I do like 95% of my personal shopping at CM. I have no problem wearing consignment pieces, especially since CM does a great job of purchasing clothes/shoes/accessories in great condition and name brand/designer items. I love when they do special sales like 70% off clearance (additional 70% off markdowns) and $2 clearances. Even without sales, you can always find great names for super cheap. They also have a loyalty program that could score you 10% off items. Gap, Lululemon, Athleta, The Limited, Altard State, Louis Vuitton, Kate Spade, Michael Kors, Vera Bradley, Hunter... just a few examples of brands you'll find. Always in basically perfect condition. I always stop here before I head to the mall for clothes. They also have personal shoppers that help you with your style. I utilized them when I needed advice with scarves and they helped! The woman working was extremely patronizing after asking me if I had gone to the Plato's closet across the parking lot before going to their store. She told me that they basically send their scraps over and they never take anything because it's not good. I had name brand items in the basket (Eddie Bauer, j crew, old navy, etc.). Rude of her to act like that towards potential sellers and customers that would come into the store. I will never be selling here again. read more

I love Clothes Mentor & buy most of my clothes from this chain. Last week was my first time to shop the Anderson Township/Beechmont Ave. location. It may have just become my favorite because: the wider aisles!!!, the number of brand new clothes available, the great selection of size 12 shoes (wow- new Rothy's for $28!!!), and the significant selection of a $5 sale! Entering the store I wondered if I would find enough items I "needed" to be able to use my $5 off of $25 coupon. Ummmmm... I found much more than $25 worth of items to bring home with me! We went in on a quiet Monday. while we there a consigner was bringing in things to sell. I saw a pair or shoes I was interested it. After the consigner said she'd be back in an hour, I asked what the size was on the shoes. "I can't discuss it with you since she hasn't taken our offer yet". I explained that I would be back later if the shoes were my size. The clerk said "I already told you no and you interrupted my conversation with a co-worker". Well, excuse me. This is a nice bough CM with nice enough clothes and designer hand bags, however, the quality of some of their clothes is lacking. The lulu lemon is kind of old and outdated and so is their lily pulitzer. Several times I've touched a Patagonia or an older jacket and it just feels crusty and nasty. I've also found several things with Rips, stains, and missing pieces. The staff is friendly enough with just a few who act like it's an inconvenience when you ask anything. I still come around because every now and then there's a diamond in the rough. read more

This place is wonderful! I felt like I found a treasure chest! Expensive brands made affordable plus the staff was super fire fly and didn't mind me making a mess trying all the shoes I wanted. I walked in and two girls were behind the counter talking to each other. As I walked in neither one of the girls looked my way or said a word to me. Not hello or good morning, not a thing. So I walked toward them to go to another isle and I had to say them hi and good morning and they barely said anything back to me. Continued trying to shop and find what I was looking for, but found nothing. Racks of drab clothing is all I could see, nothing that caught my eye. The clothes however were crammed in, it was very hard to pull items out to look at them. Upon leaving the store, I had to say goodbye because the babies minding the store were to busy yacking to each other to be bothered with anyone else. I probably could have stolen something from the store if I really wanted to since they were not paying any attention. read more
