Everyone was scattered among the tables being inside and outside the shed. I really do appreciate the staff there suggesting the cocktail tables because everyone hung out at those almost all night long. Thank you so much for everything.

We could've stayed here all day! The employees are friendly. I love how the play structures are Nebraska themed. And I really loved how they play Disney music on the speakers! The only thing I would critique is the parking. The museum itself is close to UNL, the university campus. Making it hard to park. There is meter parking available however there's also a ton of construction, making it easy to get lost if it's your first time visiting. Other than that -- we had a fabulous experience. While that time slot wasn't the most ideal for our family's schedule, having the museum almost entirely to ourselves was a huge perk. The kids rarely had to wait to use an exhibit, which made for a much more enjoyable experience than visiting during normal operating hours. Overall, the kids had a great time running from exhibit to exhibit, but I did find some of the museum's displays a little underwhelming. A number of the stations could benefit from clearer signage explaining what you're supposed to do. In several cases, it wasn't immediately obvious how an activity was meant to be used or what made it interactive. Some of the exhibits also feel like they're due for an update. Having visited both, I personally think the Omaha Children's Museum offers a wider variety of exhibits and more engaging hands-on experiences, but Lincoln's museum still provided plenty to keep the kids entertained for a couple of hours. The birthday party area itself was pretty standard. It reminded me of a concession stand or cafeteria-style space with tables and chairs. The birthday family was able to decorate a gift table and bring in their own cake, but it didn't really feel like a space where you could create much of a themed party atmosphere. I'm not sure what the museum's decorating policies are, so that may have played a role. One thing that stood out was the lack of water for the adults. The kids had drinks, but there weren't bottled waters or even cups of water available for the parents. I had forgotten my water bottle and ended up filling one of the small paper cups at the drinking fountain, which wasn't my favorite option. The museum also made a couple of announcements over the PA system--one for dinner and another to let everyone know there were about 15 minutes left in the party--but they were so garbled that I couldn't understand either one. I only found out what had been said after talking to other parents. Even with the reduced noise level from having a private event, the announcements were difficult to make out. The building itself has an older feel, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it does show its age in places. Overall, the kids had a wonderful time, and that's ultimately what matters most. With some refreshed exhibits, clearer instructions at the activity stations, and a few improvements to the overall guest experience, I think the museum could be even better.

They told me, they can do it and will call me on a Friday when the sketch was done. They called me two weeks later. I went over to see the sketches and they were fine. I just wanted the plane a little bit bigger, so they told me they will call me once the final sketch is done. They never called me back. Last week,'I called them to see what was going on, they said "o, we had bigger projects that came up, so we weren't able to finish your order." I calmly and politely said. "OK, please let me know when it's ready for me to see." It is now September 2! Really?! So, my order was so insignificant, small, unimportant, that they can't even bother to call me, to tell me! Don't make me wait. Don't tell me you can do it, if you really can't! Because my order is smaller than your other orders, doesn't mean you can set it aside, and I'll wait for months! Unbelievable! O by the way, this order was a gift for a lieutenant colonel in the United States Air Force, someone who has risk his life over and over for your freedom, so you can be free to make art stained glass! Just keep that it mind.

It was around $7 so not too bad for a drink because that's around how much Starbucks charges for their matchas. My friend got a mocha and said it tasted really good too. We also shared a muffin and they warmed it up for us. There were only a few other people in the cafe at the same time as us so we got our drinks/food pretty fast. The inside was so cute and it was perfect for hanging out or studying. We walked around on the other side of the cafe and they had a lot of cute little gifts. I am definitely planning to come back especially since they have a seasonal menu so I'm already planning to try something new!!

I sensed a hippopotamus theme going on, super fun and festive. I didn't see many flowers, but couldve missed it. If you go to their instagram page, you'll find gorgeous flower arrangements. Very personal and professional. I believe they do big events too such as weddings. It looks like there is an event space there. My daughter and I had a rice crispy treat and eggnog matcha at the cafe. Everything was so good. I loved the games available for customers to play. What we purchased at the cafe was worth every single penny! We'll definitely come back for the Pinot affogato and food. The employees were extremely helpful and nice.

Now having a toddler, this zoo is truly perfect for little ones. Easy to walk, the right size, and packed with activities they can actually enjoy. We stopped by for a couple of hours on Sunday to soak in the beautiful mid-November weather. It wasn't busy, which was great, and we got to see all the animals we were hoping to. The giraffe exhibit is one of my favorites! The staff is always so kind and the grounds are incredibly clean. They already have the Christmas lights up, and wow I was so impressed by how many there were! I'll definitely be coming back at night to see everything lit up during the Zoo Lights experience.

The staff set up and broke down the space with ease, transforming it from wedding chapel to buffet to dance floor, all the while the bartender kept the drinks flowing. The food itself was great -- spinach salad, potatoes, green beans, and mixed vegetable with tofu -- all vegan. For the meat eaters, there was a roast and turkey breast to chomp on as an entree. All in all, I really enjoyed my time at Chez Hay. Definitely a great option if you're looking to throw a private event, catering included, in Lincoln.
