This is an honest review of someone who knows Pakistani food. I drive from Calabasas and back just o try this food in Carson. Let me start: Ambience - nicely decorated. Very ethnic and colorful.I see people have more pick up and to go orders. I had a big pick up order Sunday. Food wise - everything we ordered was good. Except that ot was missing any sauces. No sauce for the samosa and no sauce for the Chicken Seekh kabob. Otherwise, I think it is ok. The goat Karahi was tender and authentic Pakistani flavors. The beef Nihari was also done well. The chicken Haleem is good and cooked very well - no raw flour taste- it was good. The chicken biryani was also flavorful and rice was done well. The butter chicken and the chicken tikka leg quarters were also tender and done well. Spice level was good. I've requested for some to be mild and some dishes Pakistani level of spice - done well. Garlic naan and the regular naan was good and portion is fair. The mango lassi was a let down. Please fix it. It lacks mango flavor and tasted chalky. I am not the only one here that said it. Pls fix its and the color looks so pale. Customer service - this is why I am only rating it a 4 star. The young lady taking orders and working Sunday - she needs to be more friendly. She seems like she doesn't care and is lacking customer service training. For the owner or chef - please train or re-orient her. She comes off as rude - although I don't think she is. She just comes off as that. She can definitely be trained to handle customers. I do recommend this place especially if you're looking for authentic flavors of Pakistan. I've asked the girl specifically where in Pakistan this cooking from and she's not answering me. She ignored me - maybe she didn't know her roots Go check it out.
What to say about Cloud Naan? Great name, instant plus. My friends and I love getting Indian food, so when choosing a place to host out reunion dinner, what better place than a local Pakistani spot? I arrived about 20 minutes late. Parking wasn't that much of a hassle, there's plenty of parking on the side street. Walking in, I was expecting to see my friends sitting down waiting for the food, but they were split up, with some at the tablet, others at the table. I was confused, even more so after hearing they hadn't even ordered yet. Apparently they were having difficulties with the Family Feast deal. Something with the drinks. Apparently you can only get up to 2 mango lassi's, but the (clearly AI generated) menu image showed four. Just concerning drinks: the mango lassi's we did have were yogurt heavy, and less mango. And it showed in the color being a paler yellow than we were used to. Wasn't sure if there was free chai or not, that was not explained. Also, the jug in the room (with cups next to it) is just for decoration and not actually for water to our disappointment. We went the whole meal without water. The food was fine. The chicken biryani had great flavor; we are used to spitting out the bones, but this biryani, especially, not only had lots of bones, but bone shards as well. They are generous with the naan, but they are really thick and on the softer side, almost like a pita. It was quite one toned at times; I would definitely recommend getting dishes that are not all the same protein to mix it up. The side salad seemed like an afterthought; sad-looking in general. Also the decorations were nice and colorful, but I wish they were playing some kind of music. At times it felt very silent, especially for such a vibrant setting. In the end? Not "Cloud Naan", but maybe "Cloud Four or Five".
Cloud Naan was a 10/10 experience! It was our first time trying Pakistani cuisine and this was the perfect place to get our introduction. The interior is decorated in such a fun and inviting way, with little touches of outdoor Pakistani design. My favorite were the colorful umbrellas on the ceiling and little wicker stools around the restaurant When you arrive, you can order from their digital kiosk for dine in and take away My aunt and I got their signature Pakistani dishes beef haleem and chicken karahi...the latter being our favorite. And we didn't skip out on the carbs...we ordered garlic naan, beef naan, plain naan and paratha. All we're stellar The staff is extremely lovely! The owner came up to every table to welcome us and our server Tanya was so kind and attentive We will definitely be back to try more of their dishes soon!
The Vibe: A colorful, fast-casual hidden gem with unique seating options, including platforms for sitting cross-legged. Easy side street parking and the service was quick since it's a self order kiosk then they bring the food out to you The Standouts: Massive portions for all the dishes. The Chicken Tikka and Naan are fantastic. The Biryani is enough for two meals. Elite Tips: The staff is incredibly kind; they even brought out free appetizers while we waited. Expect a 15-20 minute wait for food because everything is fresh.
I have been seeing Cloud Naan on my Yelp whenever i''m looking for somewhere local to eat and it caught my eye because i've never seen it before. I came for dinner and wow!! Everything was so yummy. I also got a Mango Lassi to top it off :) You order at the self-order kiosk, grab a table, and they bring the food out to you. The staff is so sweet and checks up on you to see how you are liking the food. I highly recommend coming to try Cloud Naan if you're in Carson or nearby!
Delicious and quick, friendly service! Butter chicken was tender and juicy, and the garlic naan was perfect. Excellent experience.
Cloud Naan was a spot I heard about from a coworker, so a few of us decided to check it out for lunch and it did not disappoint. We ordered the butter chicken with garlic naan and rice, and the portions were huge. Honestly, two orders were enough to feed our group of seven. The butter chicken was rich and flavorful, and pairing it with the garlic naan made it even better. The naan was so good that it disappeared fast -- definitely recommend getting at least one per person if you're a fan. Ordering was simple through a kiosk, and the food was brought out to our table pretty quickly. The service stood out too, the staff was really friendly and even offered us chai while we waited, which was a nice touch and made the experience feel more welcoming. The ambiance was great as well. The space is nicely decorated and has a warm, inviting feel that makes it a comfortable place to sit and enjoy a meal. Overall, this is a great lunch spot, especially for groups since the portions are so generous. I'd definitely come back again.
Today I had lunch at this hidden gem in Carson. It's a Pakistani restaurant specializing in BBQ. I had the mutton combo which came with a huge naan bread and salad, and some samosas. The food was delicious and had a little spicy kick. The naan was delicious as were the samosas. It's nothing fancy and there was ample seating in a colorfully decorated restaurant. I think they mainly have a lot of take out and deliveries as I was dining alone at lunchtime. I would love it if they ever had a buffet which would introduce people to their various menu items or a combination with different offerings. The service was friendly and they refilled my chai tea which was complimentary. I'll be back to try the other barbecue items.
Beef Naan Wrap 10/10 Customer Service The atmosphere was culturally expressed, loved it would definitely recommend!
We were really excited to come here after seeing the reviews and craving food with South Asian flavors. The food itself is definitely carrying the review. Food: 5/5. Absolutely delicious butter chicken, garlic naan, and chicken tikka. They are not shy with the spices--each dish was PACKED with flavor. The butter chicken has just the right amount kick, the chicken was delicious and tender, and was a huge portion. The naan was the perfect texture, large serving, and wonderfully buttery. The chicken tikka was pretty spicy, but tolerable, and tender as can be. The servicing size of this specifically I thought was a little small for the price, but we accidentally ordered so much food that it didn't matter lol. Mango lassi was a delicious sweet pairing to counter the heat. Excellent consistency, super refreshing. We came on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch/early dinner. There were 2-3 parties aside from us. I didn't really enjoy ordering from the kiosk, I prefer speaking to a server about the food and getting their insight on certain things. You do have to pay before you get the food, and if you're including a tip you add that before ever getting served (if paying my card). Felt a little backwards. Service: 3/5 and that's being generous. I will give grace because it looked like there was only one person serving the whole restaurant. But silverware and plates weren't set (eventually they brought us some in a stack and we had to distribute it to ourselves), we had to grab our own drinks from the fridge (they didn't tell us, so we sat there for 20 min before realizing). And we weren't checked on except for when they brought something out. And the food, although outstanding, took about 40 min to arrive the table. That's a long time for any restaurant. I don't know how many chefs there were, maybe they were swamped with takeout but there was only a couple other people in the restaurant. Maybe it was just an off day. Decor: Outside looks rough, but inside is nicely decorated. A hidden gem as some say. NO air conditioning though, he warned. It was pretty warm but they had fans going so we tolerated it, but barely. All in all, give it a shot if you want some delicious food! Would come back again, for sure. The food itself was worth it. Great meal and plenty left over for later!
Very flavorful! I'm a sucker for restaurants that offer a warm, cozy vibe while staying open late and Cloud Naan delivers. So the service is a bit DIY; you walk in and there's a huge digital screen where you place your order. After that, it's self-seating. So, it's a mixture of a restaurant and fast-casual. For example, you receive your food on metal bowls/plates but then your utensils and cups are disposable. If they elevate the experience a bit to offer metal forks and ceramic cups, I think it'd make everything just a bit nicer. Anyways, I think first-timers should order from the Combo section. We ordered the butter chicken combo and the mutton karahi combo and I believe it's enough to feed roughly 3 people. For the value you get, that's pretty darn good IMO ($15 + $19 by themselves, but we added on the kashimiri tea and garlic naan). The mutton karahi was AMAZING. I've never had this Pakistani dish, but oh my goodness. Super flavorful and tender meat. My biggest gripe is that there's bones--which isn't unexpected, but there were some instances where some bones were broken off and made tiny little shards. Definitely be a bit more careful when eating this. The butter chicken was also great; just as you'd expect as other spots that serve this. The salad was perfectly seasoned and everything wasn't too spicy. I loved the ambiance; there's a few low tables and a few regular-height benches. The entire place is decorated really well and it makes the place feel more vibey. There's even a Carrom table, which was being played by another party. Next time I'd definitely want to try playing it! Overall, I'd definitely come back. The food tasted so good and I want to try more of the menu.
The food was delicious! The portions are surprisingly huge! We ordered the butter chicken combo, samosas, jalapeño cheese naan and beef keema naan. The jalepeno naan was BOMB, we didn't know how much naan to expect so we ordered the beef one. Both were great but definitely get the jalepeno cheese one! The butter chicken combo was such a great deal! The portion is plenty for 2. It was savory and had great flavors! The dining area was so cute and pretty, we were glad that we chose to dine in instead of takeout like we originally planned. The service was friendly and our server was really sweet. I would definitely come back and bring friends to try more of the other items!
Called to place an order for carry out and they played in my face. Butter chicken should have been $20 each but they charged me almost $28 per !!! AND WHAT IS THAT SERVICE CHARGE, I literally picked up my own food. I used to come all the time but I'm never coming back, robbed me in broad daylight. So sad. Update: The owner reached out to me privately to rectify the situation. He apologized and made it right; I was inappropriately charged. I've updated my review based off his timely response. I will be back because the food is amazing and service is always great. Final update when I return !!

The owner was very accommodating with my food allergies and always checked to see if I was alright. The mutton karahi meal I had was excellent and the Naan that came with it was flaky, buttery, hot, and fresh! The resteraunt is beautifully decorated and authentic! I will definitely come back, thank you! read more
Okay... 1st, let me explain my 3 stars! In this case, it's not necessarily extremely bad, because a part of me wants to come back and actually try their other foods; possibly eat inside and try it super fresh! So... the 1st time I tried to go here, online on Yelp it said it closed at a certain time at a particular day, but when I went.... despite it saying that they're open, they were CLOSED! I was like "wtf?". On top of that, parking is a crap shoot. Either you find parking or you don't, depending on what time you try to come through. I ordered either their Chicken Tikka Masala or Butter Chicken. Whatever it was, I paid around $20 or so. Inside, I actually kind of like all the cool decorations with the umbrellas and cultural art around. They even got a random carrom board like... a professional one too! The 2 young ladies who helped me in the counter were really nice when I picked up my food. Got home, tried the food, but I expected a little bit more taste and a little bit more chicken for what I paid. Unlike some other Indian spots, I didn't get any complimentary side stuff/samples. Honestly thought with them being called "Cloud Naan", that I and others would get complimentary naan bread to go, but I didn't get any naan or biryani rice like some other cool Indian places I go to; this was the 1st/only place that did this. Totally down to give this place another try and who knows!? I might enjoy more of the other future foods I want to try. If it's open via their normal, regular online posted hours when I'm free, then I'm totally down to give Cloud Naan another shot!! read more

In the midst of Carson's Filipino Town & cuisine lies a hidden gem that can surpass other great dining experiences near by! If you have an adventurous & curious palate and want to try something new or familiar to excite your senses... you must come dine here! The decor & atmosphere are unique and truly India; vibrant colors from the walls to the ceiling and decorative pieces that are Instagram & Facebook worthy from a selfie to a wide shot! The ordering experience is modern & impersonal, with a machine... Classic diners prefer a person explaining and recommending main & side dishes. The pictures on the order screen are nice with descriptions but they're not open for more detailed information. The food items are delightfully tasty & surprisingly generous! A side of basmati rice and na'an were greatly appreciated and expressly consumed with our meal, with plenty left to take home!=o) We ordered the butter chicken combo which might be food to share by 2 people, it was amazing! It was spicy smooth and kinda like butter... ergo, the name? LoL!=ox It came with perfectly cooked basmati white rice & side salad made with greens & sliced onions. The red table sauce is great with it along with the dishes too. The white table sauce is similar to ranch but mild. It might go well with the beef kabab too. The chicken Haleem was very saucy & tasty but not much chicken in it (perhaps shredded)... the spiciness and the delightful strips of ginger made it great! The Gola minced beef kabab is uniquely tastier than Mediterranean & Persian versions, rich with spices & full of flavor! Service is good, fast, & efficient. Madju (please pardon the misspelling if any) took time to answer our many curious questions including pronouncing & spelling her name... I had to spill the beans that it was for this review and also another reason why we ordered so much. I didn't want her to think I was hitting on her!=ox Anyways, Chai (tea) is both complimentary & complementary; it's free and goes great with the meal! Ask for water and they might point you to their collection of drinks in a tall refrigerator near the reception/cashier's desk. Thankfully we were given a complimentary bottled water, in plastic. A charge for one may have knocked this review down one star!=ox We ordered enough to at least get some free water too... Another improvement at the reception is to politely greet customers as they come in while they are being directed towards the computerized ordering system with a choice, an option of "if you need additional information about any menu items or help with ordering, please feel free to ask me." The last part in that prior sentence can be saved for those who visibly struggle with their orders. There are many more adventurous palates in the older generations who are not tech savy and are mostly short in patience... Besides, many nearby local restaurants have overtly joyful & receptive service, LoL! After this dining experience, Cloud Na'an has climbed up near the top of our lists as a highly recommended dining facility worthy of frequent visits with Families & Friends! They have great food & service and a unique & surprisingly amazing ambiance! Come on in, enjoy and you'll be coming back for more! read more

Fantastic food and service We had a beef dish chaply kabab and the chicken tekka and sme Naan Some of the best I've had Madhu was so friendly and attentive The music was relaxing The only suggestion is that they should match their decor with their name As the decor is very old style and their name cloud Naan is so modern Also their prices are reasonable read more

probably one of the worst experiences i've had in a while. ordered the "beef haleem" and butter chicken combo. 1) The "Beef" was definitely chicken despite me asking and insisting it was chicken. 2) the butter chicken was cold when served and there were only a few pieces of chicken. And the chicken was green? 3) The salad had no dressing. It was lukewarm greens mix with nothing on it. Not sure how this place has so many positive reviews. Would not recommend coming here! read more

My dad & I wanted to try a new lunch place & Cloud Naan for the bill! The service was friendly and efficient, we also got try a complimentary chai, garbanzo bean/chickpea side dish & rice pudding along with our mixed chicken plate, garlic naan & basmati rice. I ordered butter chicken & chicken parantha roll to try for dinner. Lovers of spice will be delighted & if you have a more mild palate, try a mango lassi to help offset Will definitely be back again! read more

I was craving butter chicken and remembered it was really good the last time I got it. I ordered the butter chicken ($26) today but it didn't taste like butter chicken at all. I'm pretty sure they just threw in old chicken tikka into the sauce and called it a day. Was very disappointed with the portion for $26. Last time I got the combo and it was literally the same size and $10. This place is definitely a hit or miss. They usually forget the salad when you order a combo so make sure to check before you leave. The samosa was really good tho. read more

We came a little after 4:30pm for dinner. As soon as we entered, we were greeted with a welcome smile. The young lady showed us where order our food off the kiosk before taking a seat. Ambiance is very colorful and festive. You see all kinds of Pakistani decor throughout the restaurant. The food was family style. Our waiter served us chai tea while we waited for our food. We ordered Samosas, veg of the day, rice, and garlic naan. All the food was delicious! If you're looking for a small, quaint place to enjoy some Indian, try Cloud Naan! read more

I've been here twice the past two weeks and the food is consistently amazing. The price is definitely worth the food. Service is very nice, laid back and accommodating. Wow!! I was a little skeptical at first but I am so glad I decided to go out of my work come down to Cloud Naan. First thing you will notice is the amazing decor. You feel like you just stepped in to a Bollywood movie with all the bright colors screaming to get your attention. This is a modern Indian restaurant so go straight to the kiosk and put in your order before you find a seat. The chicken tikka is well seasoned with a lot of spices, and a kick of spiciness so be aware (not for small children). The chicken is perfectly grilled but still retains all the juices and seasoning deap within. Definitely a must try. The butter chicken curry was also super delicious with a creamy thick curry sauce that just coats each individual grain of rice and naan you introduce to it. Definitely get a side of basmatti rice (enough for 3-4) and get the garlic naan that's freshly baked. The prices are high but keep in kind each dish is enough for 3-4 people and definitely something to share. They have lunch specials as well so definitely give them a try if you need that Indian food fix. I will definitely be back to try their other menu items. read more

I seen another creator post this place on TikTok and I've been craving it ever since. I didn't know this place existed, it's literally 10 minutes away from my house. This is "Cloud Naan Urban Desi BBQ" this place is in Carson California. 424 East Carson Street, Carson, CA 90745. They described themselves as a Pakistani, barbecue, kebab type restaurant. very cute boutique vibe on the inside. When I arrived, it was pretty empty. They had one person in the front, assuming it was the hostess. This place doesn't pass out menus like a traditional restaurant. You order your food from a kiosk, I kinda liked it because they had photos of what you were ordering and it was easy to edit if you changed your mind. you pay upfront so you could literally leave when you're done eating. They only have one so on a busy day I can see how that would be a problem. It was pretty dead when I got there so it was fine. All I can say is flavor flavor flavor. I started with their samosas They were warm, fluffy and flavorful by themselves. Just delicious. Dip them in that butter chicken sauce you just elevated this little triangle puff to 10! The Butter chicken combo came with the side of the white rice. By itself, it was fluffy and flavorful. Top it with the butter, chicken and sauce, and Wow! the perfect combo the butter chicken was creamy and flavorful. It was like you could taste all of the spices they weren't overpowering. They were perfect. Just a great dish overall. I also got Paratha Roll (Beef) this was flavorful and well balanced. The meat wasn't dry. You could taste all of the aromatics and spices a really nice dish. Like everything else pour a little of that butter chicken sauce on top of it and that elevated this wrap to a 10. if you haven't already figured it out by now if you stop by here, make sure you get the butter chicken. everything else is great as well. I'm not gonna take away from those dishes, but that butter chicken we ended our meal with their tea, which was very pleasant. I spent about $58 and it was worth every penny. Make sure you guys stop by you won't regret it. @clou@cloud naan Urban Desi BBQd#foodt#butterchickeno#samosa read more
