Clyde's simply does a GREAT job on whatever you bring them! I started using them two years ago, and have never once had something come back with "missed spots" or fabric damage. When buttons need to be replaced, they do it for free (and normally before you even notice). When alterations are necessary, they charge a fair price, despite what one of the other "disgruntled and naive" reviewers stated. We had our daughter's wedding dress cleaned and preserved by them, and they took the time to do it right, for a price that was significantly less than other places we checked. On top of the great service, you're treated like a friend instead of a client. That's the kind of place that will get my business every time! I came here with a cardigan that got ruined because of another shirt I wore under it and the guy who worked on it was able to get all the color off of it ! Looked amazing and brand new after! So happy I came here to get this fixed and the workers were really friendly also! It took 5 days before I could go pick it up but I wasn't in a rush l. I had a garment that needed to be dry cleaned for a friends wedding the next day and they were able to get it done by early morning. The first time I went to Clyde's with several shirts they came out great. The second time I brought more garments and requested all the shirts have the collar forms put in so they would not be flat and mashed. They only did this on 1 shirt. Shirts were not properly pressed - there were a lot of wrinkles. I also brought a suit to be cleaned. After wearing the suit I noticed a strong odor coming from it - suit was not wearable in this state. Prices seemed very high. read more

I used Cylde's Cleaners for the first time in Late October 2016 to preserve my wedding dress. It was a large ballgown dress covered in delicate lace that was extremely dirty. I am new to the area, and don't usually have many items in my closet that need dry cleaning, however, my husband got a call last minute for an interview and we needed his sport coat cleaned...pronto! I called on Saturday afternoon and I needed it for Monday! The gentleman I spoke with was so nice and accommodating and rushed our request and got it done for us THAT DAY! THEN! When I went to pick it up, they said it was on the house, and wished us luck on the interview! Truly the sweetest thing, made our day!! NOT TO MENTION, that the stale smell from his coat was gone, it was pressed, and they gave us some extra buttons! I whole heartily recommend this cleaners to anyone who is looking for great customer service, their clothes to be treated with care, and just an all around wonderful experience. I left clydes for a while and came back, but have left now for good. I live in Denville and try to always patronize the locally owned small business and the owner is nice. However, they have overcharged me a number of times for doing any work such as fixing the lining on a leather jacket and some other special cleaning work. I really wanted to like them and continue to use them, but could not get over the gouging. read more

This cleaners was recommended to us to clean UGG boots. we dropped them off on 9-16-11. when I went to pick them up on 10-01-11 the soles were concaved and the boots did not lay flat to the floor. They were also shrunk. They proceded to send them back to their "guy" who does the work and they would put on new soles. When I went to pick them up on 10-22-11, I saw that they put on new soles all right, the name on the bottom was "vibrance" not UGG. They put on completely different soles. The boots are no longer UGG boots! So of course we left them with him yet again. When I called John later in the day to speak to him regarding how disappointed I was that I gave him an UGG boot and still have not received the product that I gave him, and how long it has taken, he continuously talked over me where I couldn't get a word in at all. He was condescending and irritated about having to talk to to me about it. He then told me to pick up the boots and take him to small claims court. I guess this is how he likes to run his business, but when this is all cleared up I will never use him again, and I will tell people to stay away. I even called the shoe store who recommended him to me to let them know they might want to think twice about recommending someone who treats their customers the way I have been treated. When reading the previous review I had to laugh when it says John is friendly funny and committed to making his clients happy. That is so not true from the experience I had dealing with him!
