He ran the serial number and saw the unit was 17 years old, diagnosed that I had an issue with the compressor which was probably about to die, and should likely start comparison shopping for a new unit. He offered to send a salesman out the next day to take a better look at the overall job that would need to be done and provide an estimate; his initial ballpark was anywhere between $6,000 and $9,000. The salesman came out promptly the next day and was very professional and well-informed, having previously been in the field himself. He took his time explaining and provided estimates for two possible units, one under 6000, one under 7000. He sent me all electronic paperwork related to the estimate on the spot; again, very professional. At the end of the day I would have been extremely comfortable going with them to replace the unit, which did end up dying completely within the next day, but ended up getting my socks knocked off with a lower quote from another AC company I've used in the past for the same, lower end unit. That said, I would not hesitate to recommend and use this company and its technicians in the future. Thank you for the excellent and quick service.

Great guy, great attitude! And it was blistering hot, not to mention he had many more calls to tend to after us! Thanks Josh! May call Tudi again for future needs. Hopefully not on a holiday- a little pricey. And yes the AC is working great!

I would strongly advise people to stay away from Crafton Heating and Cooling…read more I spent over $6,000 with this company for a new heating system that was still under warranty when my heat stopped working during freezing winter weather. After several nights without heat, a technician finally came out and diagnosed that two of the heating elements were not turning on. Instead of properly fixing the issue, he bypassed wires to the motor and charged me around $200. As soon as he left, my circuit breaker started tripping repeatedly. When I called them back, instead of correcting the wiring they recommended that I upgrade my breaker to a higher amp. I never had breaker issues before their technician modified the system. Because I still had no heat, I had to buy space heaters just to keep my small home warm, which caused my electric bill to jump to $776. I tried multiple times to speak with a supervisor named Jim, but every time I called I was told he was not available and would call back. Weeks later, I still never received a call. I finally had to hire another HVAC company to fix the problem, and they were shocked by how the system had been wired. If this is how they treat a customer who spent thousands of dollars on a system that was still under warranty, I cannot recommend them to anyone.

I noticed this past Saturday evening that the unit was beginning to fall off of my house. I gave Wade a call and they mentioned that they could not come out until early Monday morning, since this is more than a 1 person job. I asked what to do in the meantime and the technician from Wade told me that it would be okay if the refrigerant line holds the unit to the house until then. I had to call the fire department to help me secure it to ensure this did not become a serious hazard that could result in further property damage or injuring someone. Monday morning came and no one from Wade contacted me. I then contacted Wade again Monday morning and they told me someone would be out later in the afternoon to assess the situation. A representative from Wade came out at 3:30pm on Monday to take pictures. Shortly afterwards, I received a phone call from a manager from Wade stating that they could handle the repair, but at my cost since their labor warranty is only 1 year. He stated that the brick failed and this is not Wade's fault. This is despite me informing him that incorrect anchors were used as per multiple independent opinions I received from qualified HVAC professionals. I decided to have Duda HVAC come out and handle the repairs and was amazed by their professionalism, compared to my experiences with Wade. I have added Wade Heating and Cooling to my list of "COMPANIES TO NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH AGAIN"

June 25, 2025: A power surge caused my HVAC system to stop working. I called Wade to diagnose and repair. June 27: Technician Brian diagnosed a damaged motherboard and possibly a damaged thermostat. He said the repair would include replacing the motherboard, transformer, and maybe the thermostat. He said Wade would call on the 30th to provide an estimate and schedule the repair. June 30: Wade didn't call by noon, so I called. They said the repair would cost $1,000+, but no written estimate was provided. They scheduled the job for July 3. July 3: Technician Nick replaced the motherboard and transformer. He said the thermostat wasn't working, & it wasn't on the work order. He returned with a used Infinity thermostat and installed it. I paid $1,415 but received no invoice or receipt at the time. July 4: The thermostat's outdoor sensor incorrectly read 70°F when it was 85°F. The office told me it didn't matter--the sensor was only used to keep the system from running below 55°F. July 6: The thermostat displayed "SENS ERROR. SYSTEM MALFUNCTION CALL TECHNICIAN." Technician Dalton diagnosed a faulty outdoor sensor and said the sensor is, in fact, vital to the Infinity system's function. He put in a work order and said Wade would call to schedule. July 7: Four days after my 7/3 payment, I received the receipt. The Description of Work read, "Replaced transformer board and infinity control. System is operating properly at this time. Task "MISC 1" Description "Please add a description of work to be completed." Qty "1.00" Price "$1,415.00" Total "$1,415.00." July 8: Wade didn't call by 3pm, so I called. A woman said she would check on the sensor order status and would call back "in a few minutes." She never did. July 9: Wade didn't call by 10:45am, so I called. She said they'd "hopefully" come this week and asked for my availability--I told her anytime. At 11:30am, Sherry from Wade called and scheduled an appointment for July 10, 12-4pm. I asked her to confirm there would be no charge. She said she'd check and call me back. She didn't. July 10: Wade's technician Nick replaced the sensor. July 17: The thermostat again displayed "SENS ERROR. SYSTEM MALFUNCTION CALL TECHNICIAN." I called Wade. They created a work order and said someone would come that day or the next and would call first. No one came or called either day. July 19: Since Wade failed to call or show on the 17th or 18th, I called. They scheduled me for Monday, July 21, 12-4pm. July 21: Wade didn't arrive by 4:45pm. I called and spoke to dispatch at 4:45 and again at 5:50. As of 9:45pm, no one showed up. July 22: I called Wade at 8:15am. The woman said I was on yesterday's schedule but that it was accidentally canceled by Wade. She put me on the schedule for 12-4pm. Nick replaced the Infinity thermostat again and said the problem should be resolved. July 25: The thermostat displayed "SENS ERROR. SYSTEM MALFUNCTION CALL TECHNICIAN." I called Wade. Technician Nick said the problem is the thermostat. He removed the Infinity thermostat and replaced it with a very basic Braeburn thermostat and said I will have to purchase a replacement Infinity thermostat if I want its features. He would not leave the Infinity thermostat that he removed saying it could help someone else "in a pinch." I thought it was broken??? July 28: Wade said their 6/30 estimate was incomplete & that I have to pay them $1,587 more to have a fully functional HVAC system with an Infinity thermostat. They removed my Infinity thermostat and replaced it with a basic Braeburn. July 29: Wade said they would refund the $1,415 and reinstall the old Infinity thermostat with no guarantee that it would work.
