened a few weeks ago and I'm glad I got to try it. It's pretty good! It's Korean fried chicken wings, but their menu is more unique than BonChon, chick-n-fish, and Domoishi. They have a lot more variety. My favorite thing was the Soy Tikkudak wings which is like regular Korean Fried chicken wings except after their fried, they're baked in a charcoal grill to create a smoky flavor, so they take a little longer to make but ate worth it. The manager said that the Snow chicken wings is also very popular so we got that as well. It's covered with onions in a creamy white sauce that reminds me of a Japanese Yum Yum sauce that you would get at a hibachi restaurant. Yummy. I liked putting the onions and sauce over my white rice as well. It came with free pickled radishes which were absolutely delicious. Since it was slow we were given other things to try for free like their coleslaw, and also some calamari which was so tender and not tough or rubbery at all. Almost melted in your mouth. I of course had to add white rice to go with my wings, we also had fries, & I tried some of their "spicy" chicken sauce and it was pretty hot! Hotter than I was expecting. However I didn't try the red hot pepper gochujang sauce that you can also get their wings in & I think I would like that better. They also have a lunch special for only $7.99 from 11 AM - 3 PM for five wings or tenders, french fries or rice, coleslaw, and a soda. Pretty good deal.
