This is our 3rd time working with Closets by Design (once in Denver, CO in our master closet) and twice here in DFW -Laundry room+master closet. When the designer comes out and helps you brainstorm and think about all the options , the whole process is great - and very comfortable because the designers stick to what you're thinking - and they stick to your desired budget! (They really can craft just about any budget) - and Jill in this case, was great about pointing out specifics that were upgrades, and what may not be as useful vs what should be an absolute-need. I appreciate that level of involvement. Of course, then Julio and the install team show up when it's install-day, and when your brainstorm actually takes shape in your house - it's amazing! The way everything comes to fruition, and is so much more striking in person than what you approved on paper. The install guys (Julio + Gerardo) are top-notch contractors- they are meticulous about their work, and they are absolute professionals. You can tell they take a lot of pride in what they do - just from the initial walk-through, to setup, to planning out their routes through your house - they're so considerate and their primary concern is making sure the client (you!) is happy with the outcome. We have been lucky to have Julio do 2 installs now at our home - first our laundry room, and now our master closet. I had my closet installed about a year ago and have been very happy. This morning, on of my mirrored doors came off it's' hinges. I called, was unexpectedly sent an email to send them a picture. They called back a short time later and asked if they could come look at the door within the hour. They arrived, took the door completely off the hinges, and they also looked at the companion door and took that door as well! From time of my call to the doors removed for replacement was less than three hours! Amazing. read more

We decided to look into putting cabinets in our garage and called a couple of companies. The other companies didn't call back, but Closets By Design called back and was so professional. We had Mary come out at "OUR earliest convenience". She was so helpful, VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE, and drew up our plan with measurements and all. The next day we wanted to change and add some things. I paid 7500 for a closet that was measured to fit my closet needs. That was with the 40/15% discount they offer.The closet did not fit my closet needs. l called and ask for additional rods and was told it would be $173 for 4 rods. l received the rods after 3 wks at no charge after l spoke to the manager Angela. She said she would look at the design.After 3 wks have not received a phone call. l purchased an additional wardrobe closet.($500) from Wayfair. So l have a $15,000 walk in closet. Not worth the money! Customer service has not been the best. read more

Leslie was our consultant and was the ultimate professional. We discussed options, images, pricing, and she accommodated our budget all in one visit. She remained in communication with me during the entire process guiding me on the next steps up until the installation. Roberto was our installer and I highly recommend that you request him. He did majority of the work by himself and worked tirelessly until 8pm modifying the current design to my revised expectations to ensure customer satisfaction. He came prepared with revised orders, organized, cleaned everything up, and there was no damage to anything. It didn't start out well due to some things I overlooked in planning, so I freaked out with the first install; they essentially executed my order as directed/discussed. However, please know once I realized what I did wrong they immediately accommodated and made it right. The error cost me a little more and they helped me reduce my cost. It was worth it because I achieved the closet that I wanted. I wouldn't change anything at this point. If anything, I'm ready to add more. I am very pleased with the outcome of our closet. It turned out exactly what I had imagined. How nice to see your ideas come true. The only recommendation I have is to not dismiss discussing costly options (for example 12 vs 16 vs 22" panels) because I learned cutting back was not going to achieve what I wanted. Before hiring Closets By Design we researched other closet design companies, and decided to go with CBD due to cost and design options. This is the second time we've done business with them, but the first time working with Shari. The first time, we didn't know what to expect, but the closets were fantastic quality, and we were incredibly happy we decided to get them done. Now...this go around...we knew the quality, but Shari outdid herself. She was punctual, creative, patient with figuring out the best design for our needs and furthermore worked with our budget. Also, the two installers- were excellent. We were given a 2-day install date, but they diligently worked to complete the install in one day. The installers were also incredibly accommodating to my WFH asks ("please hold on drilling, I have a meeting"..."can you pause for about 10 min?)...absolute top-notch service all around. I love my closet from Closets by Design! It is everything that I thought it would be. I had overcrowded my old master closet to the point that the longest rod and shelf came crashing down in the middle of the night and scared me to death! My designer sat down with me at my house on two occasions to measure and plan. The computer rendition helped me see exactly what it was going to look like. She helped me to negotiate a fair price, very similar to a quote I had gotten from a building contractor. Now I have double rods and lots of shelves. I had to wait a month for an available date but my closet was built in about six hours by two very competent men. They answered all my questions. After the closet was built, I had the closet painted and changed the lighting to add a small chandelier for a little bling! I painted the inner parts of the rod and shelf areas to match the closet (SW pure white) and the exterior to match my master suite. Now I'm having fun loading it up with clothes, shoes, handbags, etc. I put a small chair in the corner so I could sit down to get dressed. Needless to say, I am very happy! read more

Remember that this closet by design is a locally owned and operated franchise so it supports the local economy. My designer Gia was a dream to work with and she's one of those people that you wanna be friends with, go to dinner with and have drinks with LOL. They also use high end German products and the lighting they use is called Loox lighting, it's German engineered lighting. Whatever you do make sure you get the lighted closet rods, they're worth every penny! If you're going to get a closet, the only company to get them through is Closets by Design, there is no one better in the metroplex. read more

We finally had our closet and pantry installation yesterday! Jessie and Jonathan were fabulous. They came early, stayed late and were diligent and efficient with their task. Everything came out so beautiful. Would highly recommend them both for install! I worked with Anne to design the closet and pantry and she helped me build beautiful units at reasonable costs. She was always available to call/text/or even schedule appointments in the showroom. She prioritized my projects which helped the job get done fast! My original install date was in March but since we moved into the house end of January they were able to move up the install date to mid-February which helped us so much! We recently moved into a newly-constructed home. The laundry room had room for the washer, dryer, and a little left over for our Cat Genie. We had that area plumbed for a sink and we planned to build a countertop over the Cat Genie. We also wanted cabinets on the wall for storage. Went to Home Depot and was told they don't do small jobs like that. Looked for handymen that could do it. One came out to look at the job but never got back to us. Someone recommended Closets By Design. Their salesperson came out and sketched out the whole thing. We were so impressed, we had her do some drawers in the master closet as well. The guys came out and had the whole thing done in one day, a very professional job. We can't get over how clean and professional it looks. First Installation was so bad, it had to be removed completely and started over. Second installation was not AS bad, but not up to quality of work promised by, our Sales Agent (Sarah) from the start, The General Manager (Gia) and the Installation Manager (Steve) after the first disaster. Only offer made to accommodate the considerable inconvenience was $100 discount after we turned down the offer for a restaurant voucher. Now we are left to clean up the mess left over ourselves. Overall our experience with Closets By Design was a good one. Took a while from order to install but they are custom designing/making them for you. Communication was good up until installation. We were scheduled for 2 days which had all the materials been properly loaded in the trailer the first time, I would have taken 1 day. The installer left day 1 and said he was going back to the warehouse to see if the remaining parts were there and would either be back that same day or the next. I never heard back from him until the next day when he text he was 20 minutes out. Not professional one bit, I had to have my in-laws rush over there in order to let him in. If you knew you weren't going to make it back day 1 then communicate that with us and give us a window for the next day. That's my only irk with the ordeal. We love the final product besides having to have cleaned up their mess. read more

Had a great experience working with Shari from CBD! She was able to come up with designs for our closets that had some odd angled walls. We did 3 closets with her, and she came back a few times to make modifications without any hesitation. She was prompt, easy to communicate with and very friendly! Also, as a bonus, we were supposed to have our closets installed the day before our baby's due date but they were able to get them installed a month earlier. I know this isn't always a guarantee but we were so grateful that they were able to make it happen so we could have some extra time to get organized. Would highly recommend Shari and CBD! read more

Closets By Design is unprofessional, unresponsive, makes promises and commitments they don't keep, is never prepared, lies to their clients (the sales person told us the promotion was ending...still offering the promotion 9 months later); sales person makes promises and commitments with no intention of keeping; and the list just goes and goes. The sales person is prepared to tell you their sob story about bad reviews...do NOT believe them! We signed up in May and were promised full completion the 2nd week of August. Didn't happen - not even close. They made us promise to have everything ready or it would be a costly delay - we were ready. They weren't! Still aren't! They promised to be back to finish but they came back to tear some things out they messed up but couldn't repair it then or today...sitting here in Mid-January and even though the GM promised completion today, the 2 man team showed up at noon (not 9-10AM as promised), worked 2 1/2 hours only still totally unprepared without the right materials to finish, and had to go to another job. Just to be clear - they physically started the job in August and here on Jan 29, 2022, the job isn't even half complete. How pathetic is that?! They have ruined the brand new carpet we had put in, they tore up our walls, they lost or damaged expensive hardware we purchased for the handles/knobs, they can't take accurate measurements, they don't have the proper tools, the quality and workmanship is much less than promised, and no one in authority takes your call or is even available - they just send these 2 man teams who are totally embarrassed to show back up because they know how horrible this company treats their clients. This is a sham at best. These people have no business being in business! They owe us a full refund with damages! read more

Never use these guys. They put up the closet but the rip off on the walls stays as is and they refuse to paint them. They just go away and tell you to paint it yourself. I was never told of this otherwise I would not have opted for them at all. My closet looks so horribly ugly - it was much better before. tThey will also promise that they will move things with you should you move and all that - don't believe them. Once they take the money, they do not bother. I had lined up more work for them but still they don't seem to care or call me back or come in to see the bad job they have done on my closets read more
