Buying tickets and checking in was easy and we felt like there were no bad seats in the place. The show was really funny and seamless! I appreciated some mocktail options, especially with the two item minimum, but the ones I tried were really sweet. Very sprite heavy. We also got food and it was pretty average. I would say the food and drink are pretty on par with other comedy clubs- not going to blow you away. Same with service- it was fine. Went here last month for a improv comedy contest. I did have a good time however I do wish the stage was raised a more. It was hard to see with people in front of you at the same level and the stage is not raised up. I could barely see the comedians. On the plus side the bacon wrapped dates were everything! I wish I snagged a pic but it was too dark to be taking pics. Nevertheless they were tasty. I giggled because when I looked down our table I saw we all ordered them and we were all pleased. I've been here twice now and both times it was a really enjoyable time. First time, I was early and was seated right next to the stage. Second time I was just in time and place was already completely full and I sat in the very last row. They really pack the tables together but it was fine. Food is surprisingly good. Laughs is your classic comedy club: kind of divey, 2 drink minimum (or item these days to include food) with good sight lines and a postage stamp size stage for the act. This location has been through various incarnations over the years, but in my memory, always a comedy club with varying levels of national and local talent. With the explosion of comedy and mainstream venues offering it throughout the city, it is still really fun to go to an old school comedy club like Laughs, especially when they are featuring headline talent like Cristela Alonzo or Laurie Kilmartin. The food is your basic bar grub, and if you aren't a drinker it's helpful to have a snack to work off that minimum purchase. Seating is fairly comfortable in terms of space for a small club (you don't feel like your neighbors are on top of you) and there isn't a bad seat in the house. I haven't been here in years and almost a decade, but Laughs Comedy Club was still as entertaining as ever. I came here with friends for a small birthday gathering and we laughed so hard. There's not a lot of comedy clubs in the Seattle area, so there's not many to compare. Nothing really has changed since I last was here. It doesn't quite have the underground New York City comedy club, but more of a darker older Round Table Pizza. The chairs and tables are old, but it's a fine venue for comedians. There's no bad seat in the house. The only negative is the waiting bar area before the show. The hosts pack you like a can of sardines near the bar, so it's hard to even get close to get a drink. As for the show, the one we went to had 3 comics and the headliner. All were very funny and entertaining. The headliner went a little long, but I appreciated his standup. It felt like he unloaded years of material on us, but I didn't mind it. Definitely got our money's worth. Laughs is a fun time if you're looking for a date night or with friends. It's the place if you want to see popular comedians around the U.S. before they make it onto the grander stages. read more

We went to see Cristela Alonzo today and I gotta tell you I wasn't too hungry but I got their house salad with crispy chicken. Wow! I devoured that like no other. I could hardly see my food because lights are dim. I don't care if a bug walked in my salad (actually I do) but I mean I devoured it like nothing! That chicken, ranch and greens were so yummy! I also ordered a Comedy sucker punch and it was tasty. It was like an alcoholic tropical koolaid! Quite dangerous haha. Our waiter was Mason, very nice sweet person. All in all we had a great experience. I am delighted that live entertainment is back! I visited Laughs on a Friday night after buying tickets online that same morning for $15 per ticket. With that ticket, there is a two food/beverage item minimum, like most comedy clubs. However, for those not comfortable eating or drinking in public, there are $25 tickets in a section without eating that have no minimum purchase requirement. Showing up about 15-20 minutes before the show got my boyfriend and I seated in the front. Folks arriving closer to the show start time had to sit farther back. The tables seemed decently spaced, but I could see how it could make someone uncomfortable because it still felt very cozy in there (I could probably touch the table directly behind me because it was right behind mine a step up, without much spacing. During the show, our server came by the perfect amount of times. I was impressed he was able to refill our water three times and make drink and food orders, all while we were sitting in the very front row. Talk about great customer service! I really enjoyed the punch cocktail they served. The food wasn't great, but that's ok because I don't think great food when I think of a comedy show. My boyfriend and I ordered chicken strips and fish and chips. The menu is limited during covid, so it's mostly just burgers and platters like we ordered, in addition to a couple desserts and appetizers. The show itself was fantastic. Before the headliner, we got to hear from four other comedians (including the host). We excited through the rear to help with the flow of traffic, as there was a show after ours. This is probably the worst run comedy club I have ever been to. My girlfriend and I decided to go see Rene Vaca for my birthday (last night), and we ended up standing in line for about 40 minutes in the rain for no reason. Show started late. We got skipped by the server several times until I had to be slightly loud and pushy to get her attention. This was probably around 10:30. We got our drinks at 11:10 and about 10 minutes later the server came to give us a bill as the bar had done last call I guess? We were closed out by 11:30 and decided to leave because we weren't having a good time. Either the sound was too low so we couldn't hear jokes or it would randomly peak and be insanely loud. No middle ground. As we left, the older woman who I assume is a co-owner didn't ask about our experience or anything just said "did you pay your tab" I've read the comments that this establishment has with people on here and google reviews. They feign that they care about comedy and bringing people together for a good time. But in reality, they really just care about optics, and their bottom line We popped over to the Monkey Pub across the street and had a much better time over there listening to live music to end the night. read more

My husband took me to this comedy club for my Birthday. It was so kind of him to find out that my favorite comedian, Bengt Washburn, is finally visiting Seattle again! He bought tickets for us, and then there was also a fairly standard $15 minimum food and drink order. We didn't think the food sounded good and we weren't feeling too hungry anyway, so we each ordered a cocktail. Our cocktails were quite decent. He ordered a "Rated R" and I ordered a "Skinny Root Beer Float." Delicious! When we first entered this venue, the person at the front was so kind, genuine, and really welcoming. I even asked how much the small Pride flags were, since there were a large number of small Pride flags in a canister at the front entry desk - maybe 50 of them. The person said that they were not for sale, so I said okay. But then the person said spontaneously, "Oh, just take one!" I responded, "Are you sure??" And the reply was an enthusiastic YES! So now I have a free small Pride flag. Thanks, Laughs! We were seated in the middle area of the venue, even though we'd arrived slightly late. We felt pretty comfortable in that even though the venue was very crowded, we were about 6 feet or more away from almost all of the other patrons. It's very rare that we have eaten or drank indoors inside a venue or a restaurant (since the pandemic began), so we really appreciated this. Oh and I almost forgot to mention, they checked my ID and my husband's ID. They're probably required to check literally everyone's ID since it's an over-21 club, but this Birthday is a post-40-year-old Birthday for me so I was kinda jazzed about this since this somewhat rarely happens to me even at 21 and over places these days! Bengt's openers were pretty dang good. But, of course, no one compares to Bengt himself, in my opinion! I was belly-laughing constantly during his set. So great to see him again. We have seen him in person at other venues in years past. I'm still laughing randomly during my day today, remembering some of his jokes! He brought out a few old classic jokes that I remembered from his other sets, and he had plenty of great new material as well. My husband and I really appreciated how smooth and fluid Bengt was on his feet. He made some hilarious off-the-cuff improv jokes when a car loudly revved its engine right outside the comedy club. And his interactions with the audience (it's a small enough venue that the stage is very close to many of the audience members) were seamless, funny, jovial, sassy and irreverent yet respectful, and brilliant. Went to an early Saturday night show featuring one of our favorite comics. We arrived shortly before doors opened, and were lucky enough to find street parking just in front of the club. Otherwise, we probably would have been a block or more away, as this is tucked in to a residential area, with no actual parking lot conveniently located. We were greeted and seated quickly by Mason. Very attentive to our food and drink orders. Food isn't anything special, but the burger and fries were hot and fresh. Pays to be in the early crowd, I'm guessing! There's not really any other dining options in the area due to its location. The openers were funny, each in their own way. As with any performance, comedy is subjective, but we found something relatable and funny in each act. The main act was amazingly funny and topical. He's one of our favorites, and it was great to see him in an intimate venue, as well as to spend some time with him after the show. Seating might be a bit tight on some nights, and the bathrooms could probably use some updates (better stall doors) but we didn't really have any issue with the club. A good place to go see up and coming talent as well as some national acts. We'll keep an eye on the schedule, and likely return for another show. read more

Laugh's comedy club in Seattle has THE best staff in any event establishment I have ever been to. And let me be clear, I go to concerts multiple times a week. It's a little nerve wracking, at least for this introverted extravert to go to a new place. I had never been to Laughs but was up for the experience to celebrate a friend's birthday. But what happens if you are an idiot and bought a ticket for Friday night? Same comedian, wrong night. Panic. My introverted extravert anxiety really kicked in. I was already worried about having room for me at the table, as I did purchase my ticket late. The manager and server with blonde hair didn't even flinch and invited me into the event with open arms. She was so understanding and kind. I was thinking I would have to somehow buy another ticket OR kill time while my friend enjoyed the show and hope to meet up for a drink after. That's another thing... I am not drinking this month and the good company, service, and the incredible Alonzo Bodden made me full of drunk like laughter. P.S don't forget like I did... Sometimes half the fun is other audience members boisterous laughs. This was no different and elevated the perfect night even more. We had tickets to see Deric Cahill a couple months ago. We paid extra for the reserved seating in the front. When we got there we checked in with the door guy who looked our tickets up and had someone come to show us to our seats. Except they were in the back. When I said that we had paid extra to sit up in the front, he just said oh well it's full now I guess. Didn't seem to care at all. We asked if we would be getting the difference in money back between the two types of tickets and he just looked at us like he'd never heard of this concept before. It was very bizarre. Them they said no we had to email the next day to get our money back, they couldn't do refunds or partial refunds on the spot. I just don't get it, they obviously have a list of all the types of tickets and how many people have what type of ticket. Then he started blaming the comedian and saying that the comedian sold extra tickets. The next day I emailed the venue asking if we could get back the difference in the price of tickets and never heard back. Extremely disappointing. The food was all decent and the server that waited on us and brought us food and drinks was nice. But their total lack of care that they oversold the VIP tickets and that we had to sit in the back was bizarre and kind of started the night off badly. The guy at the door could've said something and didn't, and I thought blaming the comedian was very unprofessional. The comedian only has as many tickets as you give him to sell, it's not as if he just created his own tickets. So if he sold extra tickets then that's still a problem with your venue. We bought the tickets two months ahead of time and they had a printed out list of all the tickets, so they definitely knew how many of these tickets they had sold. And they really didn't care at all. It's not that big of a deal but it's more the principle. We didn't even get an apology. Honestly it felt like maybe the staff sat their friends or something up there and then there was no room for people who bought the tickets. I have no other idea how that could happen because all of the tickets are sold online so they set how many of those types of tickets can sell. I don't care how it happened, but a simply apology or even responding to our email the next day would have made me feel better but they didn't bother responding. I have been to this comedy club a number times since they reopened this year. Probably around 5+. I enjoyed each time, but am giving 1 star because of the terrible service. I recently purchased a Saturday ticket and quickly realized that it was the last one. Since I needed two more tickets for my two friends, I called minutes after the purchase and asked for a refund to which the manager said I could have one, I just needed to send an email. She suggested I buy tickets for Sunday instead and I ended up buying 3 more tickets for the Sunday show. When I went to the show and asked about the refund, the manager just shrugged me off, but the show was starting so I just went in. I never received my refund despite multiple calls and emails and messages on their site. I know they give refunds 1) because the manager said they did and 2) because on Saturday, the manager called me asking if I still needed two more tickets as she'd given someone else a refund. She was so eager to follow up with me when she needed to get rid of the extra tickets but went radio silent when it came to the refund. It's no way to treat a customer, especially since I've been a regular since I started going. Ive also introduced several friends to the place. read more

"my wife felt real bad about your situation. but i don't care about you. +you were rude to my staff +you were rude to my wife + everybody, including show attendees said your a world class b*&%h! owner david dennison" Which is funny because i'm not sure how they managed to ask attendees about a person they couldn't even identify properly to give a check to (twice) . I only had the one staff serve me one time so who are all these people I supposedly interacted with? I spoke to no one and interacted with no one outside of the one staff and the woman who claimed to be owner, the wife of this pig, so this is pure nonsense. Maybe worry about the people that walked out on numerous bills. They are so inefficient that I heard the staff complaining about people just walking out on tabs that they were scuffling to give out at the end of the night. If I was such a "b" as the owner claims I would've avoided all of this headache by walking out right along with them. Just bringing me right around to the lack of organization and professionalism. Great venue! Great show! Bad review only for food and coffee: The crab cakes were basically fried mush...c'mon, it's Seattle. Get some decent seafood to use. The coffee was TERRIBLE. I added a packet of honey and 3 sugars and cream, and I still couldn't finish the cup, it was so bad. Again, it's Seattle, buy some decent coffee to serve your guests! Side note: There were some rude people who talked during pretty much every comedian's set too...super disrespectful. I would advise that you take note of that in the future and give the talkers 1 warning, then kick them the F out! We had a girls night and went to see Josh Nassar and Todd Royce last night. We couldn't have had a better experience. The food was great, service was timely, everyone was friendly, the comedians were wonderful, the drinks were tasty, and it was very clean. I like the small atmosphere it made me feel like I was more part of the show than the big venues. I think things are turning around for this venue based off of the last few reviews I have read. The beginning was very funny and great service, until about the end the comedian was interacting with the audience and asking people to raise hands and talk to him so our group did totally fine, we had a friend come late and again he wanted to interact with the crowd so our friend said something (comedian was making jokes off it and everything) until the lady with short blonde hair came up to him and very rudely said "you need to stop yelling stuff out it's distracting" and he replied back calming saying "that was my first time talking" and she turned around and said "don't you dare make me repeat myself" not cool, so our other friend went and talked to her and said that wasn't cool and they got kicked out and threatened to kick the whole table out (13 people) If you don't want the audience to talk maybe talk to the comedian and don't let them ask people to raise their hands and talk with him or he even had a guest come on stage and do a joke?! Not cool and could've been handled differently, from reading other comments it sounds like people get kicked out a lot! They also didn't have a drink that was on their menu which is always a let down and somewhat embarrassing. The entertainment was great though! I went to watch a friend who graduated from their standup class, and I was really impressed by how much they all must have learned during that course! Cozy and well-designed, this comedy club puts in the effort. My date and I arrived for the 8pm show right when the doors opened, so we had no trouble finding parking and we got first pick of table seating. I appreciated that the tickets to see Brian Moote weren't over-the-top ($15 each plus online "convenience fee" = $37.50) and the opening sets featured other funny guys. Brian was okay, but I felt like he talked way too much about his accomplishments that it ended up taking away from the jokes he wrote about them. Fun selection of food and drinks, though the quality of each was lacking. We spent over $100 for the two of us with orders of steak nachos, sweet potato fries and pulled pork sliders, plus alcohol (Patron, beer and watered-down cocktails -- I had to send both of mine back and switch to a Diet Coke). The meal itself was on par with Applebee's, which was disappointing. Still, we ate our fill and embraced the night and walked away not hating life, so that was good.
