Our dogs love coming to Club K9 Tigard! They get so excited as we turn into the parking lot. We have been coming since 2018 with our 4 dogs. We have large, medium and small dogs but all are well taken care of with one who is old with medication needs. We only trust them with boarding too. They come home tired and happy. I wouldn't trust any other doggie daycare/boarding. It's worth the drive. read more

I've had pretty good experiences with them! I found them on Instagram which is amazing because they update on how the dogs are doing throughout the day! And I've been following the page for some time now! They definitely know how to wear out my six month golden doodle! At first it was hard because like any parent no ones just likes to leave their kids anywhere but I was able to talk to the staff a bit more and they made me feel Secure and comfortable about leaving him there! Today was his third day at doggie day care and it went amazing! Thank you to the owner who brought her boxer to help wear out butters!!! Club K9 is the absolute best and only place for our two dogs. We have a three year old bloodhound and a nine year old bluetick coonhound. The bloodhound has been going to daycare since he was a puppy, and always comes home from Club K9 tired, happy and with a belly full of his lunch. Recently, we were in a bind and needed to send both dogs to daycare for the day. The coonhound had already failed two separate pre-daycare evaluations in the past at different places (she's anxious and loud, but a very sweet girl), but we decided to give it one last shot at Club K9. We explained the situation over the phone to the folks at Club K9, and dropped her off the following day. When I returned a few hours later to pick them up, the employees were a bit puzzled as to why I was so worried to bring her to daycare again. They said she had a wonderful time, was sweet as could be and, to my surprise, welcome back any time! Sure enough, when we got home she was content and tired. Just the way you want your dogs to be after a daycare play day! Special shoutout to Amber and Ashlie for taking such good care of Albus and Nani. DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE! I brought my puppy here for the first time today, excited that she would get to play instead of hang with me at work. This was her first experience with doggy daycare. I went to check in on my lunch break and looked through the fence. There was no sight of my dog let alone any type of supervision. I walked in the door and the bell rang. She (worker) assured me that my dog was ok, and said she had to get her out of the kennel. . . No where did it say or did I agree to her being in a kennel nor have we started kennel training yet.This was my first experience with doggy daycare so I let it slide hoping that they would now leave her in the play area. I left for a few minutes and had an unsettling feeling and decided to go back and get my pup. Again, I saw no one with the dogs. I entered the building and then asked to see the crate room. I AM DISGUSTED! I had to walk through the back "office" and saw that EVERY employee there was on their phone or playing computer games (Not supervising any dogs)! I then saw the "kennel room" and can not believe this place is still in business. I walked in to find plastic travel crates literally staked on top of each other. There were dogs literally shaking crates because, I would guess they were scared. But these grungy looking plastic crates were uncomfortable to see, not to mention the dingy back room they were squeezed into and again with no supervision. My puppy has marks all over her and I was not informed that she was involved in any altercation. I understand rough and tumble play but these are more than that. An hour has passed since I picked her up and my high energy puppy is glued to my leg and her tail has yet to come out from between her legs. DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE !!!!! read more

Our younger dog went to club K-9 daycare regularly before the pandemic, but it had been a while since he'd been in. We had an upcoming trip and needed boarding, so decided to check in and see if they can accommodate us. From the start, Amber and her team were great. They communicated clearly when we booked the appointment, making sure to explain all policies and asked if we wanted the dogs bathed (do it- it's so worth it to pick up a fluffy clean puppy!). They even accommodated us with our older dog who wasn't able to be in the group daycare area. On drop off and pick up, the staff was friendly and seemed genuinely happy to see our guys. More importantly, while both dogs were happy to see us upon pick-up, they both seemed content and like they were having a good time. Now, they're both relaxing happily at home- no sign of anxiety or stress! Thanks for taking such great care of Mikey and Alex, it's so great to know we have a safe place to leave them when we go out of town. read more

Over the years I have taken my dogs (past and present) to a couple doggy daycare places. None of them even come close to Club K9 Tigard though. When I got my boy Ruben I took him here almost every day for a year and he never got sick or hurt. He literally starts whining when he figures out where we are going. I unfortunately live an hour or so away now depending on traffic so my dogs don't come here often anymore. There are many doggy daycare businesses around where I live now but I will always drive them an hour out of my way to board them here. I tried taking them to a daycare place not far from where I live that has really good reviews but when I went to pick my dogs up they seemed like they were ready to come home. That excitement just wasn't there. Like at all, with either dog. I know they are safe at Club K9 Tigard and well looked after. I feel very comfortable leaving my dogs here anytime. The owner and employees are great, very friendly. The building is very clean and doesn't smell bad like some of the other doggy day care places I've been into. They have great prices and the boarding rooms are really cute. My dog Ruben can get scared easily and the rooms they have I feel are perfect for him. The play area is big and its next to the roll up door so the dogs get lots of fresh air. I love that they post pictures of the dogs throughout the day. I've seen lots of pictures of Ruben sitting with one of the employees getting loves while my other boy Ryker is out playing. When I picked my dogs up last weekend I could not believe the look on Rubens face. I haven't seen him THAT happy in a long time. He LOVES it there. So does my other dog Ryker. Rubens a happy dog but he turns into a puppy again when he's there. It seems really silly but it brought tears to my eyes when I picked him up last weekend. He was just so happy and clearly was having a ball. I haven't seem that level of excitement in him in awhile. I've also done training there with Amber. Fantastic. Great pricing and I like the way she trains. I would HIGHLY recommend this place. I can't say enough good things about it. read more

While searching for a doggy daycare to board my dog for 12 days over the holidays, I came across this facility on google. It had (and still has) amazing reviews on Google, so I decided to set up an evaluation and see how things go. My dog did great at the evaluation and he seemed to enjoy his time there because when I picked him up, he was pooped. He stayed at the facility one more time for a daycare visit before boarding and he also seemed to enjoy his visit on that day. On December 16, I dropped my dog off in the morning for his 12-day stay. I packed just enough wet dog food along with extra kibble (he eats a half and half mix twice a day) in case the wet food ran out. I called on the evening of December 16 in order to see how he was doing and I was assured that he was having a good day, but was whining a bit as he had just been put in his suite for the night. This is normal for him because he gets a bit lonely, but settles down within 5 minutes, so I wasn't concerned. During the 12 days, I checked in on their Instagram page to see how my dog was doing and for the first half of the stay, there were pictures and videos of him playing with other pups, so I felt reassured that he was having a good time. However, towards the later half of his stay, the videos and photos became less frequent. I assumed this was simply due to the holidays being rather busy (having worked at a doggy daycare for about a year before, this did not seem out of the ordinary), so I didn't let myself be concerned about it. Finally, it was December 28 and I was picking my dog up. While paying for his stay, I was informed that he did "really well for the first half," but stopped eating regularly after that and that this change in behavior came "out of nowhere." However, the employee then followed that up with, "Well, he did get into something with another dog." This part isn't a direct quote, but whatever was actually said was said with a tone implying that it was meant to explain the change in eating habits of my dog. The employee then went on to say that my dog had been pawing at the daycare gate to be let out and he even tried to jump over a smaller baby gate to get out of an area. This type of behavior is entirely out of character for my dog and only happens when something has seriously frightened him. Despite this, I did not receive any phone calls, emails, or any sort of communication to inform me that my dog was so anxious. My emergency contact also did not receive any communication regarding this. From the information given to me by that employee, my dog was incredibly anxious and not eating regularly for approximately SIX DAYS. The fact that I did not receive so much as a quick phone call to let me know what was going on is unacceptable. After picking up my dog, he laid under my bed in his "safe space" for the remainder of the day, only coming out to go outside for potty breaks. Fortunately, my dog finally eased back into his normal self the following day. However, the damage has been done regarding my faith in this facility. I would not recommend anyone allow their dogs to stay here and I have even actively discouraged friends with dogs to avoid this place. Given the other reviews here on Yelp, I see that this is not a one-time thing at this facility. That is truly unacceptable. read more

My Meela absolutely loves coming here. Every time we pull up the car she starts dancing with excitement. When I took a look around the facility (yes they give tours) it was super clean and had a lot of room for the dogs to run and play. Every time I have picked up Meela She smells good and is wore out and ready for another nap. Other daycares have sent Meela home with cuts and smelling like a wet dog. I have never felt nervous about dropping my dog off at club k9 because I know they would call me right away if any thing was off with Meela. Dogs need quiet time when there is a lot of activity so I like that they have lunch time. Don't let that fool you though your dog will still come home wore out. Update 3/5/18 Unfortunately I had to move back to my home town of Indiana and Meela misses her pup and human friends so much! Witnessed some abusive behavior by a worker where a manager had seen as well nothing was done about it not even a heads up don't do that. Dogs were playing and the lady didn't want them too so she grabbed the loose skin on the dogs lower back and neck and proceeded to pick the dog up about two feet off the ground yell at it turn and toss it to the ground away from her. I rarely write bad reviews but unfortunately I was not too impressed by this boarding kennel. There was A LOT of miscommunication and misunderstandings going on about their prices and time pick ups. I'll admit that's a two way street so I'm to blame as much as they are. Some of my issues with them were that they did not follow my instructions on my dog's feeding schedule or respect the fact that she has a sensitive skin & allergies. They also sent her home with a piss soaked blanket and toys; they offered to wash her bedding, but they took over 3 days to do so. And to top it all off my dog came home with a broken toe and bite & scratch marks all over her jaw. My dog is a very sweet and gentle loving girl who is not a fighter by any means. And when I discussed the injuries with club k-9 after the vet appointment, their only concern was that I had signed a waiver that said they were not liable for any injuries to my animal. They were not compassionate or apologetic and blamed my dog saying she "plays rough" and denied that any fight had taken place with my dog and the other dogs during her stay. Long story short the only "good" thing I can say about this place is they accept somewhat last minute drop offs for dogs without bordetella vaccinations. read more

Our dog Wednesday loves Club K-9! We have been patrons of Club K-9 since June of 2014. She has utilized both the daycare and boarding services. First off, she has not been injured or sick in the almost year of going here. Let me just say with our previous boarding track record, that's nearly a miracle. And to me, that peace of mind is worth the cost. She is usually pretty stinky when she gets home but not as bad as some other places we have been to. The facility itself is also clean and odor free most of the time. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is because sometimes it's hard to reach them on the phone. Seems like it's gotten better in the last couple months, and if you leave a message they usually get back to you within 24 hours. read more

Poor communucation, rude treatment of client, expensive and poor care for pet equipment. I was very clear about my pickup time after a night of boarding but was not informed of a late fee for a post 1:30pm pickup...of $18 more dollars. A good time to inform a customer of the fee is when they state 4:30 pickup. They returned the dogs bedding smelling worse than I have ever smelled it. Our dog has been laying on it for 3 months and it smells like death in 1 night. All in all $62 for a night plus a $20 trial fee. I will not be returning. I could hire someone to stay at my house with the dog for that price. read more

We brought our dog here for a little bit. I honestly wouldn't really give then four stars but I understand they are a small business so I don't want to rag on them to much. Just know that when you bring your dog here they have a pretty long "nap time" which means they kennel your dog for two hours. The last time our dog went we picked her up during nap time. She was shaking and covered in pee. The thing is she will not lay in her own pee. So I am curious as to how small the kennels being used during that time is. It's a little annoying to pay 20 bucks to have her sit in a kennel half of the time she is there.(for our schedule) We found a in home daycare that charges half the price where she is never kenneled and is given home made food. read more

I take my 10 month old golden retriever here and have since she was 6 months old. She LOVES it here so much!! There are always plenty of dogs for her to play with. She has a ton of energy and when I pick her up she is usually pretty worn out. The employees and owner are very nice and know my dog which makes me feel so much better about leaving her here. So I would give this place FIVE stars for daycare. Our dog is always eager to come to Club K9, in fact if he is in the car and you drive down Bonita without stopping here he will flip out in the back of the car. IT is great to have this option to tire him out when it is pouring rain, or 90 degrees out. I'm struggling a little with boarding... We also felt really good about bringing him here for boarding. While $40 a night is a little steep, he sure does seem to like the place and they have the option to purchase a bath before you pick him up. This is nice because not only is he exhausted from running and playing for days, but also clean and so perfect to snuggle with when we get home from being out of town. :-) When we boarded him in January, we returned to pick him up at 2:00 (that is usually scheduled pickup if they have a bath prior to pickup) and he had in fact been washed the day before? This absolutely defeats the purpose, when he is then allowed to play with other dogs for six hours before pickup. I was pretty disappointed, but the wner actually called to apologize and offered to roll the credit to the next time we boarded him. I really appreciated that she followed up and was completely satisfied with that resolution. Then we went out of town last weekend and it was all prearranged for them to bathe him Monday afternoon before we were to pick him up at 2:00. When we arrived, he was again, not bathed. This time however, they had washed someone elses black dog. This is the part that has prompted us to look for a new boarding facility. I trust when I leave my dog somewhere for $40 a night that they will make an effort to know which dog he is. We always bring his food with us because he has a special kind, and he is not allowed to have toys because he will destroy them and could injure himself in the process. I have always trusted that the employees at Club K9 know which dog is mine, but now I can't even be sure that he has been eating the food we bring for him because they don't know who he is! My dog is black, yes, but being a GSP he looks nothing like the other black dogs. We will continue to bring him here for daycare because if they mistake him for someone else during the day the consequences aren't terrible. We are however looking for somewhere else to board him. read more

We have been bring our dogs here for a couple years and when we picked up our puppy the other day she was wet and covered in urine, don't know where it came from unless she was in kennel with it on the floor. This is the first time this has happened and I have always given raves about this kennel, am disappointed with her stay this time. Leaving your dog is like leaving your child at daycare. There are many similarities at least. Our first dog, we have had for 4 years, we never had the necessity of a kennel situation, but when we found ourselves with our 6 month crazy lab puppy and we were going to be over night for my brother's wedding, where dogs were not permitted - we had to figure something out. She still wasn't house trained for very many hours and still in the chewing anything and everything up phase. Luckily we found Club K9 just down the street from us. We were also having several behavioral issues with the new pup and had even dropped out of doggy classes as it was just too much stress and awful experience. Club K9's trainer came to our house and helped us deal with the immediate needs of the puppy training and helped work with both dogs together, which puppy class couldn't do. They have a evaluation day before you can leave your dog and that helps with the fear that any dog is completely unruly. We did several half and full days of daycare before having to board overnight and every time we have gone it has been great for us and the dogs. Our lab pops up and gets excited every time we enter the parking lot. It helped in socializing the lab as a puppy and it has been a great resource knowing our dogs are safe and well looked after while we are ever away, or even just for a day of play. We have gone a few times with many months between visits and they always remember our dogs and our older dog is a bit smaller and they even know to leave her with the lab in the big dog section rather than the little dog section as she prefers to be with her. They cater well to different behaviors of each dog and even give them baths at the end of the visit. I never thought I would have the dogs go to a daycare or a kennel, but Club K9 has seriously helped us beyond words can say. read more

The staff was very friendly; interested in all the details about this newly rescued pooch and did not bat an eye when he "christened" the front desk as boy doggies are prone to do. I like the location because it is tucked back and not on a busy street for those accidental dashes from the car without proper restraint. I forgot to mention a groupon I had for eval & 3 day visits; but they had no hesitation in allowing me to bring it in later and credit me for the eval I had already paid for. Brody was doing a definite tail wag when I picked him up and the best thing of all ... sleeping soundly from a full day of play. We'll be going back.
