It wasnt really working, I was doing too much cardio and not enough weights so i was just staying the same shape and not really getting lean and toned. Plus it was soooooo boring!!!! SO with that I joined Evo fitness. The results really speak for themselves, I even cheated a fair bit on the diet and still lost weight (mainly around the tummy area) but what I was super happy with was the muscle I had gained. For once my dweeby little arms were finally getting some sort of shape, my legs looked great and my arse fit perfectly into my jeans. Some parts of the diet are hard but to be honest you need to be dedicated if you want to change, and if you dedicate to this YOU WILL! The team are AMAZING. Not only do they teach you, they make working out a really good laugh plus its only 20 mins each time. Who cant commit to that everyday? HIGHLY recommend everyone and anyone to give this a try! You wont regret it

Had never heard of them before and Google didn't exactly make them sound pleasant. It turns out they're something I'd have known as shuttle runs and done once upon a time with football and taekwondo. Still, it had been a while since I'd done circuit training. So along I went and there were 13 in the class of varying ages and fitness levels. That didn't matter. If you're unfit and giving it 100%, you'll get as much out of it as someone younger and fitter giving it 100%. I was drenched in sweat and knackered at the end of it but I felt good. I'll be stiff today and maybe a bit more tomorrow but I'll definitely go there again!

From the planning stages of kicking off an in-house bootcamp at my job they showed great passion in what they do. I took part in a 6 week bootcamp with them at my job which included nutritional advice as well as weights and measurements before/after. I have to say, I knew the space we had available for the bootcamp and was a little skeptical but these guys just know what they are doing, they very smartly used our office space/training room to it's full advantage. Over the 6 weeks, with two classes per week, every class was different, they had many exercises up their sleeves as well as awesome fun games which played on exercises but adding in some great team building aspects. I enjoyed each and every class, felt they had the right balance of pushing people to do more yet knowing when they got the max out of someone, which is great in targeting different fitness levels. In addition to the in class support, they set up a whapapp group which they offered motivation throughout the week, from fitness tips to food options, they gave us a insight into their breakfast and dinner to show it can be done. They also were very open to questions on a 1:1 level, anything you wanted to ask including great advance and support if you felt you had pulled or damaged something during training, real hands on experience which I felt puts them above any previous bootcamp course I've done before. Would highly recommend them and am looking forward to joining them on another round of bootcamp in 2016!

The first week we are given food advice, get our measurement taken and also get before and after pics taken. The trainers Robbie and Carol are such good fun and really Focus on each persons goals with one male trainer and one female they cater for all types of needs and of course if you need to discuss any flaws you may have, you have the comfort of talking with a male or female trainer!! One thing I love about the classes is that they always mix it up, each class is different from the last,cardio weights and boxersize are just some to name. so if your looking to get fit in your work place you should contact corporate fitness!!

The experience I had with David was in stark contrast and absolutely fantastic. My consultation was unhurried and in depth. He picked up on a few weaknesses and gave great nutritional and lifestyle advice. My training session a week later was fun! The programme I was given was entirely personalised to me. It was the opposite to a "cookie cutter" programme that you see handed out in many gyms or in books. I was given exercises that specifically addressed my personal issues and were part physical therapy, part training. They were adapted to suit me as we went along and modifications suggested. I left feeling enthusiastic and with a new confidence in my abilities! I love it that they are so contactable-I was able to email David afterwards with questions and they are very active on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Dublin-Ireland/The-Edge-Clontarf/114810641871232) and Twitter (@TheEdgeClontarf) where they post videos and give advice. They really do care about their clients and get genuinely excited when they achieve goals. They're like the ultimate cheer squad! People who put the personal into personal training and actually care about their clients. Win! P.S: Forgot to mention: they're annoyingly accurate in their body fat testing too. I've had a couple of body composition Dexa scans at different levels so I kind of have a vague idea what level I'm at myself. I'd estimate that Dave was pretty much bang on. Dexa is increasingly seen as the gold standard (i.e. best) test these days so they probably get to add "gold standard fingers" to their list of attributes. Has a certain ring to it I think!

That is why I decided to find a personal trainer to advise me. Having spoken to Odhran after the spinning class he takes i decided to try PERSONAL BEST Pt.... I find Odhran to be highly professional and extremely knowledgeable. He put together a structured training programme targeting weight loss, building strength and stamina and increasing my overall levels of fitness. This programme was tailored to my own individual needs and goals and being a chronic brittle asthmatic I find the programme both realistic and easy to follow. Odhrans dietry advise was invaluable and very educational. By being more aware of the sort of foods that I should and shouldn't eat and also altering when I ate made big difference to my weight loss. Once we had agreed on my specific targets we scheduled at least two training session per week also attending his spinning class inbetween which is also excellent....Odhran is a great motivator and I really looked to these sessions which are always varied and fun to do. In between sessions Odhran is always available either for advice, support or encouragement ,he is fantastic at working round me and my hectic timetable ...the emails are another added bonus he sends to you also . The experience is really enjoyable, educational and very beneficial, and for me represents terrific value for money. As such I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Odhran at PERSONAAL BEST Pt . ;-)
