Messy but delicious! I honestly Forgot which sandwich I got but it's the one with the Italian cold cut meats and it was delightful! My friend got the London something LOL I don't remember what they were called but this one was extremely saucey and both of our sandwiches were literally everywhere by the time we were done. Delicious nonetheless. Definitely recommend if you are looking to enjoy a nice lunch :)

WOW! All the plates in saw walking into the cute deli vibe with tables and chairs both inside and out looked so delish. When I got my meal, I was delighted. It is SO DELICIOUS. The service was impeccable, offering me a great sub for an item that had run out. Great staff. Thank you!!!

12/26/2025 Hubby and I were looking for a light dinner of soup or salad as we drove into San Diego in the current rain storm. We bypassed Panera and found this deli. This quaint corner little deli had indoor and outdoor seating. The employee/owner? Was so friendly welcoming us in and making sure we were comfortable to ask any questions about the menu items. Our soup and salad went out the window when we saw the "Low Carb Plate". We chose the steak option (+$4) and had broccoli and asparagus as our two vegetables. Then I chose clam chowder as our side. Hubby grabbed a pasta salad from the fridge but it was okay. Nothing as impressive as our dinner. The steak was tender, seasoned and cooked well. The asparagus and broccoli were grilled just as my hubby likes it. The clam chowder was creamy and had good flavor. There were pieces of clam, potato, and celery in each spoonful...until I ate them all. There were so many options for dinner aside from sandwiches, salads, and wraps. We thought we were going to grab a slice of cake for dessert, but we were actually full and didn't get one. Maybe we'll stop by another time this weekend. But don't sleep on this place! It was pretty busy as we sat inside to eat. People were continuously ordering and picking up take out orders. The employee/owner took the time to check in on us between customers and orders.

Opted for their protein plate. Filet mignon, broccoli and mushrooms with a side of ceazar salad. The place is particularly busy for the lunch hour. I enjoyed the plate lunch and they cooked everything perfectly. Meat and veggies not overly cooked. Deli has variety of chips, drinks, family friendly menu and indoor or outdoor seating.

Great little spot next to the Padres arcade parking structure. Roughly a dozen seats with a few inside but a great outside seating area so you want people watch. The sandwich my daughter and I split ahead of the game was fantastic - everything was fresh. Service was great too - food was at our table in less than 10 mins. Really took some convincing to use their bathroom, which I was not a fan of because the floors feel permanently greasy.

Just started working in downtown so I've been exploring all of the lunch options and have gone back to this place twice now. Tried the godfather and the chipotle wrap so far. This place dont miss. Might be my new go-to. Can get busy during the lunch hour and food does take a little while but prob cuz its so damn fresh. Look at that mf wrap tho

Great corner location near Petco Park. The staff was friendly and the menu was very comprehensive offering any and every sandwich or salad option. I stopped in for lunch today and ordered their Turkey Club, and it did not disappoint. The sandwich included many layers and did not skim on the ingredients. The balance of flavors and textures was ideal for a sandwich with so much going on. I'll be back again and sample something else from the menu.

Solid breakfast spot, we needed something quick and good and the place checked both boxes. Come check them out. Team was nice. place was comfortable to sit down and eat in.

This place is such a gem!!! They have something for everyone! We ordered a wide range of sandwiches and all of them were amazing! You never know what to expect when you visit somewhere with an extensive menu- however Cloud 9 lived up to its name as everything was so good! The service was great- the cashier helped answer questions and was really patient with my indecisiveness. The food took some time to arrive but it felt quite reasonable. There is limited seating inside but more available outside with heat lamps if you get cold. I loved this place and I'll be back for more.

Been coming here for a while, always a big big line, even the owner wishes another sandwich shop would open close by to make the long long lines away just a little. Extremely delicious sandwiches. You need to ask about the wait time for the B 4 order.

The deli offers a great selection of food. Never disappointed with the quality and taste. Con: It does take a while. During lunch or day time games, there may be a longer wait. Recommend ordering at least 30 mins in advance. Staff is very nice. Deli is at corner.

Went to Cloud 9 Deli earlier in the month after a race in Downtown. The breakfast sandwich was so good! It was nice to eat here after finishing a race. The staff are very friendly here. There are lots of sandwiches on the menu and hoping to try more options next time.

Pretty darn good sando BUT highly recommend you order ahead or prepare to wait. Placed my order at 12:17 (fully acknowledge this qualifies as lunch rush time) and didn't walk out with my to-go sandwich until 12:53. They warned me it would take about 15 min which I was fine with but nearly 40 minutes for a lunch spot downtown is pretty wild. Besides myself there were several other antsy people waiting. I had the steak sandwich and I will say, it was delicious.

I told my friend the food was worth the wait. After an hour we got sat at the bar and our first server was friendly. There was a transition of servers (not sure if he left for the day or went on lunch) and the new server would check on everyone at the bar except us. My water remained empty for most of the meal. The bartenders in front of us were clearly having a conversation and I didn't want to interrupt. My friend claimed her Irish coffee was sour? And didn't realize cheese came on a side of eggs (she should've checked when she ordered but the server never clarified either). We weren't checked on during the meal until the bill came and by then we just wanted to leave. I ordered the fluffy pancakes and found an egg shell inside. The cracking of eggshells in my mouth made me loose my appetite. We paid (still tipped of course) and left. It was great the first time and mediocre the second time. I prefer consistently in service, especially if I'm waiting an hour to be seated.

We had spent most of the day around Bankers Hill and decided to grab an early dinner at Books & Records. Getting reservations was easy, but from the moment we walked in, the ambiance alone already had us sold. The place was still pretty quiet when we arrived, and to our surprise it was happy hour, so naturally we ordered a bunch of items off the menu along with drinks. Everything was ridiculously good. Not one miss. What really stood out though was the attention to detail. The host brought us a complimentary glass of champagne after hearing we were celebrating our anniversary. Small gesture, big impact. Stuff like that matters. As the night went on, the restaurant filled up, live music started playing, and the whole atmosphere just came alive. Our waiter never rushed us once, which made the experience feel even more intentional and relaxed. We were able to actually enjoy the moment instead of feeling pushed through dinner service. Good food is one thing. Great hospitality is another. This place gave us both. Next time we're in San Diego, we're absolutely making it a point to come back. Lovely spot. Lovely experience.

There was several couples seated at the bar area but lots of open high tables in the middle and a large party seated on the side. I quickly noticed too on the way inside that there's about 3 different sections of seating for people so they must get very packed!!! We sat at the high table next to where I think a live band would be performing, since there was a spot nearby with a bunch of wiring going on. Definitely looks amazing inside with the decor and furniture of the spot adding some pleasant vibes. I don't think there's that much, but there are just enough records and books when you look around (and also use the restroom). This spot seems to be best for those who want to drink with their meals. We didn't drink this time around because we had a long drive back to LA. We absolutely enjoyed the Pork Belly Bao Buns and utilized the happy hour deal to enjoy it with a side of their deliciously crisp fries. The flat iron steak was also very yummy and left us wanting to eat more... Yeah, if you're the type to need a lot to be filled up you either need to pay another entree to eat more or eat some dessert afterwards. Anyways, this spot was perfect for a date night and we were treated very well by the staff and our server!!!

So I am glad we decided to share the biscuits and gravy but let me run down each thing. Bloody Mary Flight: Honestly every single one was amazing. My favorite was definitely the pickle Mary! Everything tasted so delicious and was garnished beautifully. Well worth the 22 dollars. Biscuits and Gravy: Absolute perfection of comfort food. The biscuits were so fluffy and well seasoned. The gravy was also soooo good, just like my mom makes. The sausage in it was also cooked so well and juicy. I've never tried mashed potatoes with the biscuits and gravy but it worked very well! Orange Juice: Not a fan really, not pulpy enough and I wasn't a fan of the flavor. Overall this is definitely a must visit! I will definitely be back.

"Over medium" eggs came barely cooked, still had clear egg gel floating around. The table next to us had the same issue. The fried chicken, which is beautiful looking, was strangely flavorless. Another table was also talking about this issue. Bacon was way overcooked as well. I also really dislike when food timing for a table is way off. I rather it stay in the kitchen under a heat lamp and come together rather that spend 5 minutes staring at my food being polite. So, for a fun "wow that's a ton of food" experience this is it. But I much prefer quality ingredients and attention to detail and flavor over unfinishable portions at a premium price point ($100 after tip for 2 ppl).
