While Homesense looks modern and tidy, Dunelm just looks really dated and terribly cluttered. But, if you can get past that then you've come to an Aladdin's cave of homewares. Certainly if I was looking for a new duvet or a pair of curtains, I now know the place to go. However, they do have good prices, and lots of choices. They did have a really small Christmas section though, which was a shame. If I needed something in particular, like new curtains, I'd definitely come here. But just to browse, it's a bit too much.

They sell ladies, mens and childrens clothing, glasswear, childrens toys and videos, jewellery, household items and lots more. Each item is clearly priced so you know exactly how much you'll be paying. Everything is in very good condition, and quite often items are new, still unopened and fully packaged. At present they are also selling a very wide range of Christmas cards. Definitely worth a look if you are on a budget and looking for good value presents, or clothes for yourself or your family, with the added feel-good factor of knowing you've helped out a really good charity.

I find treating the customer this way is contemptuous Today I returned a Masai cotton top which I bought a year ago, yes I know you are thinking well you have had it a year, yes and I would say the same if I had worn it every week and got my wear out of it, when in fact I had worn it only 5 times. I pointed this out to the store supervisor but she wasn't interested in that. She just kept saying well you have had it a year. Needless to say I did not get a refund but then knowing how they deal with returns I was not expecting one. Whilst I am on the subject I find the staff on the concession counters abysmal, they might a well have a do not disturb sign around their neck.

My wife and I ordered a bed from them at the start of December and were treated to what can only be described as excellent customer service. They went out of their way to show us the different options for colour in the bed we had chosen and after a request for a discount offered us the price that it would be in the Boxing Day sale! Delivery was originally quoted as early January but after a couple of phonecalls by their staff it was with us before Christmas. Unfortunately one small part of the bed had a mark on it when delivered but it was replaced with no fuss in a couple of days. They are pricey but you get what you pay for in the quality of the product and the wonderful service.
