They help everyone as they walk up and down to make sure you're in the correct positions and check-in to make sure you're still alive! They make it fun! There are mostly women that attend but a few men as well, from time to time. There are women of all ages and sizes! It's all at your own personal pace and it's not a race! The tv monitors tell you what to do next and for how long, and toward the end, there is a count down on the screen. And yes, I'm always watching that count down to get it over with! I feel as though it's now a community of supportive women! They all chat and have made connections even outside of SP! It's really nice to see! Dallyn and Pam are my usual instructors based on my schedule and they're amazing! I have neuropathy and fused bones in my feet that limit me to some exercises and they already know what exercise to do in its place for my safety and benefit of the workout! Even when the class is at max capacity, they're there to help guide and motivate! I love the times of the classes too, as I feel they're thoughtful for those that want to workout before work, at lunch break, after work or even after the kids have eaten and gone to bed! Sometimes I'm the only one in a 6:15PM class and sometimes it's full. You just never know! Either way, it's motivating and a QUICK 45min non-stop workout on the reformers. There is an app where you can purchase class passes and book classes or easily cancel 24hrs in advance to not lose the class pass. The app is nice and easy and has never glitched! I pay about $240 for a 10 class pass and you do have to use them within 3-months. My goal is mainly to go once a week, but I do travel a lot and have missed a month between classes but this has been good for me to get out of my little apartment and do something for myself! And that makes me smile! If you're thinking about it or think you can't do it, trust me, YOU CAN! If I can, so can you!

I…read moreof course "Googled" for places that did the assessment and Body Basics popped up as one of the few in the Boise area that did the assessments. I made contact with the owner James Kling and visited the gym. (Right across from Payette Brewing on River Street.) Yep. I got the assessment done. Really a fine way to learn more about your overall fitness. James and the other trainers are very welcoming and quite knowledgeable. They have an extensive selection of equipment for any fitness level and readily created a routine that is working well for me. I love that the Body Basics is meticulously clean and well organized. In addition, the staff always makes a point to introduce themselves and make you feel welcome. Also, they introduce you to other members and it works to create a very positive vibe. One thing you will notice is that they will begin and end on time--great for busy people. Just call and set up an appointment to visit. Immediately you will notice they are very helpful and client-centered. NO sales or enrollment pressure or games. When you are ready just give them a call and visit. You will be glad you did.

First off, know that if you park in the parking garage, come straight out the garage and go towards the office building across from the hotel! On my own accord, I circled the entire building before realizing where the door was! Upon entering PIVOT, I went straight to the cycling room and was able to be assisted by Keith since I had issues getting myself signed up online. Tip: be sure you know which location you are signing up for! As for class, I was able to catch a strength class. Stages indoor bikes are used, which was a plus for me. The workout is based off the training regimen for Olympic cyclist Kristin Armstrong. Although I am used to an indoor cycling class that has choreography and varies between hills and flat roads, I thoroughly enjoyed Keith's class!

In fact, my tour of the facility was with Kristin herself, a great intro to the gym. The facility is state of the art. 3 group rooms for classes, spinning & yoga and additionally a larger weight/cardio area. Everything was clean, well laid out with adequate space. Masking requirements in and out of the facility, with easy to maintain physical distance. Free WiFi, 24-7 access with a key fab to the building. The only deterrent, parking. There's a garage with the 1st hour free ($3/hour after) and street parking on 13th. But it's such a great gym I'm going to figure out the parking situation. Another location near Harris Ranch off of Parkcenter is slated to open this winter sometime. Definitely top notch gym. All amenities, great staff, and quality programming.

I have taken classes at many other studios in the area (Radiant Hot Yoga, RA Yoga, etc.), and this was one of my favorite classes I have ever taken! The studio is beautiful and so clean. Beautiful big windows overlook PCH and the ocean skies. (It's right above Summer House for those of you trying to find it!) the studio is brand new and you can tell that Christina poured her heart and soul into the space. One of my favorite parts about class was that Christina played good music!! She played popular slower songs rather than typical weird yoga music... you know what I'm talking about! The class was challenging but fun and relaxing at the same time. All in all, I had an awesome experience here and I will definitely be back!

Christina is an excellent yoga instructor who is very passionate behind each yoga practice she teaches. What I love about her is how she elaborately guides her students by walking you through each movement. This allows you to quickly comprehend and follow the flow with ease. Whether you're a beginner in yoga, intermediate or above, Christina will guide you to modify your poses to best fit your body's needs. The studio is located above Summer House and parking is pretty easy to find. I usually just park in the neighborhood by the studio. There's also a juice bar located near the studio which is another nice perk if you're looking for a great cleanse after the morning yoga class.
