I owe a huge thanks to Yelp for introducing me to Cloud 9. I tasted her sweet confectionary goodness at a Yelp Elite event and I was wooed over with her delicious cupcakes. Since her brick and mortar store isn't open just yet, all communication for my order was done via email. I placed an order for 24 guava cupcakes (there is a 2 dozen minimum flavor order) for a bridal shower I was hosting. They were a huge hit. They were quite moist and the guava flavor was pronounced but not repugnant. I have also tried her rum cupcakes and they are amazing! I definitely was happy with how things turned out and how accommodating Kristen was. She is supposed to be opening shop this spring in Pinecrest and I know I will be making the trek there to savor more of her sweet confections! read more

Let me preface this review by stating that I haven't tried their bakery goods. However... I just left this bakery VERY disappointed with their customer service. I walked in with expectations after reading such nice reviews that were not even close to being met. Needing 24 cupcakes or a cake for an impromptu gathering I knew my options would be limited but thought for sure that anyplace that charges $1.85 for a bite of a cupcake could surely try to help a girl out....but I was received with a smile until I asked for what I needed. First of all, I was offered the 24 cupcakes on display and when I asked if they were fresh she nodded yes...but i could tell she didn't believe her answer. So I asked if they were made today and she sarcastically answered with a question, "Do they need to be made today to be fresh?" The cake I had dreamt up for my wedding was a little unusual, but Kristen executed my vision PER-FECT-LY. It was 100% what I wanted. She even made a little personalized cupcake I had requested for one of my guests whose birthday it was. The cake tied the aesthetic of the wedding together and the design was spot-on. Aside from the fact that the design was perfect, the cake tasted out-of-this-world. I'm a red velvet fiend, and not only was it the best red velvet I've ever had, but it was also the BEST CAKE I've ever had in my life, period (and I heard the same from a few guests!). One of my bridesmaids confessed to me months later that she snuck 4 slices because it was so good. If that's not a ringing endorsement, I don't know what is. They offer cupcakes in delicious creative flavors (champagne anyone?!) and dessert bars unlike anything you've seen in the area before. Get the S'mores bar. The true star of the show is their signature Cloud 9 Bar. These decadent little things are one of the best things I've ever had the pleasure of ingesting, ahem, devouring. They are definitely the crack-cocaine of the baking world bc one will be jonesing hard after the first bite. Creamy, rich, indulgently sweet... my mouth waters. We love this place! This is the second time I've ordered a complicated cake from them, and they do not disappoint. I mean, they made a nutcracker-themed two tiered cake, complete with sugarplum fairy and mouse king!! The cake was jaw-droppingly gorgeous (still talking about it a year later!) AND was really, truly delicious. This time we asked for a ballet-themed, tutu-inspired infection. It was just darling, and, again, I could eat myself silly on it--so good! In addition to the wonderful confections, we so greatly appreciate how nice and responsive the owner is. This is a rare thing in Miami and just makes the whole experience so easy and seamless. Guava mini cupcakes. OMG! This bakery provided 2 desserts for my sisters' joint baby shower: lemon and white chocolate gooey bars (yum!) and the guava mini cupcakes. You could see the lemon zest. You could see the vanilla flecks in the frosting. There were perceptible guava paste bits in the cupcakes. Not too much frosting and cake that actually tasted good by itself, which is amazing. Cloud 9 bakery did an amazing job on our baby shower cake. The cake was EXACTLY what I wanted . It was so beautiful, I didn't even want to cut it! It was also delicious. This hidden gem is located in a strip mall in Pinecrest. I discovered Cloud 9 thru Yelp. They have so many positive reviews and they lived up to their reputation. I had their chocolate chip cookie which was amazing. I also ordered a Cloud 9 bar and a chocolate and coconut bar which my husband devoured before I could taste them. I live out of state and wanted to send my mom a sweet treat for Mother's Day. In my search for cupcake delivery I came across Cloud 9 Bakery. They have a great selection of goodies to choose from, they offer delivery, and they were able to accommodate to my order with under 48 hours notice. I mentioned that the cupcakes were for Mother's Day and asked if it was possible to include a message with it. Kristen went above and beyond and included a full size card with my personalized message. Even the delivery person was great. When my mom opened the door, he greeted her with "Happy Mother's Day from Lauren" and presented her with a nice white box with a big blue bow (talk about presentation) of "Josh's chocolate dream" cupcakes. They had a great range of treats as well as they let me sample there most popular item the cloud 9 bar (delicious). I especially liked the Reese's bars. What can I say?!? Kristen made our wedding as sweet as can be!!! My whole experience from the tasting, the planning, all the way to the final day was amazing with Cloud 9. My three cakes, key lime and red velvet were delicious, and the brownies and rum balls were a total sensation at our wedding. Everyone LOVED it all. Let me tell you about Cloud 9 Bakery. I had first tried some of their goods (gooey bars and other treats) through friends that would order from them. They were so deeelicious I would always think about them for days after I ate them, especially the Oreo blondies. But I never had a chance to actually order anything but with my son's 1st birthday coming up I knew who to call. I sent them some ideas I had found on pinterest for his cookie monster themed party. They were willing to do anything I possibly wanted which was so great. So many choices of cake flavors and frosting I had to take an office poll b/c they all sounded so yummy I couldn't narrow it down. Finally went w red velvet on one tier and cookies and cream on the bottom. As an added touch they went ahead and put a delicious Oreo mousse filling. There is no words to describe how AMAZING this cake came out. It blew all of the pinterest ideas I had sent out of the water. And it was DELICIOUS, everyone raved and raved about it and on top of that they threw in some cookie dough filled cupcakes. They soooo exceeded my expectations...so great to work with, so accommodating, so responsive, and they were so great that my sister then used them for her baby's 1st birthday the following month and that cake was TO DIE. I think about those cakes everyday (ha! but kind of serious) and I just can't wait for another occasion to arise so I can use them again.
