One person ahead of me with a clerk on what turned into a long call verifying their purchase. Another clerk finally emerged from the back then a manager verified for him that he could make the sample from my paint numbers and paint sample (I came prepared) for $10-11 (as Lowe's will do). I reitterated throughout the conversation that I only needed the sample but he formulated a pint and charged me $35. He INSISTED that I needed that and not the sample that I requested and I reiterated many times. I started to just walk out and go to Lowe's but after investing about 25 minutes in this process with my wife waiting in the car I paid the $35 for a pint of paint that I didn't need that will just sit in my garage.

A guy walked out from the back texting on his cell phone and mumbled something to us (he didn't even look up from his phone) and walked to the back area. He never ONCE came back out to check on us or the other couple. We were looking at paint chips as well as getting a few supplies. He never asked us if we needed any help or if we had any questions. Very horrible customer service. I was very turned off. Flash forward a few weeks later-My husband wanted to come here real quick to buy a few quart samples. The staff that day was very friendly and helpful. I didn't see the same guy as we did last time which is a good thing. We asked our questions and bought our stuff without any issues. It's bad that a few bad employees can ruin a good store.

Did not even completely cover in 3 either :/ Romabio says I have to get a refund through Magnolia but Magnolia says it's our fault for not using primer even though Romabio says directly on the can and TDS no need for primer on unsealed/unpainted brick. Romabio agreed to give magnolia credit for the product but Christine said she wouldn't 'feel comfortable' giving us a refund for any amount. Christine lied to Romabio that she had warned us to use primer on our unsealed brick. I will never use Magnolia Paint again... Christine was not sympathetic that I was out over $2,000. She said she had to look out for her store even though Romabio agreed the product had not lived up to its description and I should be issued a refund. Same with their corporate manager Christy. She started the conversation by saying she didn't have much time for me even though I had just informed her that her store manager Christine had hung up on me. I also reached out to the owner and have not received a response. I attached a picture of the brick with 3 coats. As you can see, the finish is threadbare even though Romabio advertises their paint as a 2 coat, 'uniform', 'opaque' system with no need for primer on unsealed brick.

It's just not something they are equipped to do. That's why you want to go to S-W! Yes, they are busy, so ask yourself why. It's because they are the 'go to' store for the DIY tribe, the Contractors and folks who need education on doing paint the right way. My third time using this location and once again the deliver. I knew my paint detail from previous orders. I called right when they opened at 7a and they were already busy on a Tuesday morning. Tristan took my info and asked for a 1/2 hour. When I rolled in 1/2 hour later, there was a line of course but he had the paint ready and I was in and out in minutes. They also have a Paint Points program you can use on-line which offers great discounts and access to resources anyone painting will value. DON'T go in there in a hurry and expect to get immediate service. Have your FACTS ready, your samples in hand for matching and pack your patience. Otherwise you'll be like all these other reviewers who expect it to be like a fast food drive thru cause it ain't that. YES, they STILL honor the 15% off for Vets!

Sabrina greeted me when I entered the store and immediately had solutions for my returns and new purchases. I had placed an online order an hour earlier as I left the Independence Blvd Store that morning hoping to snag a clearance item. As I was directed to the section of the store for the patio cushions, I was going to return and purchase matching cushions, as the Pineville store definitely had more inventory! Again, Sabrina was training a new cashier and was so helpful to both of us as we navigated the process to get me out of there. In addition, Lourdes helped to expedite and bring the item that I ordered online to me, which was so generous! Both of these team members went above and beyond in customer service for me today and I wanted the district manager and the store manager to please recognize both of them and let them know that I'm telling everyone to shop at the Pineville store, even though I live Uptown. Thank you so much Sabrina and Lourdes for making my day and my interaction with you both so easy and enjoyable.
