The "donated" my clothes without consent. I lost thousands of dollars worth of clothing. I would not trust them with your things. When I asked for my things back they tried to tell me I said for them to donate. Why would anyone allow them to just donated whatever they pulled without even showing me what they pulled? Where do I start ? Jenny has changed my life - I'm not kidding. I'm the girl who loves the idea of organizing, I'll pin things on Pinterest, surf the aisles of the Container Store and buy Organizing magazines in hopes that something will "click". I also have little kids - so getting any project started and completed with the 1000+ interruptions is next to impossible at this stage of the game unless said kids are physically removed from my home - thanks, Mom! We had been in our house for two years, and I needed help - direction - not just for me, but my marriage. It may sound funny, but the house organization was a major stressor for us! I began searching for home organizers on the internet and from recommendations from friends. One lady recommended their housekeeper come over and help me. ... I literally flushed money down the toilet for someone to re-fold clothes in my closet. (NOT what I needed). I came across Getting it done, and I really called her for the first time because I liked her after photos - when she came over to go through the house - I knew I was going to hire her to help me go through the kid's toys - a project hanging over my head for two years. It was when she came that first day that I realized Jenny was worth her weight in Gold. She charges by the hour - but don't let that scare you off ... she doesn't waste a single second and is very fast. I could have hired the clothes folder for an entire weekend, and she couldn't have done what Jenny did in two hours. She can see a space, tell you what is working and what doesn't. She can utilize existing storage items, and suggest more suitable ones. I'm getting ahead of myself ... so she helped me go through the playroom - every single item was touched, trashed, donated or put away in a place that made sense and functioned well. Most importantly... this is months and months later - she did it all in a way that made so much sense - it's a dream to maintain. That first day went so well, I had her come back and do my closet, the pantry, and my most dreaded space ... my home office. (I love to save paper). Jenny will give you real advice ... and listen when I needed to tell her why that 50 year old sweater meant something to me before we put it in the donation box. A note on donations ... not only will Jenny prepare items for donating - she does it in the most thoughtful way - and has established relationships with a variety of Dallas charities who will find the greatest use for the donated items. It really did mean the world to me that these items I felt like I needed to hold on to we're getting new life where they were truly needed. She also will clean, haul away everything including donations - so when she leaves your house ... the project is actually done !!! It's amazing. I can go on and on, but know that she is worth every penny - she has the gene and brain required for this type of work. She's a superstar. I've already recommended her to friends who are empty nesters - downsizing & have been in there home over 30 years as well as moms who just need someone to help make sense of their space. Call her. I have known Jenny for 14 years and she is the most organized person I know! Jenny and her team have helped me on several projects over the past several years and both have had amazing results! Most recently, Jenny and her team did a complete overall on our garage. It was a jumbled mess of bikes, tools and toys and it is now a functional space where everything (and there is much less of it!) has a place. It is clean and tidy. Bikes are all hung and easy to get down. Tools and functional items are one side and the other side has all our kid stuff and sporting goods in easily accesible bins and hanging on sturdy hooks. My husband (who is a self processed disorganized tool guy) has a new work bench (which Jenny sourced) and all his tools are organized and easy to find! The team was great about executing a plan and procuring the right resources (and the handyman) to make it all happen! Our garage has gone from an embarrassment to a place we use for ping pong and darts and even was a quarantine painting studio for awhile. It feels like we added on a rec room!! We are so happy with the investment! Several years ago, Jenny helped me reorganize and unpack my kitchen and pantry / laundry room when we were moving back into the space after a remodel! Jenny helped me clean out three kids bedrooms, the playroom and the laundry room. It was quite a project but she was focused and efficient and we were done in no time! MOST EXPENSIVE, 100.00 AN HOUR DON'T CALL - PLEASE READ! I called Getting it Done Organizing on the phone last week and asked if they would help with a project that I had to get done. My daughter and her family were moving into my house for six months or so because they were having a house built. This is a very stressful situation at best and I was going to have professional organizers come in and as priority #1 just help me make room in my house for my daughter and her family and then I would move on as we lived in the situation and have the organizers help us streamline it even more. I had begun a home improvement project of my own earlier and so I had moved boxes and just stuff we accumulate in life into one side of my house so I could live in the other side and remodel. I needed everything to go back into it's place. So, on Friday the receptionist told me someone would come out on Monday, tomorrow, to take a look. Well, today, which is Sunday, I spoke to Jenny, the owner on the phone and she asked me to explain the job again. I tried to explain the job again and told her I had professional organizers before and she asked me who and I told her. I told her there is a "hodge podge" of stuff and boxes and totes, computer stuff, and the like in each of the rooms that I need help putting into place into four different rooms. We would have to make each room ready and organized for my daughter and her family to live; a nursery, a bedroom, a craft-room turned into a living room, and an office. It goes without saying It's not a matter of just putting a box in a room; after you put the box in the room you open the box and build the room with it's contents. Not every box was going to get open though and so I was also going to also get a very small pod for the extraneous stuff that I didn't need for the next 6 months. There was lots of moving pieces so that is why I called it "hodge podge". I could not think of a better way to explain it and the only way to know would be to have seen it herself. I could tell she was fishing for something on the phone and it became apparent very quickly. Her exact words were "what part of that is organization?" There it was! So I am not exactly sure what her definition of organization is either. Now, I had been told that the fee for this service was $100.00 an hour for the first organizer and $50.00 an hour for the second organizer and I was fine with that. I wanted two organizers because I had used a service before and I knew what I wanted. I reminded her that her employees were not going to be underpaid for any work they did at $100.00 an hour. And it goes without saying that they have free will and the doors will be unlocked if and when they decided they did not want to do the work. But she was too good to even see what the work was! Wasn't that why she was coming over on Monday for the consultation, to see what the job was?!!! When she heard the word moving from one room to the other and boxes all she could think about were her nails. (Even though I explained the existing boxes were the sizes that reams of paper comes in from the office supply store, she was so afraid of manual labor). I decided that Jenny really didn't need my money! I will go with another choice of organizer I had already talked to. So, just bear this in mind when you are making your decision about who to hire to help with your organization project. If there is dust, or a box, or maybe no air-conditioning I would reconsider this one, not your girl! Unfortunately your receptionist told me your schedule was wide open this week too. You really need the work. Seriously though, with all that is happening today with this Coronavirus, and the State and National State of Emergency we are standing in a precipus and we literally do not know what is going to be happening day by day. We are watching the news very closely and we are worried and nervous and afraid. I hope that Jenny smartens up and decides maybe she can at least look at a job before she turns it down next time, especially if she has employees that depend on her. Small business' are going to suffer through this and it is a shame. I hope someone was not depending on you Jenny for my money. I wish I had your employee's numbers so I could give them my money. I used Jenny to help me organize my kid's rooms a few years ago. I had previously used a different organizer to help me with a play room when my kids were younger and thought Jenny was much more helpful! I had Jenny help purge and organize all three rooms and she did it in just three days! She was fantastic at re-using organizing items we already had as well as involving the kids in decisions about what to keep/donate. She even took my 12 year-old daughter to Target with her to buy a few things! Most organizers just tell you what you should do, but Jenny actually does it for you. I highly recommend her!
