The studio is fully equipped with all of the standard and latest pilates implements and Rhonda is always pursuing continuing education. I would recommend this as a great place to anyone just beginning their pilates practice or to expand their learning and strength. Rhonda and Colette helped me reach a new level of fitness through private lessons I was unable to attain on my own. The private apparatus Instruction is what allowed me refine my knowledge and movement after taking only mat classes for years. Pilates in general helped me regain my core strength after two pregnancies, but the apparatus helps you find the correct form and support to reach the next level. Mara was named by Good Times Magazine as one of the top yoga teachers in Santa Cruz, for good reason! Everyone was expected to lay their mats directly on top of other people's sweat, and the weights were still wet and sticky. For a studio at this price point, I would expect much better sanitation practices. Clean equipment and floors aren't just about appearances, they're important for helping prevent the spread of germs and ensuring members feel comfortable. I hope the studio makes cleanliness a higher priority moving forward because otherwise it's a fantastic place to work out.
