Corresponded with me through texts including giving me a quote for the job which I found to be a great value. He arrived on time and safely cut down and removed a 30-foot-tall tree in the front yard and he and his son cleaned up the lawn, sidewalk, and street. No mess at all left behind. On the second job two weeks later, he came alone, followed my request to trim off the lower branches of four large trees in the back yard. There were a LOT of branches! These would surely be on the lawn in the next ice storm! And just like last time, these branches don't rebound. This was disaster prevention. He hauled away all the branches off the lawn, then raked the entire length of the 63 feet long by 8 feet deep bed underneath the trees! I did NOT expect that kind of cleanup! I haven't seen that bed so clean in years! He used a blower and cleared the driveway, sidewalk and street of anything that fell during the removal. Our neighbor gave us the name and number for Tree North. Owner Israel was very professional and patient with us during the estimation process. We had a couple family episodes that interrupted us just as we had an estimation appointment. Even so, Israel made it work and we eventually got things estimated and scheduled. Israel gave us a professional clear written estimate for the work, which came in handy during the HOA approval process. Apparently, tree removal is something to be approved. On the day of the job, Israel's team arrived -- Alex, Ramiro, and Frank showed up on time and we carefully reviewed the work to be done. Alex left me with his cell phone number in case of any questions, and then everyone got busy. Cut, cut, cut, trim, trim, trim, grind, grind, grind -- they worked quickly and safely. Alex and Ramiro were a two-man team on the giant ladder, and Frank expertly made each limb disappear into the grinding truck. At every stage, they cleaned up carefully after themselves. At the end of the day, Alex asked us to review -- we had a few more overhanging limbs that we wanted to go away, and so back up the ladder he went! The arborist who came to give me a quote was great and gave me a solid bid. The trimmers came and…read moredid good work. 4 However, they knocked out 4 fence slats and didn't mention it to anyone and then had the audacity to blame me. When I contacted the office I was told that my fence was built improperly and they didn't have the tools to fix it. The wrong pins were used, it was already wobbly etc. They left my neighbors fence wide open after the work and mine with big enough holes for my mastiffs to get out and told me they'd come put nails in at some point... I called to inquire about the slats and no one had reported it to the office. I mentioned I couldn't really wait so I'd fix it and maybe they could take 100 bucks off the price for me spending an hour on the fence. No dice. They had an easy opportunity to make it right and totally failed. Had they told me I'd have gotten my nail gun out right then and there and taken care of it. Needless to say my neighbors will be going with a competing company for their work.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. I'm all for supporting the little guys, especially when it comes to…read morelandscaping services considering the bigger companies tend to nickel and dime services. However, we had a number of issues but the topping on the cake was when they argued with us that they couldn't pick up our yard debris. Our yard has several trees but nothing unmanageable or like we live in a forest of trees. They repeatedly used and compacted down our own yard debris bin rather than hauling (most or even HALF of it) away in their trailer, left MULTIPLE large piles of leaves all over our yard (many visible to our neighbors and quite unsightly to look at, and one time blocked our walking path from our backyard), and have proceeded to blow leaves into more/new piles OR the same piles, making them bigger instead of making progress by picking them up. When my husband confronted them about it, they proceeded to argue very angrily that its fall, they have multiple other contracts to follow doing ours, and that we have alot of debris and it cant be picked up every time- yet zero explanation and too many excuses for the fact that they're creating MORE piles or not picking up said piles or making them bigger, making our yard look terrible and us look lazy. Other issues: -Communication- we repeatedly had to get on them about pruning one of our trees that was hitting us in the face when walking up our hill with our kiddo. It wasnt until about 3 mths into the service that it was finally done. There here are still multiple areas (trees, bushes) that are unpruned, such as our rhododendrons that are overgrown now. - Punctuality- we started our services to be done every other Friday, but there were times where they wouldnt show up or our service would be moved to a different day without communicating this with us. One time, my son and grandma were playing in the backyard and got freaked out when one of them suddenly showed up. -Incomplete/poor work quality- we dont feel like there work was high quality at ALL. In addition to the lack of debris pick up as mentioned, we now have some very muddy, swampy areas to our yard where there was minimal grass (and sunk down from all the water) that were disregarded as well. My husband asked them on multiple occasions to please treat this, such as lay top soil, fertilize, seed etc or whatever was needed (at their own expertise) to get the grass to grow back and get thicker so we could walk the yard without sinking. Lastly, my husband had asked them at the beginning of the summer when we started services to focus on weed control, which they did do a good job with. HOWEVER, my (2 year old) son's caregiver found them spraying weed control in my son's play structure area (which is just rubber mulch anyway!) instead of asking first or hand pulling any small weeds coming through. When my husband asked them what was used, we got a very generic answer that it was "organic" and the name of the product, which upon review is still not safe around kids/pets and was still a carcinogen. NOT OK! Needless to say, we fired these landscapers and won't be burned again. I'll be putting my money into a bigger, well reviewed landscaping maintenance company this time, even if it is at a higher cost.
