I live in NYC but every time I visit Miami it's pretty much for Synergy. From the first sound bath meditation I've ever done to all the progress I've been able to make in my yoga practice, I owe it all to this fabulous studio and the wonderful instructors that work here. This is truly a place of peace, healing, and non-judgmental practice. They offer everything from weekly sound baths to yoga of all levels to reiki and massages to monthly full moon circles held at the beach. Thank you Synergy for all the continuous love and support you pour into your students. Special shout-out to Kathy, a truly incredible sound healer and instructor!! ‍

This was booked through ClassPass. I booked a Thai massage. Once I arrived, I was told a message…read morewas sent asking me to dress in shorts or exercise suitable clothing . I didn't not see the message. Since I was traveling, I didn't have a chance to change clothing because my hotel room wasn't available. After entering, I was asked to remove my shoes. I had on a long maxi dress, so I came out in my bra and underwear. I could tell it wasn't ideal and she was not pleased, but that was the best I could do. The session took place on the floor. It involved stretching. I suffer from calcification in my shoulders, and one shoulder was particularly painful, so that made things awkward too. I was advised to take care of my weight and health. My attire definitely made it more difficult to do some of the stretches. She tried to cover my private area in order to do the stretches, but that wasn't enough. Overall, it felt awkward. I was very much self conscious and felt inadequate.

The front desk folks are super friendly, and the class schedule is terrific--something for everyone. I've tried an array of classes: Power Yoga, Slow Flow Restorative, Slow Flow, and Yoga Basics. Every teacher is wonderful and each has their own style, so everyone should find something they like. A special shout out to Meka who teaches the Yoga Basics. I convinced a friend who had never taken a yoga class before to try it. Meka is so warm and helpful, giving lots of modifications for those who need it while also providing a good workout for more experienced yogis. Meka is great at helping you really master a pose with small adjustments and suggestions. Both my friend and I really enjoyed her class, and I'm sorry I don't live here to take it every week. In short, Greenmonkey has something for everyone. A tough workout for those who want it, a gentler stretch for those who need it, and great instruction for everyone.

We started chanting mantras, I loved that they provided a sheet of paper with written mantras and explanation to follow along. She was also gentle adjusting moves when needed. The studio has great vibes and nice lighting, there is a corner with prompts and space for shoes and bags. The only reason I'm not giving a 5 star is because the floor was a little dirty. I took the 10am class which I believe is the first class of the day, and it didn't look like they took the time to sweep. Not sure if this was a one time thing so I hope they do clean in between classes. The class was great so I will be going back to try more of their classes when I'm in the area.

If you haven't experienced her yet, you are missing out on a life changing transformation. I have been to 2 sessions with her and I was BLOWN away. When I met her, I was experiencing shame with my body and around sex with my husband, I had lots of guilt around having both kids via c-section, and I was having trouble breastfeeding my son - he was rejecting my breast and I was very upset about it. I also had pain in my neck and shoulders and blockages in my business. After seeing Michelle in just 2 sessions - she helped release the trauma I had in my c-section scar tissue, and unblocked my 2nd chakra. Some of the benefits I saw almost instantly were: More creativity in my business, fast manifestation of opportunities, release of the pain in my neck and shoulders, more passion and sensuality in my being, more confidence in my feminine and release of emotional pain I was holding in my body that I didn't realize needed to be processed. I saw a big change in my relationship with my body and having sex with my husband. My son reconnected to my breast the very next day after our first session. I'm also busier than I've ever been in my business. Aside from the incredible benefits I listed above- the experience itself is MAGICAL. She is authentic and a breath of fresh air. She gives her all to you during her time with you, and it takes you to another place. I also love that she's a physical therapist and energy healer, blending all with her shamanic and sound healing all into one. I have done Pilates, and barre for some time but never in a heated room. Not only was the playlist great but the guidance and correction from the instructor was well appreciated. Things to note- there's one bathroom and one shower and they are in the same room. Rental of a mat and a towel are available for $6. The staff at the front was very helpful and clear as it was my first time there. I chose a space in the back but I then realized I was next to the speaker so I probably will choose a space in the front. As starting time got closer people rushed in to get a space in the front to take their videos and photos before class started.
