Hello everyone, I will keep my name private. I want to share with you about a situation that took place on April 23, 2014. I had been searching for a Mossberg Maverick 88 home defense firearm for weeks. I call everywhere for this item, I came up empty handed. I called a surplus store and they Referred me to Clyde's Armoury. I gave them a call and ask if they had what I had been looking for, low and behold, they did. So I ask the guy could they hold the gun for me I will be by and pick it up. They close at 6, so I said I will be by on the 24th. Where I live is about one hour and 30mins to Athens. Yes, they are located off of Atlanta Hwy. I got off work drove down to pick up my firearm when I got there I walked in only 1 out of 10 people greeted me. Did I mention I am a African American male.I told the gentleman my reason for being there, he got the help I needed. One more thing, only white people work in this place. This young man came over starting helping, in the process this white guy came in the young man stop in the middle of helping me and starting helping the white guy. My first thought was ( You got to be kidding me). With courtesy I smiled. So he started back helping me. Asking for my information, I gave it to him. My address was not correct on a few things so he suggested that I go down to another store to get some fishing license. He said come right back, I did say they close at 6. I went down got what I need hurry back thinking they was going to allow me to finish the the sale. I was so wrong. I went up to the Door looked in the same guy that told me to return looked at me turned his head as if I wasn't there at all. So I knocked on the door the other 2 guy that knew about my returning to the store looked at me and walked away. Listen' racism is very much alive in 2014, I experienced it first hand at Clyde's Armoury. If you are a business owner make sure Customer Service is the Foundation in which you do business. To my African American, please do business else where not at Clyde's Armoury. Do not even go in to look, you see it keep driving. To the people that works at Clyde's Armoury, except the gentleman that greeted me, going forward if y'all tell a customer, neighbor, family or friends that you're going to do something, be a man and keep your word. Clyde Armory facilitated an exceptional gun buying experience. The service and courtesy was extraordinary. The staff was very friendly and highly knowledgable. Specifically, Ruben helped me find the rifle I was looking for, he gave me all the room I needed in inspecting the firearms and making my decision. There was a level of comfort and friendliness in handling and purchasing the firearm that I have not seen elsewhere. Joe Biden shops at Clyde Armory. 4th best gun store on Atlanta Hwy. Right behind Franklins, Walmart, and Academy Sports. They only sell baby guns and gay pride flags. They hate the 2nd amendment and it is their fault that the Athens area has gone soft. Thank God for Franklin's and may he have no mercy on Clyde Armory! They make you sit down to pee. They tried to make me kiss a statue of a foreign idol. They tried to make me speak with a British accent. Absolutely sickening. If you need short range .22 ammo Clyde has it next to the tampons. This is my favorite gun shop. I live 40 minutes away and I make the drive. I bought my 9mm and ar15. I took my dad and he bought an ar15. I've bought plenty of accessories there and haven't been let down. You get greeted at the door and helped throughout your entire shopping experience. The guys also dont act like snoby dicks like so many other gun shops. The prices aren't high, but it's not the cheapest. That being said the customer service makes up for the few extra dollars extra. They have a customer for life if they keep up the great work. read more

I ordered a gun yesterday 7/22/13 and received it in Chattanooga, TN the next day at lunch time 7/23/13. I was waiting for them to send me a tracking number and then my ffl dealer here called me to tell me it had arrived. AMAZING...The gun was in new, perfect condition when I received it.
