This very unassuming boutique restaurant is found in the most unlikeliest of places, nestled down a slightly rural, industrial road a bit tucked away from the beaten path, but oh my is it worth taking the path less traveled. We are here tonight for our second time on our way home from Birmingham to North Carolina and were just as delighted with our dinner as our first visit. Trust me, it's worth getting off the highway to eat here. The ambience is clean and hip with pleasant music in the background that's not too soft and not too loud. Cocktails are hand crafted and creative. Tonight my husband had the shrimp and grits. The shrimp were crispy on top of creamy grits, covered in gravy. I had the maple glazed salmon with red potato mash and grilled zucchini. Portions were also Goldilocks sized. Not too big and not too small. We had the candied jalapeño bacon as an appetizer. We went out for our 21st anniversary dinner but our original reservations were canceled due to a power outage at our destination. We went to Clover Harvest and were so glad we did! Staff and food were amazing. Ribeye cut like butter, fresh shrimp and the candy bacon was phenomenal. I'm a pretty big critic and they exceeded expectations in every plate and drink. After a wonderful time at the "Billy Graham Training Center - The Cove". We decided to take the scenic route home. While searching for a lunch destination, we came across this little gem of a restaurant in Clover. It is one street off hwy 321 and a must if you are in the area. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. Beautiful decor design. I like their idea of writing a Christmas card to all the military men and women serving our country.It was quite a delight for us to end our vacation on such a high note. Went for the first time tonight and I can't wait to go back! I had the Korean Chicken sandwich and it was awesome! The chicken was moist and well-seasoned with the perfect fry. The Korean sauce and slaw were the perfect condiments. The sweet potato fries were fluffy and crispy. The butterscotch pumpkin cake was lovely; moist and flavorful without being too sweet. The food, drinks, and dessert were amazing. The waiter/bartender told us the grits were the best he's ever had, and he was not lying. If you come in, definitely get the shrimp and grits. It's mostly grits, but you won't regret it. You may like them even if you don't like grits. The people are super friendly. Excellent new addition for Clover. Great service and food. It is best to go early for dinner on hot days as indoor seating is limited. Also, as it fills up at dinner time it can get really loud inside. My wife sat across from me at one of the small tables and we basically had to yell to hear one another. They can make smoked cocktails and I recommend the Elijah Craig Old Fashioned smoked. read more

So I just had dinner at this wonderfully welcoming restaurant.. Farm to to table... SPECTACULAR!!! The food is so nicely presented and the flavors were fabulous! We had the Cracked Pepper Rib-eye done to perfection.. they had zucchini and squash as the veggies..done amazingly with just the right char. The garlic smashed potatoes were delicious. This was our second visit to Clover Harvest. Once again, the food was delicious and the service by Thomas was excellent. Chef even prepared "The Rooster", a dish no longer on the menu, but one that my husband had thoroughly enjoyed the last time we were there. So, she made an exception. Our only complaint is that once the inside, main dining area was filled, the acoustics were terrible. Last time our party of 6 had sat on the porch and didn't have any problem. This time, our party of 4 were practically shouting to be heard. I'm not sure what can be done about this, but, unfortunately, it did put a damper on what could have been a delightful evening. I still recommend Clover Harvest, because all else is very well done. Even the restrooms are spotless, and very modern. read more

A wonderful visit to this charming local restaurant. A commitment to fresh, local food is evident in all of the dishes. In a beautiful renovated storefront, the welcome is warm and inviting. We had a large group and the service was outstanding. We tried every appetizer and they were all excellent. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the entrees and the ribeye was a big hit along with the chicken and waffles and shrimp and grits. Desserts we equally excellent with the carrot cake taking top honors with our group. The flourless chocolate cake was also a standout. Y'all!!!! This place is a must. My husband and I went tonight for the first time. Where to start? My husband had the smoked old fashioned and said it was one of the best he ever had. I had the mixed berry mojito and the watermelon margarita. All drinks were made with fresh ingredients they make all of their syrups and mixes. Fresh fruit and mint were used in the mojito. For a starter we split the charcuterie board. It was very generous portion of cheeses, meats, crackers, olives and blackberries. A lot of places you get a charcuterie board and they are stingy. Not here. My husband had the pork schnitzel which was very flavorful. I had the shrimp and grits. We both agree that those were the best grits we had ever eaten. Of course we couldn't leave without trying desert. I had the flourless chocolate cake. Whoa!!! My husband had the banana pudding. He said it was the best banana pudding he has ever had and he is a true southerner born and raised. The staff were friendly. They have a variety of seating options - indoor, outdoor, covered patio, and a great bar seating. Service at the bar with Thomas was wonderful, and all staff were so friendly and genuinely welcoming. It is so nice to find a place that offers creative cocktail options, and the watermelon and spicy margaritas were awesome. Now for the food - outstanding! We have too few restaurants in the area that strive to use local ingredients and patronize local farms and businesses the way Clover Harvest does. We shared the burger and Korean chicken sandwiches with sweet potato fries and smashed fingerling potatoes. Everything was absolutely delicious, and we enjoyed their unique take on ingredients. My only suggestion would be to grill the buns. Can't wait to go back and try the shrimp and grits and chicken and waffles! Clover Harvest is a much welcomed restaurant in a town with few options for food made from scratch. Wonderful flavors and a cute restaurant. I do wish they had more vegetarian/vegan options. Having the word "harvest" in their name, one would think they would be more veg friendly. I tried to order their sourdough pancakes with a vegetarian side but was told I could only choose from bacon or sausage. They said they could leave the meat off and charge me extra for a vegetarian side. Left a bad taste in my mouth. Also, certain meals cannot be ordered togo like the acai bowl or the banana pudding. I do look forward to seeing how this restaurant can grow and be more accommodating. read more

You wouldn't know going in there that this place has only been open a couple months. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating from the moment we walked in the door. Our waitress, Alyssa, took care of our every need and made sure to mention the special, a stuffed and loaded burger, that my dad said was the best burger in town. My wife and I had the roast chicken and my mom had the pork tenderloin, both were paired with the perfect sides. Everything was perfectly seasoned and the portions were just the right amount.
