The food is squarely 3 stars. The room earns the fourth…read more We got hot wings, fried shrimp, and tacos. The hot wings came out warm, not hot. The sauce did them in before they hit the table, and whatever crispiness they had going didn't survive the saucing process. Soggy wings are a personal affront. The shrimp were fine and completely forgettable. The tacos were the high point, which isn't a ringing endorsement given the competition at the table. Everything comes with a mountain of fries. An Everest of fries. We left probably two-thirds of them behind and I have no guilt about it. But the space. The space is genuinely great. Live music, big screens everywhere, neon all over the place, open layout that breathes. You can feel how this place goes off on the right night with the right crowd. It's built for a party, not a quiet dinner catch-up with a friend, we basically had to lean in and half-shout the whole time. If you're going for the atmosphere and a beer and some food that's good enough, Pochitos delivers. If you're going specifically for the wings, maybe recalibrate. Would come back for the right occasion, just not expecting the kitchen to be the main event.

Our server got our drink mixed up and added the extra shot into the wrong drink. Then she charged a hypnotic daq as the shot? My food did not look cooked, Our shrimp had to be peeled and it was a small portion. We paid $80 for trash food. Don't come here, it's probably better for the club effect but the food is trash. Disappointing!!!

You would think all the great cocktail bars would be in the heart of the city, but the Clear Lake…read morearea has some major contenders. Getting to this area from Pearland is much easier than heading into Houston so I was more than happy to come here. I've been here a couple of times and the most recent visit brought me and a party bus full of friends here on a Saturday night. The place gets busy but parking hasn't been an issue on any of my visits. It's a narrow bar that may seem tight, but it keeps going towards the back with more seating as well as a spacious patio. Customer service is always great and the bartenders know their stuff here. They have a pretty extensive drink menu here and there is something for everyone's preferences. They have a long list of cocktails and they can make you anything you want as well. The staff are experts here. They also have an impressive bourbon collections with about 200 kinds to choose from. Along with their cocktails, they have a long list of martinis. I love a good martini and here they have so many options. You can't go wrong with my favorite espresso martini, but the one that wowed me here was the Cucumber Patch. Cucumber flavor profile is not typically something I seek out, but I was in the mood for something refreshing and this was suggested to me. Get it and thank me later. As far as food goes, they have a separate BBQ business on site that sells some food. Don't sleep on the Bay Area if you are looking for a nice cocktail. This place will quickly be one of your favorites. I will surely be back.

I've driven by a countless number of times, and you'd never really know it's there. But walking in, you immediately get that local dive bar kinda vibe in the best way possible. I met up with some friends here for a chill drink after work, and to our surprise it was karaoke night! I have to applaud the regulars here because they can really SING! But don't be shy if you can't, they were welcome to everyone going up for a song. As far as drinks go, I had the Alimony. I was sold on it because it's gin, guava juice and elderflower liquor. Balanced, not too sweet, and had a little bit of sparkling effervescence. Pair that with a shot or a beer, and we were having a great time catching up with old friends. I don't remember our bartender's name, but she gave us great service. Overall 10/10 recommend the Davenport Lounge Clear Lake if you're looking for where the locals go, trust me they know best.

Being from NorCal I'm used to getting food that has a kick, but this is the third Houston Mexican food place I've been to that has nearly zero spice. I've had spicier food in Indiana, for crying out loud! The best dish was probably the Aguachile verde, which might have had an entire jalapeño in it. Maybe. But it was good. The next best was the nachos, which were really mini tacos with actual cheese, not a sauce. But after that, it was pretty disappointing. The wings were pretty bland, and the "spiciest" ones -- habanero mango -- were sweet. That's it. No habanero. No mango. The buffalo wings were actually spicier. The mixed drinks were overly sweet to cover the fact that they were extremely weak. And, finally, waitresses: put on some clothes. Hot pants and "blink, blink, blink" don't make up for mediocre food, slow service and watered-down drinks.

My guess is you really come out here for the atmosphere and it wasn't worthwhile. There are better places that provide better "atmosphere" nearby and they do have better food. I wouldn't recommend coming out here.
