Our first experience with the business was their website. It is kept up to date and has all of the information you need. Our next experience was their parent portal. It is so easy to use. I love how easy it is to find and register for classes. I also love that you can check your athletes progression toward his or her skills. Then we actually got to go to the gym for tryouts. It is a simple process, and everyone is so kind and welcoming. The owner was present and willing to answer questions. I loved how honest and up front he was. The coaches push the athletes to be there best and work hard, and as a result I observed some of the best tumbling technique I have ever seen as I watched the practice that was running at the same time as tryouts. We are still deciding if we can do the hour (each way) commute twice a week for tumbling and cheer, but if she does choose to cheer it will be here.

The coaches are rude and offer no feedback to the tumblers. They appear lazy and disengaged. You are NOT allowed to watch and will receive dirty looks and a phone call if you do. This place is a huge waste of money and will offer no growth when your tumbler is leveled down under their level despite doing skills near perfect, there is always a slight deduction they will notice. When you question them they get defensive and rude and will treat your tumbler with even more criticism. Horrible coaches, horrible system, horrible customer service. Please take your business somewhere else and do NOT allow your tumbler to be belittled and torn appear by them further diminishing their confidence.

For the birthday, we basically had the place to ourselves for two hours. The venue set up tables in their party area and then you bring everything else; cake, drinks, and decorations. The staff set up gymnastics activities and games for the kids to play right as the party started. I believe they only offer party rentals on the weekends, as the week is filled with gymnastics practice and training. The children had access to pretty much everything in the gymnastics area. I was a little nervous because some of the items (balance beam & swinging bars) looked rather advanced for my six and three year-old, but we made it out alive. My daughter especially loved this and asked if she could come back. They do offer classes as well and I believe are open to the public for free play opportunities. We may have found my daughter's new obsession!

Her ability to empathize, encourage, and teach the athletes is something special to witness. Now that I have children of my own, I would not hesitate to have Annie coach them. I trust her completely to understand athletes' needs and coach them to achieve their goals. I've always appreciated her calm, cool, and collected demeanor on and off the mat. She knows when it's time to have fun (she's really good at that, too) and when it's time to get serious. It doesn't matter if you are considering starting gymnastics for the first time or are a seasoned pro; I'm sure this gym has a place for you to thrive.

Unfortunately, this second visit was the complete opposite of our first. When we arrived, we were told she wasn't registered, even though we had already paid. After some back and forth, they "found a spot" and told us we were lucky, which didn't feel great considering the mistake wasn't ours. From the moment her new instructor walked her back, I could see my daughter's discomfort. She's only four, and getting into a pool with a stranger requires warmth, patience, and a little time to build trust. Instead, her instructor was neither friendly nor engaging. My daughter managed about five minutes in the water before becoming too overwhelmed. Swimming should be fun, safe, and encouraging--not something a child feels forced into. I hope the program takes this kind of feedback seriously, because young swimmers need instructors who understand how to connect with children, especially during those first few lessons to build trust and confidence.

All the reviews are rather old so this is my recent experience. I sent my daughter to the winter…read morecamp and she did have fun (2 stars for that). However, I don't think I would recommend them or send her again because of the poor management and communication from the staff. In the first day I kept her home because I was worried she might be sick and it was a couple days before Christmas (not nice to share bugs and ruin the holiday for others). And they are very upfront that there are no refunds. I was cool with that day because it was my choice. I called them to ask if there is a specific drop off time or details for the next day and was told there wasn't. Drop Off was flexible. Additionally, I checked the email they sent out and it only had the one address (for the building with the bus parked outside). The next day my daughter was 100% but slept in and my husband tried to drop her off at 11:30. He went to the address we were provided, and found the lights off and a sign on the door that said they were closed for the winter break. I called and called the number for an hour. Their phone system is super annoying because you have to listen to a long message advertising their programs before anybody picks up, then if nobody picks up, while you are holding you have to listen to another message on a loop. There is no way to leave a message. Seems like a very 1980's way to mange phone communication. Finally at about 12:30 I get ahold of a person. She said she is the only person who can answer the phones during camps because most of their staff is off and rather indignantly points out that she deserves a lunch, so she was away from the phone. Also, while she is on break , because they only use a skeleton crew for winter camps, all the kids are walked over to the other building where the the dance and gymnastics classes are held, which is why the place was closed when my husband tried to drop off. I mentioned that I had specifically called the day before to ask about drop off times and arrangements and nobody had communicated that there is a second location used. Her attitude was that I just should have known to go there. I pointed out that if they have a sign indicating they are closed for the holidays, they could also put one up indicating that the camp site has moved to a second location while she is on break. She did offer that I could drop off my daughter now (it was movie time) but it was nearly 1:00 and she would only be there for a short time by the time my husband drive her back over. The other concern was than, while I agree everyone deserves a break, if there was an emergency with a child and the parents needed to contact AKM, having no way to leave a message or having them forward calls to someone who can cover the phones, seems rather dangerous. My daughter did finally make it the next week and had fun. However, my husband had mixed feeling with the place when dropping her off. For what is described as a "camp" it did not offer all the activities mentioned in the advertisement. Also, when he dropped her off at 9:30 ( an hour after it started) he said there was only 1 adult, who appeared to be a young lady or teenager, watching 9 other kids of various ages as they ran around in an unstructured environment. He sat in the car for a bit to observe. She took all the kids out to the sidewalk area, gave them a bag of cheese its and watched them run around the sidewalk while they ate their snack. She then took them back inside for more playtime. He ultimately decided that because he was off and could come get our daughter if she was not having fun he was willing to give it a chance. There was nothing unsafe occurring, just rather it felt more like a daycare than a camp with planned activities. My daughter enjoyed running around the ninja course and swimming, so they did more activities through the day. I emailed my concerns and waited over a week for a response and have received none. Overall, did my daughter have fun?- yes. Would I send her again- probably not. The price point for what you get, the poor management and communication seems like they have some gaps in their process that makes me feel like the camps are an afterthought and not run with attention to details. Plus, if you are using this as daycare during the winter school break (we were not) their hours are not very convenient. It opens at 8:30 and pick up is 2:30, not exactly helpful hours for working people.

They also offer special events for all ages/families and some for specific ages. They even host birthday parties! We are currently attending a Waddlers class (Wednesday at 4:50pm) and a Tiny Tikes/Waddlers (Saturday at 9:00am) class. Coach Jordan, Coach Yii and Coach Allison have all be wonderful, supportive teachers! I absolutely love the class structure because there is a beginning/middle/end group component, and in between all that you are able to let your little run around and explore on their own. The group component include "circle time" and then practicing a new skill. We have been going for a month now, and quite honestly, I don't feel that anything has been the same- there is always something new and the gym has a new set up each week! It's fantastic and prevents boredom. I also love that my daughter gets that idea of structure and needing to be a part of a group for a moment (because honestly what toddler has more than that) , but then also gets plenty of time to explore on her own, and quite frankly learn from other kiddos. Great job Jordan and team! We look forward to continue participating.

My Gym is a huge place for littles to run around. They offer an abundance of classes for different age groups, birthday party packages and they also have fun events during the holidays and so much more. The prices for unlimited tuition was a bit higher compared to the other gym I was looking at but I felt it was so worth it since we can go more than once a week and the class times were a bit longer. They do offer discounts which really helped cut some of the cost. They offer trial week usually for less than $10 or even free. And they sometimes have promos/ flash sales for 4 week classes. Once you sign up they also give you a tote with goodies. Signing up is easy, create a log in on their website and you can sign up for the different classes they offer. I love the whole concept of free play, circle time and skills. There's always something different and my daughter really enjoys the different activities they present. My daughter was about 2y3m when we started going and she did not listen when it was time for circle time she would wander off but I noticed over the days/weeks/months we've been taking her she's gotten better at listening and participating. She truly loves coming to My Gym. She gets really loud and excited as we enter the building always jumping in joy. And would always ask to go to the Gym when we're home. This place is clean and the staff is so friendly! Coach Jordan, Coach Allison, Coach Jason, Coach Shawna and Coach Waldo are the best!!! They do such an amazing job interacting with the kids and keeping this place a fun and safe environment. Highly recommended taking your littles here.

***If you're looking for a swim school that's home based and has kids running all over the parking…read morelot banging on your car doors and windows then this is the swim school for you** My son attended Swell swim school for almost 2 seasons Unfortunately this last season was cut short by the owner Katy. I wish I would've known sooner the type of business owner this place had and I would've took our money elsewhere. Story time: My son and I show up one day for his swim lesson, I notice there's a little boy running all over the parking lot, banging on customers windows and doors trying to direct traffic for "fun play" I try and let it go it since I have kids of my own, but this kid was persistent on following my son and I telling us rules for his parking lot and etc, I then disengage with the kid as I don't want to be late for our swim lesson and this kid (same from the parking lot, about 3-4 year old) tells me he's going to "shoot me in the face with his nerf gun" he tells me this because he notices I'm not paying attention anymore and he wants me to understand his rules I'm appalled and shocked that a kid this age would say this? I'm wondering where the parents for this kid are since he's wandering around alone.. mind you I'm with my son who would NEVER say something like this to a stranger so I'm walking away and I tell my son that's a bad kid we don't say that I don't say that directly to the little boy I say it to my son so he understands this type of behavior is not okay. Long story short, we go on with the day & my son attends his swim lesson with his phenomenal teacher Miss Lauren and right when his swim lesson is over my son is changing into dry clothes.. the owner Katy who it's my first time meeting comes up to me in-front of all the other parents waiting and confronts me about the situation and has his son apologize which I thought was nice however she follows this apology with letting me know there's "no such thing as a bad kid" and ensures to let me know that this kid running around was hers and that it's his house. I then proceed to let her know, her kid told me that he would shoot me in the face with his nerf gun in-front of my son which is NOT okay and this owner seemed to disregard that.. she was more concerned on the fact that her sons feelings were hurt. I forgot to add that I'm also super pregnant at the moment, so I don't have time for the drama let alone cause a scene in-front of other parents at this facility so I let Katy know this incident wouldn't happen again and she says "good" and walks away Well, I guess Katy didn't like my response because Literally, a couple of mins later as I'm about to take off with my son since we are done for the day Katy, immaturely comes up to me & states she doesn't feel Comfortable with my son attending her swim school anymore and that this lesson he just completed would be his LAST one , oh & that we would get a refund for the remaining classes my son has left... (in front of ALL THE OTHER PARENTS) Mind you my son still has a couple of lessons left In his swim season, I'm appalled and shocked and embarrassed that Katy would take this out on my son who had NOTHING to do with the situation. Pretty much my son had to change back into his swim clothes, graduate early and get his medal. All this is happening as the next kid now has to wait for his swim lesson to start with Miss Lauren due to the owner kicking my son out of her school & miss Lauren having to spend extra time with my son to have him "graduate". Again, I am soooooo embarrassed, angry and in shock at how Katy (the owner) handled all this. As a parent, I let my son know he did awesome and that is why he was graduating early from swim school since he's questioning on why that was his last swim day.. Later this day I go home let my husband know what happened he's just as upset as I am he contacts Swell Swim school & Katy's husband answers, they have a conversation & my husband asks if my son is able to finish his remaining swim lessons.. the owner lets my husband know he will talk to his wife and get back to us which he did later in the day & says Nope, my son is not allowed back. This was just not the way I pictured this high rating swim school to be, it's upsetting. However, note that this situation that happened to me can happen to ANY parent that attends this school if it hasn't already so just be mindful of that i'd recommend looking into other swim schools that are actually professional to avoid any mishaps. :)
