I've been a member for several years now and have had an amazing experience! They are incredibly customer centric - very flexible and my interactions with team members are always pleasant (Bethany really runs the show!). They offer a variety of class types and levels allowing members to customize their own workout plan. A survey is sent out on an annual (maybe biannual?) basis and it is clear they take action on responses to continue to improve your experience. It goes a long way knowing how much they care about the Club Pilates community! Furthermore their instructors are truly world-class. While I was on a cross country road-trip I took classes in other states - their classes could not compare to those I take in North Center. I am always challenged while also providing modifications so I can adjust my session to what is comfortable and needed for my body. This studio is amazing. Teachers have been great, accommodating, willing to explain, and cognizant to specific personal issues. This was my first ever pilates experience. I was a bit skeptical at first, I think I had "preconcieved notions" toward pilates as a judgy male. For those who have not tried or aren't sure, it was really helpful for me. I started while recovering from an ACL tear and surgery, and it REALLY was great for core, hamstrings, and you can alter techniques to focus on what you need. I kept going as it was a fun way to continue to work on core and some other strengthening. This studio is super responsive and really a pleasure, and i felt welcomed at all times. read more

I absolutely love North Center Club Pilates. It has not only strengthened my core, it has also built up my self esteem. But it couldn't have happened without the amazing help from the incredible staff. First off Bethany, there aren't enough words to describe how helpful, kind, patient and knowledgeable she was and is at what pever I needed. She is compassionate, and unlike a lot of clubs made me feel like I mattered. I felt intimated by Restorative Pilates, but knew I needed a challenge. And the instructors are amazing. They will teach you so many different things, that at 1st you think, I'll never get this, but they know at first it's confusing and assure you, that you will get it. And they are right. They are very educated in Pilates and will correct you if you need to do it a different way, so you don't injure yourself and also get the best workout possible. But they don't push or embarrass you. They are all great, but I have my favs: Katie W, Rebecca B and Olksandra. I'm am so grateful for Club Pilates because it taught me that physical health is a form of self love. I was hesitant to take pilates because of the multiple of injuries/surgeries I've had due to a bad horseback riding accident. But the team at Club Pilates uses a very consultative approach with ALL of their members. The instructor for each class ask about injuries or limitations anyone may have in the class before the classes start. The instructors really listen and adjust the workouts around any physical limitations of each individual. Most importantly they checked on me throughout the session and after to gage my comfort level. It's obvious that all of the instructors are knowledgeable about the physical body. I have been going regularly to the North Center Pilate's studio for over 11 months now. I go back almost daily because of their instructors, staff, and facility. There are numerous studios in Chicago, and I have found this one to be the friendliest, cleanest, and most knowledgeable. I've seen huge results in my body because of the quality of their instructors and the creativity of the classes- they are never the same twice. I am able talk with the instructors about modifications as well as ideas for classes. Most importantly, the GM and owner are excellent in communication and feedback. Club Pilates is one of the few activities I feel comfortable doing in this COVID world. I have been a member since the studio first opened. After the COVID shut-down, I was hesitant to attend class. My husband and I have kept our bubble very small. However, the studio shared a video of what the experience would be like and all the precautions they are taking. I have been back for weeks now, and feel more comfortable at Club Pilates than I do the grocery store. They have maintained the highest levels of cleanliness and social distancing. I have done Pilates on and off for years and have loved it! Small, intimate studios were where I would go to take classes but they all felt to stuffy. I continued attending because I liked the results but wished there was a better environment. Searching for a new place I came upon Club Pilates. Upon taking my first class I knew I found what I was looking for. The instructors were great (love Rebecca!) and understanding when I told them my limitations and gave me modifications. I can't say enough good things about this Club Pilates. The staff and front desk are so nice, and the instructors and really patient and knowledgeable. I've recently just started getting my health back on track after having two kids and letting life get the best of me and my health! I never feel looked down on or judged here. Like I said the instructors are very patient and really want the best for each member that comes in here. I do want to give a special shout out to the GM Bethany. I had an issue with buying credits and scheduling through the app/website while I was trying to schedule a class late last night. I sent an email late at night and immediately the next morning Bethany called me and very quickly and efficiently resolved the issue for me! She really did go above and beyond to help me. i've loved fitness my whole life! you can frequently catch me in spin class, doing interval training, lifting weights, etc., but up until this spring, I had NEVER tried pilates. why? no reason, really! maybe I was one of those people who thought "how much of an impact can this have on my body when it doesn't involve loads of cardio? when it doesn't involve huge, heavy weights?" ummmm....the answer is - pilates can have a HUGE impact on your body! i've added 2-3 pilates classes per week into my usual workout lineup, and not only do i feel SO much more flexibility and strength in my core - but i'm performing better in all my other workouts too!!! and that's after only a few months of these classes!!!! the instructors at CP North Center are fantastic - and with each one, you get a totally different experience. here is the part where I would typically list my favorite instructors...but i honestly enjoy ALL of them! if you're looking to walk out of the studio with every muscle on your body shaking - definitely try one of David's classes! you'll love me and hate me for the recommendation. :) and! and and and! the front desk crew is SO wonderful! sometimes it feels like my own personal "Cheers" - "where everybody knows your name!" :P these little things are a huge part of what make CP stand out from the other fitness studios. walking in the door and being greeted by name = a really warm way to start a pilates class. :) long story short - pilates is a fantastic workout for all fitness levels. whether this is your exclusive workout format or you're adding this to an already intense workout routine, you will get something out of these classes! get your booty over to CP North Center!!!! read more

Great intimate Pilates studio. This studio opened at the end of my block, so I decided to give Pilates a try. I quickly fell in love and have been going consistently since they opened in spring, and I have noticed a huge difference in my body. The studio has all the Pilates equipment, spring board, mat, chair, reformer, TRX and cadillac. Club Pilates offer a wide array of classes, that are adaptable to student's abilities and limitations. This studio has several different teachers with different approaches and personalities that come through in their classes. The front desk staff is very friendly, helpful, and always willing to help with anything needed. The studio is clean, comfortable, well maintained with easy street parking. read more

Being 4 months pregnant and not being able to run or do barre, I wanted to find something that would encourage strength training and stretching while not being incredibly painful. Pilates came up numerous times for a recommendation and I couldn't be happier with my choice to join at Club Pilates north center. From the beginning, they have been fantastic about working with me with zero Pilates experience and teaching me modifications throughout my pregnancy as things get harder to do so that I can still feel like I'm at least doing something. I've experienced classes with all the various teachers and have nothing but great things to say about each. They all have their own styles which I prefer bc it keeps things interesting and it keeps my body learning. I plan to take some time off once the baby arrives, and they are more than accommodating to put my membership on hold until I'm ready to come back. I look forward to after baby arrives when I can do both Pilates and cardio to see the results. Lastly, and unexpectedly, I have met some really great women in the classes. No one comes to the class with a competitive nature and I have sparked up a few new friendships from this studio. I hate working out- I loathe it. Truly, I have never found an exercise that doesn't feel like absolute torture, and I've tried everything (running, jogging, yoga, barre, kickboxing, a straight-up gym membership, you name it). While recovering from a kickboxing injury (like I said, I hate working out), a physical therapist mentioned that Pilates would be a good low-impact workout for me to try as I continue to heal. Fast-forward a few weeks and here I am, completely obsessed with Club Pilates. I showed up to the first class expecting to hate it like everything else I've tried, but the workout was unlike anything I've ever done: It was fun (never thought I'd say that); I could actually do everything that was asked of me; I never felt like I was going to die; and at the end of class I didn't look or feel like I'd been hit by a truck. Instead, I felt energized in that floaty way you feel after an amazing massage, and every muscle in my body felt buzzy and stretched and strong.
