I called Nancy at Brannon Stables and she was amazing. She took some time to understand what I was looking for before I made the drive to try out my first lesson. I arrived and and it was a great fit. She was patient, easy going and very good about correcting me (and understanding this was my first time on a horse). I started 4 weeks ago (from 0 experience) and today I can put the (english or western saddle on), start, trot, canter, turn (and most importantly stop). I highly recommend her.

I learned so much about the horses life after the track and how breeding works. We did the tour of the stallions, they also offer a tour of the baby's and mamas. It just depends on which you want to do because they are about a hour long. Be prepared to walk and for the unpredictable weather as parts are outside. It was so cool, we met freight line and he let us pet him. The staff was so sweet and knowledgeable and had brochures for us to take home which was so cool! I think any horse enthusiasts or even if you just want to enjoy and be a tourist in your state this would be amazing.

I appreciate that Gillian's standard of care for her animals is higher than most and she, Rob, and Octavio run Pine Knoll as a the most welcoming well-oiled machine for both horse and human. The barn was full of thoroughbred yearlings from some of the best sires and dams in racing history. We met trainer Kevin Notlemeyer and were very impressed with his knowledge and willingness to share how these unruly babies become conditioned and ready to move on to the next step in training for their racing careers. The grooms and exercise riders worked like a well oiled machine. Their skill, professionalism and teamwork was a treat to watch. We felt very blessed to have gotten a peek into this first-class operation. I could have spent the entire day on-site and hope to get the opportunity to make another visit.

One was a party day party that hosted about 100 people, there was a dance floor area and a DJ, the host hired the DJ, but you get the point. Another event that I've attend here was in the auditorium like area that I think at one time was where horse sales were. It reminded me of a big movie theatre. The seats were like from the 60s but weren't used often, so they weren't as it may sound. Another time, was when I attended a wedding reception. It was held in the back part. The floors were concrete and it was freezing. Between the outdated decor and the lack of heat, I'd still say if you're looking for a place to host a party, check this place out.

This store seems to have everything you could need for a horse. Saddles, bridles, leads, gloves…read more(for you, not the horse), antibiotics even. My FiL and I went here to get a huge long leash, Read:horse lead for his dog. We know almost nothing about horse apparel and accessories, so we were having a hard time finding exactly the right lead. The helpful lady behind the counter looked up what we needed after he described it, and came out to dig around the leads for us. We ended up leaving with a 35' horse lead, which we will be using to walk a dog. To her credit, the woman did not laugh or even bat an eye when he told her why we were buying a horse lead. These are very friendly people, and to my eye (which has no horse accessory buying experience) very fair prices.
