Another clerk finally emerged from the back then a manager verified for him that he could make the sample from my paint numbers and paint sample (I came prepared) for $10-11 (as Lowe's will do). I reitterated throughout the conversation that I only needed the sample but he formulated a pint and charged me $35. He INSISTED that I needed that and not the sample that I requested and I reiterated many times. I started to just walk out and go to Lowe's but after investing about 25 minutes in this process with my wife waiting in the car I paid the $35 for a pint of paint that I didn't need that will just sit in my garage.

Their only offer was to give the contractor a credit for the cost for future paint but that's doesn't help the homeowner (me) who had to pay for labor to the sub. It doesn't help the delays caused to other trades and the cost of recovering the brand new carpet to protect it from a whole room paint job. It should not be the contractors job to reimburse me and wait for his money in the wash of future materials. This is poor business. They should stand by their product. They should reimburse of the cost with cash or a check. I called to speak to Matt but was left on hold. I've been in business myself over 20 years and sometimes you have to eat your mistakes. Sabrina greeted me when I entered the store and immediately had solutions for my returns and new purchases. I had placed an online order an hour earlier as I left the Independence Blvd Store that morning hoping to snag a clearance item. As I was directed to the section of the store for the patio cushions, I was going to return and purchase matching cushions, as the Pineville store definitely had more inventory! Again, Sabrina was training a new cashier and was so helpful to both of us as we navigated the process to get me out of there. In addition, Lourdes helped to expedite and bring the item that I ordered online to me, which was so generous!
