I had my first ever mani-pedi at Cloud 9 Nail Salon in Acworth and they did a great job. My hands and feet have never looked better. Thank you, specifically to Misty, for doing such wonderful work on my nails! We visited on a Saturday morning around 10am, right after the shop opened. It got busy quick. My fiancee and I were headed to a wedding that evening as were at least two other customers around us. We both each got the Classic Pedicure ($26 per person) followed by the Classic Manicure ($15 per person) and were at the shop for about 1.5 hours. It was a pretty straightforward process, but involved many steps that involved several tools and products like cuticle softener, nail vitamin, and lotion. Misty worked on me while co-owner Ariel worked on my fiancee. I have known Ariel for about five years now and she has extensive training and experience in the nail and beauty industry. She's a real professional. The Classic Pedicure consists of cleaning and reshaping of toenails, cuticle trim, light callus removal, massage, and polish. The Classic Manicure consists of cleaning and reshaping of fingernails, cuticle trim, massage, and polish. Since my fiancee got nail polish on her hands and feet (I did not), Misty spent extra time giving me foot/lower leg and hand/forearm massages. They felt really good. Misty had a fine attention to detail throughout all steps, from trimming my cuticles to filing my nails. What I appreciate most is how clean and well-groomed my fingers and toes look. It's incredible. I've never seen them look so perfect. The callus removal tickled a bit. The chairs have massage capability and you keep your feet in a small tub of hot water at the bottom. The tub has jets so it's like a mini Jacuzzi for your feet. It's super comfortable and relaxing. I could've fallen asleep to be honest, but I stayed awake because I was fascinated by the entire process (and admittedly, since it was my first time, a bit overwhelmed). I even got a little bit of hot towel treatment at the end, as if I was at a spa. My fiancee liked that the shop had good ventilation and didn't smell like chemicals. The shop is cute, clean, and has seasonal decor. There are free self-serve refreshments at the front. During our visit, that included chocolate chip cookies, candy, and a fridge full of Coke products. There are eight chairs in the back. Wi-Fi too; password is 6786539675. Service was terrific. This was my first time meeting Misty and I can see why clients like her. Not only does she do a fantastic job, but she also has a very funny and affable personality. I had a lot of fun talking to her throughout the session. Currently, she's off Mondays and Wednesdays for school. Tips are accepted via cash or Venmo to @cloud9nailspa. If only Cloud 9 was located closer to Atlanta, we'd come more often. The city of Acworth is lucky to have Ariel, Luckie (other co-owner), and the rest of their team in town. Well it was good while it lasted...I started going to this salon over a year ago for gel manicures and pedicures. I even sent my husband for pedicures. I never had any issues until prior to this Thanksgiving. I had an appt for 5, didn't get seated until almost 6 while other clients were seated before me. I chalked it up to them just being busy but I noticed as the only black person there... I returned to get a gel buildout removed and it was an awful experience! First I made the appt for 5, I walked in and was told my appt was at 4. I said no, I made it for 5. Then the gentleman ( I think Derrick was his name) tells me again I made it for 4. I then had to explain there was no way I made an appt for 4 since I'm not available at that time...next I finally get seated at 5:30 and my hands, not only nails but the whole hand, are soaked in acetone for at least 30 mins! My hands started to burn so I removed them which led him to actually come back to my station. He then puts my hands back for a few more mins and then files the top of my natural nail ...why?! The gel is off. Next he hands me off to another tech who files the top of my natural nails again...my nails are paper thin at this point! I get asked again if I'm doing a gel manicure, again I state I only want clear polish. If you aren't getting an expensive nail service and they don't "know" you, my experience from yesterday is that they treat you and your nails like crap...I won't be back. I've been there countless times and each time, they act like I've never been there. Which is fine, but I notice how they cater and interact with other customers they "know" vs me who has been there several times and get asked my name and who did my nails each time I come back. Wanted to love this place because it is very close to my house. Gave it a try last Friday. I did have an appointment for a gel polish application. I believe it was the owner that did my nails. He was very rushed and distracted, answering calls and checking people out during my service. Finally towards the end he left me and worked on another client that returned from the day before after she messed her nails up at home. After he left me he did not offer to file my nails or apply oil. Basically said I was good to go... sadly the polish cracked over the weekend and today it's chipped. The polish did not even last a week. I'm very disappointed at their service and the outcome. Will not be returning. Can't believe I left a tip. read more

We love Cloud 9! I found them because I was dissatisfied with all of the local salons; my nails didn't even get through a week before they looked shabby or otherwise broke. This is my place now. Every tech at Cloud 9 is quality and my nails last three weeks (SNS). They are appointment only, but I love it as I work my nail appointment around my work aches and know I won't have to wait in a crowded salon. My two daughters and I are hooked on Cloud 9. Pretty average nail salon. I hate to be the one to just give a decent review, but that's kind of what it was. This nail salon has a lot of 4-5 star reviews and I can see why. It's clean, friendly, and urgent to the clients. I am only giving it a 3 star because no one seems to really know how to do SNS nails (dip nails). I've had 2 different technicians apply and repair my SNS nails and both just seemed to be still learning or don't know how to do it. I've had SNS done at other nail salons and Cloud 9 still seems to be pretty "new" at doing it. I left the first time paying about $50 dollars for an "okay" job. They didn't look very ombré and were uneven and bumpy in some areas. The female technician seemed to be very rushed while doing my nails and one hand is lighter in color compared to the other. Repairs are free is anyone is wondering. I had one nail pop off while I was at work and was extremely shocked, because I have never had SNS fall off before. I got it fixed by male technician who looked very confused on how to do it. He had to ask his coworkers a few times on how to do it and if it looked okay. Overall, you get a decent set of nails here for the price it is set at. If you're looking to go all out and have high expectations for nails... probably try another place read more

After looking at reviews online I decided to come to Cloud 9 for a much needed pedi. They were able to squeeze me in, seeing it was spur of the moment. The girl, (I believe her name is Luckie) did an amazing job. She made me very comfortable and was very attentive to my needs. I definitely recommend and will be back! If you go ask for Sunny to do your nails but I am pretty sure all of them know their stuff. Sunny though he is funny and made my nails look amazing. It's been a long time since I have been happy with my nails. They all are laughing and interacting with the customers which is important. I truly am a customer for life!! The prices are fair for SNS and they just made this girl happy. I went in for a polish change recently and was very pleased with this place. I've been looking for a new nail salon and actually drove out of my way to go here because it's the only nail salon with decent reviews in the area. I loved that they had air filters running, made me feel like they care about the air we (customers and staff) are breathing in. Also, they took my info because they do a rewards program, which is nice. I always like to save a few bucks for being a loyal customer. The only "complaint" I had was regarding the wait. They told me 5 minutes, but I waited probably 15-20. I know, first world problem! But I'd rather you just tell me it's going to be 15-20 minutes because it leaves a bad impression when I feel like I'm being lied to just so I stick around. read more
