When you go to this spa you are free to come as early as you like or stay as late as you want after your treatment in order to enjoy the rooftop indoor pool, sauna, steam room, gym, or relaxation room. I never felt rushed and they encouraged me to stay as long as I wanted. The changing room was nice and had showers with soap, shampoo, etc. They can also provide you with deoderant, a shaving kit, and a toothbrush kit if asked. Along with the robe and slippers they loan you at check-in, you really do not need to bring anything. The relaxation room has bottled water, fancy teas and some nuts and dried fruit. Get all your stuff done and then the girl who's done the waxing or threading on you will hand you a receipt which you then take to the front cash and pay and you're out the door as hairless as Barbie. The prices here are unbeatable most beauty salons charge at least $50 to $60 bucks for a full-leg waxing. Here, they charge you $20 flat. Other beauty salons charge you at least $45 for full Brazilian. Here they charge you $20 flat. Eye brow threading is about five dollars. One of the things that used to drive me crazy was how expensive beauty services in Canada are and how dirt cheap it is in other parts of the world like Turkey or India. There, they understand good grooming is important and non-negotiable and essential so that's why it's affordable to everybody. My massage therapist was Karlo. I got an excellent 90-minute full-body therapeutic massage. The…read morefirst 30-40 minutes were quite intense, as he worked out the knots and kinks from my shoulders and back. If you ask for lots of pressure (as I always do), be prepared to get it as Karlo is a very strong guy. So the first half was definitely more therapeutic than relaxing. The second half of the massage was more soothing, a welcome relief from the deep tissue work. It was great - I think I was zoning in and out because I was so relaxed. The real sign of a good therapeutic massage comes in the next 24 hours. My understanding is that during massage, toxins are released, and they may make you sleepy. I had a really deep sleep that night; it's rare when I don't get up before my alarm goes off, but I was OUT. And during the day I could feel all the areas that Karlo had worked: they were tender, but not painful. I could tell that they weren't tensing up any more. Karlo is a very friendly, highly professional CMT: easy to talk to, and he knows what he's doing. The studio is clean and quaint, fairly typical - and well-located near Sherbrooke metro. In general, the service was great; the masseuses were nice to talk to and very professional. My masseuse didn't go as hard as I liked on my back, but she definitely compensated on my glutes. My only problem was the washroom - the walls were very thin, and half of it was a glass pane covered by a curtain that you could easily hear though. And while understand that's not exactly something they can fix, it still made me super self-conscious while peeing.
