I need to give credit to one of my favorite nail salons! When it comes to your nails ... you have to take care of them! The ladies here are so sweet and do a great job. As others have said, they have a great color selection and a beautiful atmosphere. Really just a nice get away to get your nails done and relax a little. I'm sorry but if your nails smudge, that's more so because you didn't wait long enough for them to dry. No nail tech is going to smudge your nail and let it dry without going in to fix it. My nails have always been perfect here! Disclaimer tho-- I really love my nails and file them myself so when I get them done it's more so for convenience and service. Fran is an angel and I always trust her to do a great job. When I can easily do my nails myself at home (and do them well ;) ) this is one of the few spots I'm happy to go in and let someone do it for me. I've been to cheaper places that just aren't good and more expensive places that are just not worth it. I love clover!!! read more

I went to Clover nails based on a Tik tok recommendation - the original poster of the video said Clover Nails is the best but all their clients keep leaving ... NOW I KNOW WHY .. If you've ever gotten a dip manicure, you know there's a specific process. Unfortunately, the technician doing my nails clearly didn't. Instead of saying she didn't know how to do it, I sat there for over an hour while she kept dipping my nails directly into the red powder -- with no primer or bonding agent -- and then painted over them with a clear coat that actually wiped most of the powder off. She repeated this 2-3 times per nail before removing whatever didn't stick and starting again. By the end, I had clumps of red powder stuck under my nails, and my fingers were stained bright red when I walked out. Just about 3 hours after my appointment one of the nails completely fell off leaving me with one naked nail. This place is so unprofessional and I definitely wouldn't recommend this place. I really didn't want to write a bad review for a small business but not only was the service horrible, but the customer service is just as bad. When I called the next morning to express how unhappy I was with the awful service and that the one of my nails came full off within 3 hours, the owner, Sarah, told me "Sorry the woman who did your nails was new but we don't do refunds" .. so happy I wasted $70 of my hard earned money for nothing Not to mention the first two colors I chose they didn't have, the service was more than what she quoted me on the phone, and I showed up early for my appointment but still waited over 20 minutes. Honestly SO sad to be writing this...I have been a regular at this place for over a year. Fran was the BEST nail tech I've ever had--she was quick but my nails always came out perfect, she understood what I wanted every time. She left a few months ago and my experience has never been the same, but today was my turning point where I don't think I'll ever come here again. I asked for extensions and the nail tech didn't ask me how long I wanted them. She cut them down to where my natural nail was, so I ended up paying over $100 for no added length. Then, we were using chrome and she had NO idea how to apply. It turned out super patchy and glittery which means it is cured wrong, it's supposed to be reflective not sparkly. I feel so much rage when looking at my nails bc not only are they too short but I absolutely HATE glitter. I have used the same chrome with Fran and it was perfect. My nails are also cut unevenly and there is polish on my nailbeds and fingers--it looks like a teenager did them at home. She didn't cut my cuticles or manicure my hands at alll before the application. The worst $120 I have spent here. Very disappointed to say the least, and I left in tears. read more

Had a wonderful experience at Clover Nails! At first, my friend and I were a bit hesitant to go due to some of the low-star reviews, but I am glad we went to get our nails done! My friend and I went to get regular polish pedicures first. Clover Nails was very quick and relaxing. I was interested in getting my nails done that day, but since they were a bit damaged from my previous manicure I was a bit worried to have another manicure done so soon. My stylist was very nice and looked at my nails saying I could get another manicure, but they would be gentle on the buffing so that my nails don't get more damaged. Later on, I went back to get a gel manicure and they remembered discussing my damaged nails and did an excellent job accommodating. I was very unsatisfied with the service. The store only has three nail artists, and many customers were waiting. My nail artist was rushed to complete my service. She did not cut my cuticles, it turn out so untidy. With no consent, she decided the nail length herself, it turns out super short, which doesn't match my expectation at all. We discussed the price first--109, by the end of service, she changed her mind to 120ish. It's not much, I did not argue, however it makes me feel very uncomfortable. I was visiting and needed my nails done so took a chance. When I left, I was generally satisfied. My only complaint was that my nails were unevenly shaped. But I'm not that picky so it was fine. Her technique was great and the finish was nice and sleek which I liked. Sometimes dip finsihes are thick and chunky. After one week, the nails on my left hand were intact and beautiful. On my right hand they where chipping and cracking everywhere. I'm right handed but it's not like I'm boxing with it. 3 weeks later, my left hand still looks great. Each finger on my right hand has either fully peeled or badly chipped. Maybe they forgot a critical step on my one hand? I made a reservation with Meriam because of the reviews on Google. I paid double the price of what I would usually pay for this quality of service. I had to correct the lady three times because she just wanted to do a mediocre job. She made me bleed on my finger but dis not put anything on it or apologized. Since you pay $40 (before tip) for a regular mani/ pedi you would expect your nail lady to pull your chair so you can sit on the drying machine, and expect someone to help you with your shoes. They just drop you as soon as you pay and take the next client. Oh! luckily I had the tip in cash because the owner and the nail lady was so ready to lecture me if I didnt. The ambience was nice with warm lighting not fluorescent glaring. Manicure was pretty good I'd say an eight out of 10 but gave about 10 seconds of a hand massage which it's nice when someone gives longer and isn't just phoning in the manicure. HOWEVER, I got a back massage which was mediocre at best and they charge $15 for 10 minutes!! It's pretty safe to say most places are about a dollar a minute plus or minus. Even if it had been 11 or $12 it would've been OK it's just the principle of charging 15 for a mediocre 10 minute massage and expecting a tip on top of that. read more

I paid $86 for a mani-pedi at Clover this weekend. The gel manicure turned out well, but the pedicure was not good. I waited two full hours before putting on socks and shoes after the pedi and my toes still got ruined. I think they put on too many layers of polish and the polish was so thick that it didn't lay on my nails well. I wanted to go back in the next day for either a polish change or a refund, but they are closed on Sundays. Now I'm having to get my polish changed in the airport since I'm heading somewhere warm on a business trip. Very frustrating. read more

I was in a rush and didn't have time to go to the nail spot I usually go so I popped into this one with no expectations. Got a mani and pedi with Livia and she's easily the best of all the ones I've had. She definitely handle everything with great care and the whole experience was just so smooth, gentle and very therapeutic. I opted for quick dry on both and even though I stayed for an additional 5 minutes tops to dry the mani, I didn't realize the great job until a day later. I figure I'd already dented or scratched it up after a few hours of meal prep and cleaning shortly after leaving the salon but nope, it held up and I'm pleasantly surprised. The cuticles were also done perfectly and continued to attend to me after she finished even though I hadn't asked (dry sprayed my toes and putting my socks and sneakers on). I come here on my lunch breaks and I like this place. No, it's not fancy and any business located on the 2nd floor of a subway makes me nervous, but they are clean and the women who work here are always nice. The owner remembers us and helps us find our obscure Essie polishes. They always have the new colors, which is exciting. $10.50 for a manicure with quick dry. Clover is a busy but not cramped nail salon (by NYC standards), located on the second floor up a narrow flight of stairs. The first time I visited, I got the tough love treatment from Soon, who told me she could tell that I cut my cuticles (tsk tsk) and needed to take better care of my nails. She was efficient and very detail-oriented, and as a testament to that, my mani lasted nearly 2 weeks without a chip - and I dish wash by hand. Decided to swing here for a gel manicure while I was back home in NYC for a week. Although the service was good, I ended up paying $60 including tip (twice as much as my salon back home) for gels that are lifting after less than a week. For the money I paid and all the autographed celebrity pictures hung up in the shop, I'm very disappointed in the end product. I walked in on a Thursday in early afternoon and was greeted immediately. They told me a gel manicure was $35. A little steep, but fine, whatever. I asked if they did holographic gels--no. Instead, I showed them a glitter ombre manicure that they said they could do for $15 extra. They helped me pick a base color and a glitter for the ombre. I agreed and sat with a quiet but efficient lady who was very meticulous with the design. I loved how it turned out (hence the $10 tip) but really expected more than a few days worth of wear without peeling/lifting. I guess this is a lesson for me not to stray from my home salon! read more

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. O had a horrible experience here. I called ahead of time to ask if they did fillings they said they did. It was twice the price of my normal salon but I was meeting friends in the area, had a few hours to kill and my nails needed doing so I went. The lady doing my nails had no clue what She was doing and was removing my gel top coat with a regular hand nail file - when you are supposed to file down with the power tool - not sure what it's called. She clearly spoke English as I saw her with other clients but when I asked her to do something like make the nails thin she said ok but all of the fillings are uneven and very thick apart from one. I asked her to shorten my nails. She cut a tiny bit off and I told her it wasn't enough. She said don't worry I will file the rest. She didn't. All of my nails are different lengths. After putting on the powder filling she filed some of the nails down with a hand nail file again. No power tools. She told me she didn't know how to use them. I got a French manicure. With gel top coat. All of the lines are different widths I ask her to fix it and she scoffed at me. After drying she put on gel top coat. She smudged one of my nails in the process. I asked her to fix it she complained that I messed it up. I ended up leaving with out giving a tip. She pretended to not speak English when it was convenient and she didn't want to deal with something then complain to her manager. What's worse is that an hour after I left all of my nails were ruined. She put the gel top coat on before she should have so there are smudges on all of my nails. They were also all chipped by the next day because the gel coat was not applied properly. For $47 with out tip it was a huge waste of money. My regular salon in Brooklyn is about $30 and they take their time to do their job correctly and they aren't rude. read more
