    Us and the comedian!

My friend and I are nurses, and we came here to see the show "Nurses off the Charts". We had some delicious cocktails and were seated right next to the stage. The table next to us ate a sandwich which he said was really good. We had eaten dinner before the show, so we didn't try anything off the menu. The venue is cozy and intimate, featuring local performers and some traveling acts as well. The sound system was good, and I really thought the service was good without being disruptive. The price point for the ticket was reasonable, but the drinks are on the high end. There is no minimum purchase, so if you need to get a comedy, fix this is a fun local night out. I plan to keep my eye on the acts coming to town for another night out.

This is a great spot in Seattle to catch a fun night of comedy. They have up and comers as well as more well-known names come through, I got to see a showcase of a beginner's comedy class and it was fantastic. The club is well taken care of, the staff seem to enjoy what they do, they had a great variety of beverages available, we got a mystery microbrew bucket which honestly was all different varieties of ipa, but it was still fun. It's well taken care of the room has great ventilation and a good vibe. If we're ever out in Seattle for a night of comedy again will definitely see what is on the roster at Club Comedy.

Food was good. And it's nice they have their audition nights available. I enjoyed my time there and their drinks are jammin.

Mediocre comedy most sound the same. Crowd control rude, snobby and hateful to guests.

There's a good amount of seating in the platform area and a large open floor in the middle. A lot of people also stand/dance on the same platform as there's a lot of leeway for you to move between areas. I never really do coat check because I'm paranoid about not having my things on me, but the one here is easy and reliable. The only real issue was the photo booth which only worked for the first half hour or so. I'm assuming it ran out of film or something because at some point, it just kept taking people's money without taking any photos, which was brought up to the staff. This isn't necessarily on Showbox since the photo booth is provided by a vendor, but I would've appreciated an "out of order" sign. If this happens to you, you can visit the vendor's website and call for a refund!

We were served appetizers and drinks before the show. The coconut shrimp were fantastic, and large. I found the Clown Car almost impossible to drink because it was so sweet, but honestly that should have been expected. The absinthe is also fantastic. Now to the show! I was impressed by the caliber of entertainment. The announcer brought so much energy and humor, and brought in the crowd in just the right ways. The dancers were fantastic; basically the entire 3 hours was choreographed down to each step. My favorite number was the mermaid and sailor one. The singers were also good. I think they have a room for shows and dinner too if you're into it. I had fried chicken and beignets that come with a spicy honey butter that was excellent. Spread it all over the chicken and you'll be happy. The beignets were a lil too firm for my liking but powdered sugar and syrup cures all. Definitely an interesting spot to hit if you're staying in the pikes place area. I'm sure it's fun to see a show too.

The owner came out before the show and explicitly told the audience no talking. Within minutes, the guy to our left was talking through the entire main act. Nobody stopped him. To our right, a visibly drunk woman kept getting served, kept talking, and eventually spilled her drink all over the person sitting in front of her. Nobody stopped that either. Because the staff did nothing, other audience members had to step in and confront the drunk people themselves. That created real tension in the room -- which is about the last thing you want at a comedy show. You're supposed to leave laughing. We left stressed. I've been to the Comedy Store and the Comedy Cellar. Neither of those places would have let any of that happen. People get cut off. Talkers get handled. The show gets protected. That's not a luxury -- that's basic management. Seattle doesn't have many comedy clubs, and the ones that exist should understand that better than anyone. After the show, the owner apologized and offered us free tickets to any show for or non-reserved seating. We paid for reserved seats and got offered the back of the room as compensation. That's not making it right, that's making it worse. If you're going to charge people good money for a night out, you have to be able to control the room. Last night they couldn't, and we paid the price for it.
