I had a friend wanting to replace my Ray Ban's as a birthday gift that were stolen (at an auto shop), and since she could not come in due to work, she went online and ordered an SGH e-gift card so I could pick them up today. How long does it take to buy a pair of sunglasses? Apparently, according to the rude associate on the 800#, it takes two days for the e-gift card to be processed. They could have saved me a trip across town and an hour and 45 minutes in the store with an associate that didn't know S*** from Shinola. They offer 2-day free shipping, so why would anyone use the e-gift card? Because this is a birthday gift, I asked the associate that was on the phone with the regional manager not to bother my friend, but they called anyway! FTL!!! I have purchased many Maui Jim's and others from SGH in the past, but they just lost my current and future business. My friend is going to cancel the order and purchase the sunglasses elsewhere. I suggest you do the same! While I was there I witnessed another customer trying to get warranty service on her shades, but the associate refused unless she had her receipt. Who keeps their receipts on them for this type of thing. They even log your information when you make the purchase, and she even used an SGH card to buy them. What a joke!
