The kind you wished everyone stumbled into upon arriving in Houston. You get a sense of both a mini bodega and a smoke shop when you walk in. The low hum of a beverage cooler hoarding a variety of interesting drinks is what speaks to you first, then a quick glance around and it seems everything is pulling you towards it to take a look. That's the cool thing about these kind of shops, you don't really know what you'll stumble upon, what your eyes will land on before anyone else. My first time was about 2 years ago, and I came back recently only for the inside to have expanded and now people can enjoy yummy daiquiris as well in a laid back dining room. I've came in while one of the employees was jamming their oldies' mix and it honestly felt like a little break from the world. A little time out. I love places like these in the way they hold space. Highly recommend if you want to interact with a human being. Highly recommend if you don't want to interact with a human but still wanna feel human. Great location, 5 minute or less drive from Downtown, or Montrose Houston, TX. I went in to browse and ended up leaving with not only a new waterpipe, grinder and vaporizer. The young hippie employee explained the difference between oils and concentrates verses electronic vapor vaporizers. He took time to help me understand the quality diference between what I currently had and what I bought. He called somebody and out of pure kindness hooked me up with a discount for buying the waterpipe(and gave me a free(really cool) CD, who does that?). I came back the next day to see what he was talking about with the electronic vapor vaporizers he said they will help me quit the cigarettes. I went with his suggestion, and then he let me personalize pick out my own flavor and strength of oil. He offered to setup my vaporizer and get me vaping before i left the store, it was customer service to the top notch, especially for a smoke shop. I was looking for a tip jar when I was leaving and he said "no tip, come back and visit us" wow. They have a very big selection, but the employee assistance helps you decide easier and ween out the good products from the okay products. read more

My Sister and I are visitors to Houston. We happened to come across a small shop called "Cloud 9", I was very impressed by both of the gentlemen that assisted us with our questions and concerns. Very friendly atmosphere and all that I was looking for with good prices. Doctor told me to quit smoking, so I was looking for something safe to replace cigs. I found some flavored hookas. (small like cigs) Love the blueberry Mist!!! They even special ordered a unique item for my Sister. We will certainly be sure to stop there again on our next visit to Houston. We even were given free T-shirts! Be sure to visit and give them a try, You will be happily surprised! read more

ALL SMOKERS PLEASE NOTE ALL FAKE REVIEWS OF THIS PLACE..the staff does not know how to speak English and needs to but some deodorant. The only reason I'm giving them one star is because you can't give them zero. I went into this smoke shop last night only for them to refuse selling me the hookah hose that I wanted. It was like the person at the register couldn't listen effectively or something. I told him over 5 times which hookah hose I wanted and he still rang me up for the wrong one. After he handed me the one I specifically told him I DID NOT want (which was a measly temporary hookah hose that's disposable), I had to re-explain that was not the one I wanted. And do you know this person had the audacity to ask which one I wanted after he had already been told 5 times? He put his hand on the one I wanted and then still gave me the one he pretty much thought I should have. I promise it was almost like he was on drugs or something. I would never go back to the smoke shop as far as I'm concerned they owe me the money I paid for this object that I don't want.
