I heard that this place is usually for the Latino community (?). Hey, we were informed by an…read moreemployee of the place. I was here with a friend since I won tickets to meet Brody Jenner. He and William Lifestyle was DJ-ing here so I thought it would be an interesting night since this is out of my norm. The DJ that was there before the main guys arrived was trying to get a feel of the audience, and so he played all sorts of music. The main thing that got people dancing was an assortment of Latino songs. The mix varied throughout. There was also some edm, trance, etc. music playing, and I think there was some pop mixed in there at some point during the night. My friend and I were just chilling smoking hookah and sipping on various drinks waiting to meet Brody Jenner. At 1 AM, we decided to bail. The place wasn't even filled when we left. I mean. It's Duluth... Since we grabbed a bite to eat beforehand, we just kept our cars parked in the complex and walked over to the lounge. Valet of course was available, but I really don't see the point since this area is at the end of a complex with a small parking lot.

Besides my friend and I there was one other table of diners, so it was virtually empty. I got a chicken fajita quesadilla which is give a C. My friend got the pick three combo which she seemed to enjoy. Anyway, food is just ok and they really haven't taken advantage of having this as a restaurant as well even though they have a pretty full menu. They should advertise that more. But for now it really is just a club that might be worth checking out as an alternative to heading into the city.

One of my bragging points on this city is that if you want to hang out in part of this city and…read morehave a pretty good time, you absolutely can. And so with great expectations, for the first time, I decided to hit up Club Da Vinci's during a recent visit by my cousin. About 4 deep we ventured off into this space that is literally right above Mellow Mushroom in an ackward complex off of Windy Hill Road. THe music was blasting, and on a rainy night, we walked rapidly up the steps leading into the club. Security was a tad bit tight, but for a relatively new hot spot, somethings you gotta be cool with. He actually made my cousin leave her solution at the front, not sure of why, but I am guessing maybe ppl are using those to put stuff in ppls drinks....thats the only explanation that I could create for that one. At any rate, it was 11:56 and the door guy tried to charge us $20 off top. One of my cousin's friends quickly pointed out, "Sir, it's supposed to be free before 12"-- Club Guy: "Where did you see that at" Friend: "on your website" Club Guy: "Let me go check" He pulls up the site only to see that she is absolutely right. CLub Guy "Damn, they were supposed to take that down, go ahead..." I sure was glad that she raised that point, because while this club had about a 100 ppl in the building, it was so damn massive that it looked extremely empty. The best way to tell if a party is dead? If you are cold in the damn party. And I was cooooollldddd as a mf! At any rate, we chilled here for a minute. I didnt even drink anything, b/c I knew we would be heading our azzes right back out the door. The space is actually really, really beautiful. Very sheek, very cool, very sexy, and deceptively big. Only thing missing is the ppl....

When we went in there to decorate for my friend's party in VIP and HAPPY hour was in FULL THROTTLE AND THERE WAS A DOPE LIVE BAND GOING HARD AS A MUTHA...I had such high expectations... When the owner spoke to us outside and he looked good enough to eat...well, that has nothing to do with nothing. He was just fine! lmao! This place has soooooooooooooooo much potential. But, it is still brand new so I will give them a pass. It's so big and spacious. The dance floor is nice and roomy. There's DJ spinning outside on the balcony as well for a change of pace, if you aren't feeling the inside. This female bartender did me so dirty with THIS WAACCCCCCCCCCKKKK RED BULL AND VODKA SHE MADE. So, I went over to this LONG HAIRED BLONDE WHITE GUY...boy, did he redeem that selfish heffer. I went to him all night....after my 4th grey goose and pineapple, I'm sure I was trying to take him home and keep in all to myself but he must've said no. We were up in VIP in the far back corner of the club. It has it's own bar and huge open space to dance, if you down want to go on the floor. I'd rather HAVE VIP and mingle with everyone else. (otherwise, I get bored) Verdict: Da'Vinci's needs a good promoter to bring this relatively new club to life. It has everything a moderately upscale club needs except for a good crowd. I WILL CHECK IT OUT AGAIN NEXT TIME TO SEE WHAT'S GOOD.

Smoking only on the patio. We got in free around 7pm on a Friday, there were a few tables available. $5 after 8pm. Lousy food and they nickel and dime you to death! My friend liked her Shrimp Fried Rice ($18). 6 wings with fries ($14), $2 extra for all flats. House Fried Rice ($18) wasn't good. Tasty chicken & hard rice with no flavor even with 1 packet of soy sauce and 1 packet of yum yum. Extra soy sauce packet? $1.50! Tito's Lemon Drop ($12). $65 until a 20% gratuity & $2 credit card fee were added. Total - $85 and we had to hunt down the unfriendly server. The deejay was equally unimpressive. Every song had a long intro and he played the extended version. He was all over the place. "You Dropped a Bomb on Me" followed by "Gangsta Party" and "Mutt." Can we at least stay in the same decade?! Highlights - diversity and pure unadulterated joy! Gay, mostly straight, all sizes, mid-20's to over 50, bridesmaids, gym shoes and after five. People did not care what they wore or if they could dance. They were there for a good time and a good time was had! There's no pressure. It's a great place to come as you are & learn the latest line dance. King George was in heavy rotation. By 10pm the dance floor was packed! I can't recommend the food but I like Sugar Bush and will return!

We entered with a $15 cover (cash accepted) just in time for class to start. The teacher made the class fun and taught the basics with ease. I liked how he gave everyone some extra moves to practice out on the floor in both salsa and bachata. The dance space was kind of small compared to what I've seen but people moved on and off the floor so much that it didn't get crowded. I also enjoyed how they had plenty of seating. I'm not sure what's up with ATL and charging crazy prices for bottled water... or maybe Nashville spoils us. Anywho, bottled water is $3. Per necessity, the DJ was a vibe I enjoyed how he played some classics, some new school and old school. My only wish was that he would mix up the genres instead of playing 4 salsa then 4 bachata, the 4 merengue... so on and so forth. Lastly to top it all off, there was a local taco shop selling tacos outside. After 4 hours of dancing they delivered! All in all, I will definitely don on my salsa shoes and visit Sanctuary Nightclub again!
