The food came out fairly quickly and the portions were generous. The food was mediocre- not bad but nothing really memorable. The service let a lot to be desired. They didn't look very busy but it took a while for our server to check in with us and she wasn't very attentive during our meal. My husband asked for a side of beer cheese with his meal which never came. He also didn't like the original sauce he had requested so asked for a side of barbecue and it took a really long time to get it. The wings were juicy... super juicy. The apps were also very yummy! Best Mushrooms I've eaten. We also had a couple drinks and they were also very good. You could tell there was alcohol in them. Because the, seemly depressed, staff was so detached, I didn't bother to even offer a complaint. Lastly, I concluded I would simply call it a loss (can't win them all) and move on with my day. Over the last few months, Cluckers has become a regular lunch spot for us. Today's lunch was definitely not as good as previous visits. My wife tried the fish sandwich with tots. The sandwich was very good and Clucker's tots are her favorites. Both me and my grandson ordered fried chicken sandwiches. Both of our chicken sandwiches were extremely tough. So bad that we couldn't even cut my grandson's sandwich in half. When we tried to cut it for him, it totally destroyed his sandwich, and we still didn't get all the way through it. I started eating my sandwich, when I tried to take a bite, I couldn't get all the way through it. I had to bite and tear it apart. Seriously, these were the toughest pieces of chicken I've ever encountered. I mentioned it to our server, and she could see the pieces of torn chicken in our plates. We had parts of each inedible sandwich piled on our plates. The servers only reply was: " I hate to hear that, I'll mention it to the manager". I even mentioned to the server, she knew we were regulars and have never complained about anything, but these sandwiches were beyond unacceptable. We were not offered any discount or any consideration at all. We regularly spend $35 to $40 plus tip on each visit. Today's check was over $50. We waited for more than 40 minutes for our food and when we got it, it was just barely average (and that's being nice). 2 other tables got their food before we did, we had to finally ask the waitress where our food was and she said about 5 more minutes. 2 minutes later we get our food and the hot stuff was cold and the cold stuff was warm. My ranch had a yellow skin on the top of it. All this said to me that our food was sitting under a heat lamp for way too long or just out on the counter. Gross. My wings had sauce just hastily thrown on top of it instead of covering the wings. They were barely warm. Considering my recent visit to Buffalo Wild Wings was a disaster this place was a much welcomed relief! Prompt service, food ready in 10 minutes, the waitress was very attentive the food portions were terrific and at a great value! The only downside to this location is the size. It's a bit small and the only tables open were the 4 right by the front door and every time it open there was a draft from the below freezing air outside. We kept our jackets on. We will definitely go back, hopefully get a table toward the back:) read more
