Worth. Every. Penny…read more Yael was an absolute dream to work with. Her and her team are extremely professional. They are a well oiled machine, working fast and efficiently. We moved into our house 4 years ago and during the move, our garage became a catchall and every time we tried to organize and tackle it, it was just too overwhelming to know where to start or feel like we could even make a dent. I reached out to Yael and immediately she gave me the confidence that she was going to do exactly what I needed. It turned out better than I imagined and i went from being embarrassed to have my garage opened in front of my neighbors, to ready to show it off! I wish I had more projects for Yael to tackle, and once I do, she will be my first phone call!

I had spent days trying to thoughtfully organize everything myself, but I wasn't making meaningful progress. After long work days, I just wanted to come home to a tidy space where I could eat and unwind. Yael responded quickly and offered a free consultation to take measurements before our appointment. I really appreciated that she did this separately so we could plan ahead and make the most of our actual session for my needs (clothes, laundry, bathroom, and office supplies). I especially loved what she did with my closet. After learning about my day-to-day needs, she helped organize my three available closet sections into (1) work uniforms, (2) professional/meeting clothes, and (3) everyday non-work clothes. We went through my many bags of clothing and prioritized what I would realistically need (and easily pull out) over the next six months, while storing formal, out-of-season, and less frequently worn pieces. She also had great practical ideas for making better use of the space with bins, shelves, and racks. Yael has a natural ability to visualize and work with 3D spaces that I definitely do not have! I also love my clothes and have historically had a hard time letting things go, but I actually ended up setting aside about 10 pieces I hadn't worn in years to donate, to my surprise. Yael offered to help me drop them off at a donation center for veterans and women and children in need. By the time we finished, my home felt so much more open that I joked I could hear an echo (but I actually could!). More importantly, I could finally come home after work and enjoy my space instead of feeling like I still had another project waiting for me. Yael is practical, kind, smart, and very good at what she does. I honestly didn't even know "professional organizers" existed until I went down a rabbit hole trying to figure out how to organize everything myself. As someone who works long hours and has moved often, I really wish I had met Yael or known about this kind of help sooner. I'm very grateful for the good work she did in my home.

Organizing with Erin - The playroom was quite messy, so we donated the toys the girls were no longer playing with, added some cubbies, and organized everything!

** Smooth, efficient, and a total transformation!**…read more I highly recommend **Organizing with Erin**! I hired them to reorganize my kitchen, and the results are an absolute "wow." Erin has put together a fantastic team. Paige, who worked on my kitchen, was incredible--extremely detailed, focused, and a remarkably quick thinker. What I appreciated most was her dedication. Whenever I was ready to compromise and said, "Oh, that's okay," Paige wouldn't settle. She'd immediately say, "No, I'll straighten it out." That level of care and commitment is rare. Thanks to her hard work, all the drawers in my lower cabinets are perfectly organized and functional. The upper cabinets are perfect, too! If you want a seamless, professional experience and a beautifully organized home, I cannot recommend Erin's company enough! 11June-2026-

Just too much crap to deal with that I kept putting off. The predatory pricing of my storage company (90% increase in 2 years!) angered me so much I started doing research for getting help with cleaning out my garage so I could move my storage items into it. Looking on the web, Kari Jane's Simply Organized was so highly rated, I felt confident that she could help. By wanting to pay a good service to help me rather than an out of control storage company month after month after month, I figured I had a good budget to work. Kari was very warm and professional and confident she could help me. After describing my situation and sending photos, she scheduled me promptly. She came over with 2 enthusiastic and hard working staffers and they got to work right away. Very diligent and organized and they made enormous progress. By the mid-day, the garage was completely cleared out. I thought it would take 2 or 3 days at least as I had a ton of crap. They diligently removed everything, sorted it out and categorized what could be tossed, or recycled or donated or would stay. And they diligently carried away several cars worth of donations at the end. The items I kept were put in nice transparent cases with clear labels, and there was a lot of room to move my storage in. It is such an enormous relief to be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I highly recommend Kari Jane and her staff and services. Completely worth it! Thank you so much!

Our old laundry was just a cabinet in the kitchen, and it wasn't working for us. While we were at it, I decided to redesign my closet as well. Thankfully, I was introduced to Laura, and she was incredible from start to finish. She took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and brought it to life in the design. She was always available to answer questions, texted me throughout the process, and kept me updated every step of the way. Eddie was our installer, and he and Laura made such a great team. He was detail oriented and constantly checked in to make sure everything was being done the way we envisioned it. I really appreciated the entire process and being looped in. I've worked with several closet companies over the years in different homes, and I can honestly say this was by far the best experience I've had. The final result exceeded my expectations, and I'm absolutely blown away by how beautiful everything turned out. I would definitely consider them when remodeling. It's definitely worth the money.

I knew I needed someone experienced who truly understood me and would figure out a way to grant me ALL my needs/wishes versus having to settle for something nice that didn't fully meet my requirements. Enter Desiree: a super seasoned, visionary, creative designer who was assigned to me. Thank goodness! The perfect match! Desiree's ability to think outside the box, map out her vision, make it personal for me so that I could "feel" it, talk me into the right decisions (and talk me out of my bad ideas ;) -- was incredible! Not only that: she was super adaptable and flexible, making herself available after-hours to accommodate my schedule. She is clearly accustomed to dealing with high-end clients who are fussy, attentive to the details, and involved in every step of the process. She not only understood my needs and wishes; she also embraced the complexities and nuances associated with my belongings and my environment. She cared, she got me from the get-go, and she exuded full confidence that she would deliver for me beyond my own high expectations. And that, she did!  From the very first time I met Desiree when she came to my home for the design consultation through to the very last detail of the installation:  I was impressed by the high level of expertise and service I received -- as well as the quality of the actual goods. I'd like to also pay special acknowledgement to the installer, Franco, and his brother -- both of whom were incredibly professional, hard-working, precise, artistic, respectful, reliable, and personable. Two craftsmen who weren't just there to do a job; they cared deeply about the outcome -- and it shows! My home feels next level now with these beautiful built-ins! Huge gratitude to Desiree, Franco (and brother), and the whole team at Inspired Closets who worked behind the scenes to make it all happen! It was well worth my investment. If you're considering built-ins for any part of your home and want something beautiful, not cookie-cutter: request Desiree as your designer. She's well worth it! She'll manage the project from start to finish to create life-changing magic and long-lasting value for your home.

They helped coordinate donations, sell and remove items I wasn't taking, and even packed up my entire apartment with so much care. Their organization, kindness, and communication made the whole process seamless. I honestly don't know how I would have managed without them.

But if I can stop one person from wasting their time and money the way I did, then it's worth it. If you want to pay a ton of $$ for a team to put generic bins in your drawers, offer zero actual design value, be incredibly dishonest, and gaslight you when you push back--congratulations, you've found your dream company. For everyone else: avoid Composed Living at all costs. Let's start with the basics: I hired them thinking they would help me create a smart, tailored organizational system across several areas of my home. I was told they offered personalized solutions, elevated product selections, and design-level attention to detail. What I got? The exact opposite. Before hiring them, I explicitly told them I'd worked with The Home Edit for our last home and hated the outcome: cheap-looking containers with a cluttered aesthetic. The woman I spoke with swore up and down that Composed Living would never do anything like that. "Oh my god," she said, "I can't believe The Home Edit gave you that--we would never." And then? That's exactly what they did. They gave me the exact same bins I told them I didn't want. Not similar--identical. They told me they'd take measurements and would create customized solutions. What I got was generic containers shoved into drawers, and a high-end Elfa closet system from The Container Store that was so poorly planned I now have to pay someone else to redo it. The closet design didn't account for my items or layout at all. The design was lazy, sloppy, and wildly overpriced. Now, look--if there are container limitations under the sink, fine. Be honest about it. Say that upfront. But instead, they told me on the intake call (before I hired them) that "we always find a way to make it work," "it always looks gorgeous," and "it would never resemble what The Home Edit did for you in your last home." But then the end result was IDENTICAL. And the pricing? I was told there would be no markup if I bought containers through them. When I checked the receipts against Container Store prices, it looked like there was. To give them the benefit of the doubt, maybe The Container Store quietly lowered prices during that time, or maybe I made an error. But to be honest, it felt shady. I strongly recommend you price match every product if you decide to go with this company--don't take their word for it. But regardless, nothing compares to what happened next. When I raised my concerns and asked for a refund, Elsa (the founder) agreed to give me one. She acknowledged that it hadn't met expectations. But shortly after? She flipped. She became defensive, condescending, and implied I was misrepresenting my reaction to the work. Then--and this still blows my mind--she retracted the full refund offer. Let me repeat that: this company offered a full refund, then changed their mind. That is one of the most unprofessional, shady, and unethical things I've ever seen from a business. See the screenshots attached. In the end, they refunded me half. And I was left with: * A generic, one-size-fits-all under-sink setup using the exact containers I said I didn't want from the initial phone call * A poorly executed, high-end closet system I now have to pay someone else to fix * Absolutely no meaningful organizational system, my housekeeper could've done better for a fraction of the cost * And way too many hours wasted going back and forth with a company that does not value honesty, craftsmanship, or basic customer service Composed Living is a textbook example of smoke and mirrors--lots of curated Instagram photos, glowing five-star reviews (none of which reflect the reality I experienced), and the most horrific customer service I've ever seen. If you value your time, your money, and your home, do not hire this company. There are countless organizers who do better work, with more integrity, for less money. This one is all branding and no substance.

Before entering the store, I noticed an employee named Zelica (I believe that is the spelling) assisting several white customers. She was smiling, friendly, engaged, and appeared very welcoming. When I approached the counter with my items to make a purchase, her demeanor toward me was completely different. She barely looked at me, barely spoke to me, did not greet or acknowledge me in any meaningful way, and ultimately directed another associate to assist me instead. As a Black man, it was especially upsetting to experience such noticeably different treatment from another Black employee immediately after witnessing how warmly she interacted with other customers. I cannot speak to what her intentions were, but I can speak to how the interaction made me feel: unwelcome, dismissed, and disrespected. No customer should walk into a store prepared to spend their money and leave wondering whether they were treated differently because of who they are. The contrast in the level of service I witnessed was extremely uncomfortable and disappointing. I hope management takes this complaint seriously and addresses the importance of providing every customer with the same basic level of courtesy, professionalism, and respect. This was one of the rudest and most uncomfortable retail experiences I have had in quite some time.

We had customized closets in a duplex we owned years ago for two small closets and had a good experience, so we decided to use them again for our home. I also saw that they were having 30% off Elfa for a limited time. I scheduled for a designer to come to our house mainly because of my walk-in closet and the fact that it could be a little more complicated. The designer was on time and very nice. She measured our closets and also took notes of the shelves that were already in place that we wanted removed. I had some back and forth with the designer over about a week, and then it took a few more days to finalize the order. I think it took a little more time because they were checking that they had all the pieces for my closet design. The designer let me know that, unfortunately, some of the pieces I had chosen were being discontinued, so they did not have enough pieces for my order. Because of that, they upgraded my order to Elfa Decor for the same cost that I was originally quoted. I was obviously very excited and really appreciated that they did that rather than having me change my closet design. I was also quoted for the demolition of what was currently in my closet, and I found the quote very fair. I scheduled installation, which was originally planned over two days because of the demolition of what was currently in our closets and because my walk-in closet was a bigger job. The installer arrived on time and, in the afternoon, asked if he could work a little later so he could finish the closets that day. I was very happy to have everything completed in one day. The installer took all the demolished pieces from our closets with him to discard, which I really appreciated. For some reason, I thought I was going to have to be responsible for getting rid of the old closet pieces, so that was a big relief. I ended up changing my configuration a little after seeing how what I chose looked in my closet, and I appreciated that the installer was flexible. There was one item that I received in the wrong color, but luckily it was something I could slide into my closet myself and did not require the installer. I ended up returning the extra pieces from changing my closet configuration a little bit, and the store did not give me any issues. Overall, I had a great experience and would use The Container Store again for other closets in my house.
